Nothing there is classified info. More detailed info is even on the web. Stop abusing Military secrecy pls. Too much of it brings government distrust and fans conspiracy theories.
If Nigeria Air Force knows he took that picture and shared it in social media he will be in trouble. Taking pictures and sharing the itinerary of foreign contractor is a serious security breach. He shouldn't do it again. There are also terrorists and enemies of the state on this thread.

The recent attack on Damboa by ISWAP was clearly a probing attack. They did something similar in Askira Uba before launching the one that purportedly overran a military base and led to the death of 4 others in a relief ambush. The military should be ready for a full-scale attack soon.

This Twitter post along with the image reminds me of a joker on this thread.

I am very wary of these self-proclaimmed "intelligence" folks. 99.9999% of them are liars and embellish stories to suit their taste.

In a video circulating online, the military men can be seen with machine guns shooting into civilian homes.

The place and time where this incident happened is yet to be confirmed.

I hope they get seriously punished for this. The gunner almost shot his friend on the head.

Every information on ISWAP that I have been seeing in the last few days seem to point towards the group preparing to fight to the last in the next offensive. It will be of great help if the government can get Chad and Cameroon to launch offensives from their own sides at the same time, it will be extremely difficult for the enemy to fight on multiple fronts.
Also, NAF should be working with intelligence communities to go after the enemy's important weapons. Soften them up a lot before the offensive begins then they should continue providing CAS.

Lastly, the mistakes of former offensives should not be made, the military should already have plans to consolidate on whatever would be achieved in this offensive to prevent the enemy from ever recovering.
They are going to rely a lot on IED, suicide bombers and ambushes. Nigerian Army needs to be prepare for this.

Are there no more Nigerian civilians living in the lake Chad axis of Borno state?

Are villages no more functioning at all around the axis?
The government has banned fishing in Lake Chad basin because terrorists profit mainly from it. If they dropped bomb on your head while fishing in that area, don't cry blue murder.

Aareonakakanfo of Yorubaland, Gani Adams, has condemned the attack on the Oyo town correctional facility, saying the invasion was a national embarrassment.

Suspected bandits Friday night reportedly attacked the Abolongo Correctional Centre in Oyo town, freeing an unspecified number of inmates at the facility.

They successfully freed their incarcerated members. Nigerian prison system reeks of corruption.

NAF AIRCRAFT SUSTAIN OPERATIONS AROUND THE LAKE CHAD

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft under Operation Hadin Kai have continued their onslaught on terrorist and insurgent targets on islands and localities around the Lake Chad. On receiving credible Intelligence on 20 October 2021 that about 20 boats with suspected Boko Haram /ISWAP terrorists were converging for a meeting on an Island in the Tumbuns on the Lake Chad and at Malam Fatori, 3 NAF aircraft under Operation Hadin Kai were scrambled to carry out strikes on the targets. Reaching overhead the targets, the pilots observed a gathering of about 20 boats consisting of 5-7 suspected terrorists in each boat. Using a mix of bombs and rockets, the 3 aircraft carried out series of strikes and scored devastating hits on the targets leaving some survivors scrambling for their lives.

The operation by the air component of Operation Hadin Kai yet again confirms the high concentration of terrorist and insurgent elements hibernating in the Lake Chad general area. Working alongside the Army and Naval components as well as other security agencies under Operation HADIN KAI, the Air Component will continue to sustain its operation until the area is rid of all terrorists and insurgents.

Thank you.

Bura/Barbur people never supported BH since inception. When BH left Maiduguri into LGAs in Borno around 2013-2014.

Biu peeps barricaded their town and dished out hot instructions that anyone seen supporting BH ideology will be brought out and killed right in their stadium. Fathers were pointing out sons who they discovered had ideologies and members. Brothers were ready to kill brothers with such ideologies.

The Bura people of Southern Borno are like Yorubas. You will see siblings of different religion. (Islam and Christianity). The Bura people saw BH as a Kanuri expansion in Borno. You know previously it was Biu town that peeps expected to become the HQ of Borno state. cool

One of the big flops Shekau did was winning Non-Kanuri towns and making Kanuri’s the Amir(King) of such towns. The non-Kanuri’s in BH felt slighted and started pulling out and selling info to security team. This is why ISWAP is a bit smart to give Shuwa’s and Bunduma’s some leadership role to remain acceptable in all Lake Chad areas.

Another issue is the terrain the only way to access the town is through the roads in and out.you can’t attack through the sides. Shekau tried over 7times to attack, but could not succeed as the locals were giving ng the military 100% support.

Till date Biu is the only town with banks aside Maiduguri here in Borno.
I'm buying your book if you ever publish one.

It it literally impossible for NAF to acknowledge such actions, even if it happened!
This effort to refute the claims only makes me belief it happened.
If you know what an AA gun looks like and how ubiquitous it is with bandits and terrorists you will understand that it's impossible to pay to collect them from enemies of the state. Any idiots can get an AA gun through Libya. The fake news makes absolutely no sense and it was made up by someone who has no clue what an AA gun looks like or with malicious intent.

They did not deny the fact that the anti-aircraft weapon was seized from them by the bandit at such there is an element of truth about the payment. We r in Nigeria n we know how our people always behave.
How can any reasonable government agency pay to collect an anti-aircraft gun from bandits? This gun is so prevalent with bandits and terrorists how many would the government pay to collect? It makes absolutely no sense.

It is like saying government pay bandits to give up their AK-47. It is nonsense!
