akinola98:Lol. That's the inherent risk in bonds, also the sky high inflation rates is another. Decision to buy or sell is yours alone to make. Nigeria has not defaulted and is not currently considered high risk for default ( she is definitely high risk for investment though at this time). My question to u is if u decided to sell your bonds now, are u going to save the money in the bank (18 percent inflation rates)? Or do you have another vehicle that guarantees capital preservation at this time? |

A quick look at the market today, the slow down in the market does not quite seem like a proper bear, more like a pull back. observe very low volumes of trend throughout the current periods. The market needed to create a support after relative bullish periods. the current levels of the market is however quite significant. If index goes lower than present levels, it will begin a downtrend. the more likely situation however, is a ranging market or a very gradual bullish return like @bbm mentioned in his video 2 days ago. the index should however be watched for a clear break in current support levels, that may be a signal to clear bearish reversal. 1 Like

Mcy56:Pls madam, we cannot allow it. Even though we shouldn't allow him derail out thread through his false and fraudulent claims. We must continue to point out to him that what he is doing is a sin before God and man. Should we, because he is a fanatic, permit him to continue to pour hatred and falsehood into other people?.... Now, you allowed him and he has obviously grown into a God deciding who is holy and who is a sinner, who is a Christian and who is not.... Isn't there a formal channel to actually report him on nairaland? He peddles lies, condemns people at will, disobeys rules, breaks order and has now delved full on into hate speech against the very people who brought that Christianity to him. If this should be allowed, then in all honesty and fairness, no post on this thread should ever be called out again, including the guys that aim to defraud others because they aren't a lot of differences btw him and those guys! 7 Likes |

RabbiDoracle:Well, based on my analysis, the current recommendation will be a hold rather than a buy. Definitely not a sell In any case, stop loss at 13.48 NB: strictly for academic purposes 5 Likes |

RabbiDoracle:Boss, Could you explain why it should fly at 17? My impressions from the chart is a consolidation or a very gradual uptrend as there are multitudes of strong resistances from 17 to 21. Moreover this is Zenith we are talking about. Flying no Dey him spirit. Any technical explanation for your expectation? Would love to know Tnx boss 2 Likes |

RabbiDoracle:I am just trying to learn TA having followed @bbm and @fxuser on this forum for a year now. I just looked at zenith charts and my impressions; After a serious gap down in March, it had since formed a strong support at 10.64. From April, however, it has been on an uptrend. This differs from the general downtrend @meshpips showed. The current most likely support, should it fall again, is at 13.48 and 12.62 respectively. The current uptrend should it continue, should reach a decision point at 16.98 (I suppose that's why @oracle expects price to reach 17. Now from here, the possibilities are to break the resistance, which if it does, it's likely to have a consolidation around there, with a gradual continuation pattern for the uptrend. The other possibility is 16.98 forms a new resistance, and it reverts to support at 13.48. What do you think? @meshpips, @oracle, @bbm, @fxuser NB...strictly for academic purposes 7 Likes |

ernie4life:for me, the fgsb is not useful. The 2 and 3 yr tenure makes no sense for bonds that are in the first place designed to be long term vehicles. I could as well go for treasury-bills with roll over. I even hate the quarterly payouts more. Interests become so watered down, they seem quite negligible and disposable. I think we should be allowed to choose what we want regardless of our purchasing power. Isn't that the idea of a free market? |
