Was there any kind of announcement of the induction?[s] I couldn't find any post online where Lai Muhammad made any announcement to that effect.[/s]
I just saw something on this on Sahara Reporter but the induction date was supposed to be August 3, yesterday. Perhaps, they have already done it without notifying anyone.

Am thinking it would be a quiet induction, propably because of the UAVs. So it will be more classified induction.

Are you guys sure Nigerian Air Force is inducting the Super Tucano today? No announcement whatsoever. The only announcement was a post supposedly made by Lai Muhammad. So far, nothing.

It's far from been one of the darkest moments mate.
Where you in Borno 2010 to 2016 ?
If you where in Borno during this period then you shouldn't be saying it's "one of the darkest moments" in the North East.
I also think those period Samuel mentioned were actually the darkest period for Nigerian soldiers. The 2000 dead soldiers claim is way too low.

2010 to 2016 were the darkest period for the residents of Borno and its environs because of the rate of bomb blast incidents. It was also the period when Shekau reigned supreme.

As shared by a Facebook user Chimaka Cynthia Duruigbo, her father a bike man operating in the orlu axis is among the alleged ESN members paraded by the men of the Nigeria Police force.

The old man went missing for sometime now after going out in search of a daily bread not knowing he was picked up by the police and his motorcycle burnt to ashes.
Is this fair my good people

NIGERIAN POLICE WHY

This is my father ANTHONY ONYEKWERE DURUIGBO, I just don't know where to start from, Have u seen how Nigerian police is operating my father was on His way to buy something at orie okporo market in orlu ooo and we waited and waited for him, he didn't come home, not knowing that the so called Nigerian police stopped him and burnt his byke and abducted him for no just reason ... Now this is where they took him to, tagging an old innocent man a name that he knows nothing about... Is this how innocent people are been framed up on a daily basis Friends!! Nigerians!! pls speak up for my father I am tired of the Nigerian police and their operation

Pls help me keep sharing it

The people murdering police and soldiers are people's parents, brothers too. And the chances that they will tell their families they are involved with heinous crime is slim to none. So no surprise here.

And why do you have to keep on copying and pasting stories on the front page here?!

Haaaa yes na full details. Tho I don’t know if they take individual passports.

Our Previous Brigade Commander once showed us books of these records. Tho fear no gree me ask Brigadier General if they save it on a computer system too grin
I can't believe we are still storing those vital details in a booklet like true ancient people.
They need to be storing their details in a database. They also need to be collecting their fingerprint and DNA sample.

Yes first the Military intelligence guys will profile and record.

Secondly, the state government under SEMA profiles and records.

Thirdly UN International Organisation for Migration profiles and record.

Then other organizations will now attend to them.
Do the military capture them into their database or just questioning?

I intentionally picked up this snake after seeing it's belly pattern. It bit me, but it was just a bite. I mean with teeth not fang. I was initially scared, but I knew it wasn't venomous.
Typical example of a non venomous snake. Checkout it's eyes. Next pics
Zoom the first pic to checkout it's belly pattern

More details of non venomous snakes with pic below
You need to to the hospital regardless. These non-venomous pack deadly bacteria.

What do you all think can be done differently on the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway.

This is just an hour stretch road.
Do they typically use multiple gun trucks on these checkpoints?

Yes. Soldiers almost wanted to burn down that Borno express transport Park. I heard some guys there immediately you board will give info.

The recent one that happened normall drivers do deny and allow BH go through the stress of profiling. Soldiers here said the driver point hand immediately. Tho I heard Army still Dey flog am for Maimalari grin

This kind of Airlifting will it be the Hercules C-130?
C-130 might be an overkill for such task. Honestly, they can just dedicate 2 or 3 MI-171 helicopters to be transporting soldiers to points that are relatively safe.

That driver deserve serious flogging but really there isn't much he could do when his own life will probably be at risk.

My Military guys over here said a Signal came from 7 Div stopping all Soldiers in Borno from Going on Pass.

The Army is liaising with the Airforce on how to lift Soldiers to Abuja and Yola.

To kick off late next month cool
Finally, common sense is prevailing slowly. None of our soldiers should use public transport in hot zone again.

MI35M is slow, heavy, lumbering and cannot fight, return, fight again a d be ready the next day again to fight.

Only the US has done the reliability engineering work that guarantees that level of availability of helicopters . They learnt it the hard way in Vietnam.

Look at the profile of the AH1. Very thin profile and difficult to shoot down. The cockpit is just as armoured as MI 35M.

Is the production line still open?

I beg your pardon. The AH1 is still in service. The reliability is 4x that of MI 35M.
I still wonder why people don't get updated about things. The version Nigeria is planing to buy would be a able to fire APKWS enabled rockets and ATGMs.

How could anyone say AH1s are old?. Of course they were active during the Vietnam War. Of course there are modern versions flying in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco et. C.
The most serially modernized and upgraded combat helicopters in history. AH64 Apache is a slight departure from AH1 not the modern version of AH1.

As for Congress blocking it, Nigeria is actually just playing a game. The Plan B would be MI28N (which I don't like) or more of the MI35M
When the Americans come with sanctions, Nigeria wants to be able to use lobbyists to make the point "we came to you first" and you said NO.
The US may also be concerned (their capacity for silliness is high) about a future Nigerian civil War with their weapons falling in the hands of one side and the negative publicity.
Is it still in production?

MI-35M can also fire guided missile. Fvck that overpriced copter.
