Programming / Re: Why Are Our Software So Typical( And Mediocre) by xcitedjay(m): 11:25am On Dec 12, 2012
Gross misuse of comments.

But really @Javanian try not to get use to 'am' cause it might embarrass you when you least expect.

Truth is there is not much money in programming when you consider the hours of work spent coding and brain storming. It's the Project Managers that get the credit, in addition to the big pay.

NYSC / Re: Corpers Cause Mass Failure In Schools - Teachers Council by xcitedjay(m): 10:10pm On Dec 11, 2012
It's the lackadaisical attitude of the teacher themselves that causes this failure. In addition to the various evil and fraud being perpetuated by those in the Teaching council.

There are not even enough teachers in these schools and the man is saying it's the corpers who are forced to teach as much as 3 subjects without pay that is causing the failure. Did the man just walk out of a mental institution?

Let NYSC stop posting corpers to school abeg, let them be seeing money to chop at the expense of the students' deteriorating condition. As if corpers even want to be posted to schools.

It's for people that wants to be HIGH ~in caps~ not for people who just wanna play around with alcohol, it also cleanses the system. Heard it's good for malaria too.

Mynd_44:
The fact that some policemen are criminals does not mean they all are.

Some mechanics too are criminal, they collide with robbers and point them to when you car will have a fault so as to steal it, disable the security too.

Don't generalize
Lmao! I didn't mention Policemen. You did the generalization all by yourself. Lol

There are three criminals on that list.
Computers / Re: How Long Does Your Data Plan Last On Your Laptop/PC by xcitedjay(m): 3:58am On Nov 26, 2012
First of all(...introduction), switch off windows update, antivirus update and any other update you're aware of, even browser update.
Furthermore, get a firewall and configure it to deny access to the internet for any application you don't want to be using up your data.
Lastly, get a third party browser like Firefox and install adblock(trust me you don't want all your limited data allowance to be used for downloading ads, plus pages load faster without ads), disable loading of javascript and maybe images.
Programming / Re: Simple Java Problem by xcitedjay(m): 8:45pm On Nov 24, 2012
Just thought I should add a solution using a while loop

public class ConstantValue{
public static void main(String[] args){
int k = 1;
double term = k, e = 0;
while(term > 1E-04){
e += term;
term = 1/compute(k++);
}
System.out.println("Constant e = " + e);
}
static double compute(int k){
if(k==1)
return k;
return k * compute(k-1);
}
}

webdezzi: Hello seun,
Please can you help save valuable navigation time.
the way i browse here (i believe same applies to others) is
1. load homepage for updates
2. visit my area of interest, webmaster/programming section for updates
3. click my username, then click "View Your posts (2596)" and when on that page, i right click and open each in new tab, then i close each open tab after being addressed.

why not put the link "View Your posts (2596)", next to the username above
so we have

i believe no one uses Trending, recent and new, since trending is on homepage already.

The main reason we visit our previous posts is to see those who quotes us so we can respond to their posts.
it will save time if we have "quoted" or "mention" inplace of Trending, Recent and New
Thanks
Trending isn't the same thing as what's on the front page

@OP It's clear that you can't wait for him to buy a 'bed'. Since he doesn't have a 'bed', you might as well buy for him or humor him back by telling him you don't like doing it with 'bed'.
PS. bed == very strong & rare brand of Viagra
Phones / Re: Airtel Adjusted Their Data Bundle by xcitedjay(m): 12:27am On Nov 20, 2012
That's true. I loaded N400 and subscribed for the 1 week plan expecting to have zero Naira remaining but noticed a balance of N100.
Phones / Which Network Has The Most Reliable Internet Plan? by xcitedjay(m): 12:21am On Nov 20, 2012
A few of the Service Providers I have been fortunate enough to use their internet or data plan includes MTN, Airtel and Etisalat.

From my experience MTN has been quite unreliable, the few times I subscribed for their data plan my data usage ran faster than my browsing speed.

Airtel on the other hand had been manageable up until a couple of days ago my remaining data allowance mysteriously disappeared from my phone, before that I had already noticed a discrepancy between the data balance I got using *123*10# and the one returned using *141*712*0#.

The only Communication Service Provider that hasn't disappointed me yet data-wise is Etisalat. They have the most pocket friendly data plan and their data plan readings has been quite accurate to the best of my knowledge.

Which of 'em has been reliable to you?

Computers / Re: How To Devise Passwords That Drive Hackers Away by xcitedjay(m): 1:52pm On Nov 16, 2012
gbigbega: Another way to have a secure password is to make a long statement your password. Even though it's an English word, as long as its long ( say 24 character). It will take a hacking software years of constant attempt to be able to get any close. An example is "NairalandForumNewPostPage" or "ThisIsHowIGetIntoMyComputer". Trust me no hacker can hack that.
Trust me you don't even need to be a hacker to hack that password.
Why not just save yourself the stress of typing the long password and use 'Abc'?
