Hi, I rhink you have to be very specific about the location to get the best asnwer to your question. Someone responded that single apartment rates between $1k-1,200/month. He might be right but thats definitely not Toronto. I pay $1,500 in a single suite in North York (not even downtown Toronto). There's currently a housing crises which has affected availability, therefore price is higher. A shared four bedroom in my building Is about $1,200. So please be specific about the area when doing your search. For shared apartments, try kijiji but better still, facebook marketplace, roomiesmatch.ca and roomies.ca In the latter, you create a profile and meet people planning to get to Canada or already there. Then you're able to pair up with people you think are compatible to you. Finally, be very careful. Too many scams and fake postings. If anyone asks you to pay a deposit just to view, likely a scam. Hello everyone, Quick question please. My mum is leaving for Canada to visit me in a few days. Can anyone tell me what the most recent requirements are at the Nigerian Abuja airport aside from visa and travel doc. Does she need covid test etc ? I left Dec 2021 which was still the early days (post covid), I'm not sure what happens now. Thanks |

Yo! Get yourself to the altar of fire 🔥, no jokes. Mum applied in October 2021, two months before I even left Nigeria as a student to Canada, I left Jan 1st 2022 but for her tourist visa, no response for almost 2 years despite reminders. She started praying with her passport every morning, 7am NSPPD. I reapplied for her by May this year and she continued sending reminders, letting them know that the daughter she's been hoping to visit has even finished school after such a long time. She finally got a response saying they'll get to her but no specific timeline is set.She sent a message the following week and someone from IRCC MISTAKENLY sent her an email about her case , from the content, we could tell it wasn't meant for her. The person was obviously bringing another colleagues attention to the application. Finally, her application was on their radar. Long story short, she got PPR a day before her birthday. She submitted last week Wednesday at VFS. She picked up her stamped passport today from VFS .I.e 7 working days processing time. Her visitor visa expires in 2030 (multiple entry/six months) I.e 7 years.. She didn't pay a DIME for DHL delivery which is supposed to be compulsory, the person in front of her was told to pay the 26,500 (Abuja vfs but, when it got to her, the guy gave to her and said you can go. What God cannot do does not exist , no jokes... 9 Likes |

Has it occurred to you that the "sell date" crap is the cause of these tight measures? exxy: 1 Like |

Hello Guys , My mum's appointment has been rescheduled by the embassy 4 times!!! The last change was from March 2022 to Nov 2022 ...we didnt want the IW worries as her date was so close but with this change, we had to cancel that and focus on the waiver which she qualifies for. Of course, the issue is date like everyone else.... I'm in an EST time zone, so it's hard to keep up with the appointment availability period however being added to the USVISAIW group on telegram / whatsapp could help. Kindly help with a link please .. Thanks |

Hello everyone, I'm wondering if a copy of my medicals is required at the immigration point of entrance in Canada. Qlife sends documents directly to the embassy, but you must pay a fee to acquire a personal copy. I wouldn't mind paying if it's required at the Canadian entry port...please advise. Thx |

The UK is more expensive in every regard, not to mention the highest exchange rate. For insurance alone, my brother paid over 2m. They have far more course options for PGD and other degrees of education than Canada. Canada, in my opinion, is worth it because there is a long-term chance of permanent residence...something that I don't believe is easily achievable in the UK. Nimi3326: |

Take it one day at a time, I understand. Definitely not easy....for about five months, my heart missed a beat every time I received an email, but that's all history now...this, too shall pass... Keep the faith! MARINA49: 3 Likes |

I use wakanow.com, bookings.com, and skyscanner to compare prices, although I usually buy directly from the selected airline if the price is better. livviee: |

Your stamped Passport 3. Covid 19 negative result 4. Receipt of tuition fee 5. Your quarantine plan ( for both vaccinated and unvaccinated ) 6. Arrive Can receipt 7. Passenger locator form( this is needed if you are transiting through UK. That is if you book flights like BA etc to be submitted to the UK government 8. Print study permit approval letter. Jxool: |

#justanopinion Choose a country that isn't currently listed in the travel restriction, preferably one that has a vaccination plan in place and is actively addressing the COVID-19 problem in their country. I say the later because other countries could still be added to the ban list, and you don't want to be in a situation where you book flights, incur fees, and then discover that the third country has been prohibited at the last minute. In my case, I'll be flying via a Schengen state in two weeks (God's grace). Other routes being explored, including Ghana, Mexico, and maybe Coutonu. According to what I've read on this platform, you might be able to pass through Mexico using the Canadian Visa granted to students (please verify this). Spend at least 14 days in the third Country , being sure to follow all of their safety requirements before moving on to Canada. At least 72 hours before flying to Canada, another depature Covid test will be required. It's a costly method, but it may be the only viable one right now. gbayi1: |

Perhaps it is because it directly affects them that they are speaking out about the UK ban, i.e. government officials who are taking it seriously. They would obviously speak out if they have loved ones or business dealings with the United Kingdom. I may be wrong but it's best we sort ourselves out, help may or may not be coming from that end...
