This perhaps,is the funniest thread I have viewed on NL. Hilarious stuffs all round. Let me add an experience.

Some years ago,a friend of mine paid a babe a surprise visit in one of the Polytechnics in SW(Osun or so,can't really remember). When he got there,he met the babe and they had a nice time,even though she didn't like the surprise visitation.

After spending some time with her,he decided to go into the Campus and flex a bit(as a Lagos boy). He met with some other guys and he stayed up late till around 10:30pm before heading back to the babe's house.

Unfortunately for him,he met some OPC guys on his way to the babe's crib,and when they accosted him(being a strange face),he told them he was only visiting his babe from Lagos,and not an "external".

So,they asked for his ID card and all that,and he said they were in the babe's room,so they escorted him down to the room to confirm.

Unbelievably,when they got to the room and knocked,it was a man that opened the door,then the OPC guys asked the babe to confirm/corroborate his story....she DENIED ever seeing him in her life!!!

So,the OPC guys took him back to their base,and gave him more than enough beating (maximum shi shi tinz),they even asked him to fetch water through out the night,and he kept watch with them till the break of dawn.

It was a really bad experience and a funny one too.

You don't wanna know what the guy did in subsequent relationships(as a form of revenge),before getting married....lool

Very solid ride. However,those aint Suicide doors,but Spyder/Scissors doors. Wish it could go at a lesser price.

According to my mum,the first time was a nightmare for myself and her,as it took over 10mins and about 5 Airport officials to cajole me into going into the 'big bird'.

Years later when I boarded solo,it was still a nightmare. A 6-hour flight,filled with so many surprises,upsets and all that. From asking the hostesses if there was a pill I could use to cure my Barotrauma,to trying so hard not to hit the seat in front with my knees,nor the lady beside me with my elbow,trying hard not to look outside of the window,and a whole lot more!
Easily,that was one of the longest,most torturous 6hours of my life!

Two different things, bag search happens every now and then, even here in Lagos. Phone search is a definite No No. Personally, I find it demeaning as they wouldn't try that with any self respecting person.

Again, any self respecting person would say No and cite privacy policy and subsequent offer to make available any document or answer any question that would help them come to a decision. I am sure you would do just fine if your purpose of entry is genuine.

Well,i have never experienced a phone search at any Port of Entry. Not sure what my reaction would be if it eventually happened tho'.

Hi MII6, it's a common issue,especially if you seldom use the road at night. However,what you can do is to keep your sight on the rear light of the vehicle in front. This will help in rendering other distractions minimal,while aiding your movement and distance.

If there is no vehicle in front,then you can keep dimming and 'undimming' your headlamps intermittently,as this will help in focusing more on the road .

Let Driving Experts in the house give more professional advice.

The remote control will still be very much relevant. You can't get full OEM Remote control functions on wearables and mobile devices.
