2018 taught me the virtue of patience and the reward of perseverance. It is never late to start all over again. Put in the efforts and eventually, you will win! |
Started life at 21. I was a naive chap who got carried away and lost out barely 100 days to the day I was to be rewarded for the about 5 years intensive military training I survived. Life was hard; emotionally and financially. I was mocked, ridiculed and humiliated and failure written all over me. All my life growing up was smooth. I headed almost all the phases of my life growth and led even older peers. I never knew what failure felt like. At 21, life became almost impossible, the experience was terryfying. I made a decision to refuse to stay down and remain a failure. The battle was hard and the sacrifices were huge. I had to begin life all over again. Did funny jobs that helped me understand fear and the virtue of humility. I never stopped working on myself since then, whatever it took. The objective was clear; to win. 8 years later, I am a fulfilled millionaire who gets paid for doing what he passionately enjoys doing, I am a better person and a success by all standards. I hope this gives strenght to people out there who feel defeated and hopeless. Never give up on yourself, you can always get better if you work on it. The goal is to win, however slow and hopeless your situation seems. Believe in yourself, refuse to stay down! |

Lai[s][/s]Liar Mohammed might not have done adequate justice to all the issues raised in Obj's letter but he sure has given a well thought and fact based reply. What nigerians are asking for is some sense of leadership, empathy and an all encompassing governement. One where appointments are made beyond ethnic and religious bias, where the common man can atleast have a dignity of life and purpose, a government where proven track records superceed political and religious allegiance. Buhari has underperformed and it is very obvious these acclaimed achievements are all the Buhari government have to offer. But our problems are beyond figures and improvements. Nigeria needs solutions, bold strides moving forward without glaring consequent devastating hunger and suffering and callousness and killings and kidnappings (or atleast bearable ones). We are hungry and angry as a nation. The fight against insurgency has been remarkable but we feel more than ever much more scared and insecured. Our media headlines have been a ping-ping parade of kidnappings, blood, rituals and more blood. Nigeria is bleeding and it is obvious our messiah is yet to arrive. I believe we can do better and be better as a nation but I also strongly believe now than ever that Buhari is not the answer to our problems. But even more disturbing is the question of who can solve the problems of our dear own native land? Who? |

@op I advise u brace up. It could get worse especially if u heading as far as Kaduna. I travel that route at least once in every 3 months. That route should pass for the worst in Nigeria. I feel ur pains seriously! |

I give it to you! Nice job. |
I was on transit yesterday and I happened to route through the Makera-Mokwa high way Niger state, when a fully loaded PMS tanker collided with an Honda Civic. Unfortunately, there were no survivors. Casualties were mostly children!

My dear, believe me when I say 'u will move on'. This thing takes time but eventually, this phase of your post-love obsession would pass too. Been in your kind of situation some years ago n even though I totally agree with you that it was a terrible experience, transcending from that impossible state of giving love a trial will gradually fade and nothing feels so good as that feeling of moving on... fleeing from the guilt; breaking the shackles of mind imprisonment! Four months is not too long a time. Just try keeping your cool and move with the flow. No need to force your feelings, no pretence, no lying to self, no need to try hard pleasing that nigga who's bn on ur neck, no shying away from places you could be walked up to, no cold attitudes towards strangers (would only make u appear insecure n socially handicapped). Just give it time! And please enjoy this moments cos u'll so miss the feelings when they are gone! |
