TONY56:

You have to fund it with Dollars from elsewhere and deposit directly or get it transferred into your domiciliary account if for example you want to play safe buying it from a Bureau de change or a friend within Nigeria

As I said earlier, if you have a GTB current account and you do internet banking you can open a dom account right at your desk. No other requirement. For me I don't think it was up to 15mins. you can even chat with them online and follow the instruction. just click on open additional account and then specify the type of account e.g dom or savings etc you are done. your account number will be sent to you. When you login again you will see the account dollar account as one of your accounts.

This was educative. Tnx. So can u fund the dorm account with naira? Or u have to obtain dollars from elsewhere and deposit directly?

Tnx for your kind consideration. At least, it is important that we too, feel like a part of the project. I wish to switch from plot 7 to plot 23. Keep up the good work by the way. Peace.

You can change your plot choice Sir. Please notify me so I can update my records accordingly. Have a great weekend.

thank you sir for your reply but I honestly don't think it is right for a new buyer to be given preference over me who made an initial deposit months ago. i chose to pay by installments which is one of the payment options you offered. why then do you have to look out for other buyers before I get a look in. you never specified that people who elect to make part payments will be treated differently from pple who pay in full at first. the 50k or so discount you gave them already took care of that, I thought.
spyder880:

Thank you Bro. The plots became free because those we reserved them for has not made a deposit on them. But before I accept a switch, let us see if there are buyers that will make payments on them and this provide us with necessary funds to prosecute the needed works on this land. When do you plan to complete the payment?

Hi spyda, warm greetings. I am surprised to see so many plots free now that weren't available when i chose. I made part payment for plot 7 but will like to switch to plot 23 if this is allowed. Those plots were not available when I paid.... I am also working to put together the balance payment. Had some very difficult times recently

Well, to put it rather too simply, if you got 15 percent fgn bonds over a 10 yr period. That's to say 15 percent of your 10 m will be paid you every year usually in 2 installments yearly. At the end of 10yrs, the 10m will be paid back. Like I said this is very simplistic, the bare skin and bones. Lol. But it's basically it

since the period is longer, the yield will be lower. That is the way it normally is. A high double digit yield over a long period implies the economy will get worse in the future
well, a year ago, the fgn bonds 5yr tenors were actually about same as the 1 yr ntb but now it's much lower.
Also, I were to follow that thinking above, I would expect 91day ntb tenors to have higher yields than 366 but again that's hardly the case. So my confusion remains smiley
