He said, “They are doing a hatchet job because they are being paid from Kogi.Well, two can play the game. If Akpabio, Imasuen and Yahaya Bello can sponsor the Kogi recall, nothing wrong with another person sponsoring Imasuen's recall. If Natasha's recall scale through, I expect hundreds of recall to be launched. Because it will be clear that you don't need constituents to recall a candidate, just hire some group of boys to help you sign thousands of signatures over the weekend. I really pity those members who are not in good standing with the governor of their state. INEC will need to increase its budget to accommodate the coming recall and new election tsunami. |
Correct. |
She revealed that after his arrival in Abuja, he called to confirm his safe landing.Gullible wife. You confirmed his safe landing but you got angry at the interview he did. Does he need your permission to grant an interview? She was obviously cajoled into panic mode by Fubara. How low can Fubara go to be targeting his opponent's family? |
press9jatv:The wife has nothing to gain by "exposing" an alleged plan she was never part of. When did housewives start getting invited to political meetings of their husbands? Just relax and let the issue clear up in a few days. |
Fubara can now see how it feels to be out of power and be a target of negative press. The truth is that Dr. Nwaeke has been compromised, and whatever he is saying is only aimed at fulfilling his promise to those who may have paid or coerced him to lie against me.I don't doubt the man may have been promised something but everything he said is the truth. |
Everybody knows this already. It is just that some people don't care because they believe the governor is an emperor and has the right and power to bomb the assembly and remove elected lawmakers from their seat by decree. |
DSS1335:No plan was exposed. The woman was paid and promoted to also read a script. So, why do you support reading of one script while opposing the other? |
Svoboda:Think of it, if Wike was the one who forced the head of service to resign and then fly him to Abuja, that means he is in charge and things are definitely falling into line for him. But if all these moves are not his doing, then he also become a pawn. Which is it, that Wike is in control of the sole administrator or he has been sidelined? |
Sonnobax15:So an Ijaw man fighting an Ikwerre man on behalf of another Ijaw means being rejected by his people? I didn't know Ikwerres are also Ijaws. |
Iamgrey5:Who is the "world" in this case? Don't tell me it is the same independent countries that you can't even get to do something very basic stuff. Every country works for its own interest and not the "worlds". |
TRUTHaDDICTED:Stark illiterate! my post was not for idi ots like you |
Empresa:Stop promoting ignorance. There is no Sharia court anywhere in the SW! |
ImpartialGuy:This is not a sharia court, it is a mere panel. There is no conversation to have about Sharia courts. If that time reach, then it is time to split the political entity. |
Creamypie:Armed robbery was very much rampant during the military era. In fact, most of the most notorious and infamous armed robbers rose during the military regime. Yes, death penalty deter crimes but it isn't everything. |
LagosOrigin:My post was not addressed to illiterates! |
The kings of both towns should be deposed or threatened with deposition if any violence occur again. Then arrest the top chiefs from both towns too and charge them with incitement. Rinse and repeat and the crisis will disappear. |
khalling2008:Like most people, including the governor, you are ignorant of the issue. What is the business of anyone with what some people do inside mosque as long as it is not a crime? A panel does not require the governor's approval, so your post title is nonsense. The main issue is Sharia court, not some inconsequential panel. There will never be Sharia courts no matter how much some people cry for it. |
chidiokay:Of course, everybody knows Sanwo-Olu's identity and post. Knowing in this context is about ongoing relationship and not chanced meetings. Having met someone doesn't mean you know them. There are some certain conference that could let you meet some governors or senators. Does that mean you know those you meet in such setting? |
PigTormentor:I agree attacking Tinubu here is a political tactics. But it doesn't make sense attacking the tabloid which was obviously paid for the hatchet job. My guess is that Obasa camp planted the story to kill two birds with one stone. |
Spy360:No, the OP lied by blaming an ex-governor for an alleged fund diversion that is not even possible except with Fubara's full approval. I think you are confusing issues. This is about the happenings Fubara's tenure and not Wike's past tenure. When Wike was the governor, he could have done whatever he likes. But that is not the discourse. I cannot be stealing money for you to be chopping because at the end of the day, I am the thief not you.Do you know you just contradicted yourself? Who is stealing money for who? You didn't just call Fubara a thief, did you? There are only 2 interpretations here: 1. Fubara was stealing money for Wike, wonder why not for himself though If Fubara was the one stealing for Wike after he became governor isn't that an indictment on him? And why did he allegedly asking the IRS chairman where the money goes if he was the one authorizing it? 2. The IRS chairman was stealing money for Wike without Fubara knowing. But this isn't possible. Taxes are paid to state government accounts and not the personal account of the IRS chairman. In fact, the chairman cannot pay his own salary without Fubara's approval. If Fubara wasn't stealing for Wike and the IRS chairman couldn't steal for him for lack of power, so how did the missing billions rumor start? My guess is propaganda directed at those who don't understand how government work. Such people don't know that an ex-governor stealing ends with his tenure. |
franugo:So you believe an ex governor has the power to tell a serving IRS chairman to divert money to him. But the idea that a governor and his godfather can support different speakers for the house is far fetched to you? This is a widespread issue and even a recent one was the Lagos speakership where Tinubu support the incumbent and the governor the deputy. |
ElevationD:Ex-governors embezzle money while in power, not while out of power. The OP claimed the IRS chairman is declaring incomplete revenue on behalf of Wike while Fubara was still in charge. That is not possible, as only Fubara himself can authorize such diversion. Or you were not aware that Abacha used the then CBN governor to directly receive cash is dollars, pounds and other European currencies from the CBN vault? Is it not the job of the state governor to give the instructions, while the civil servants, in this case the accountant general, etc to perfect the paper work of removing the funds? You are missing the point, the issue is not about whether a governor or a president can embezzle government funds, everybody knows they can. But the OP lied that an ex-governor was embezzling money while out of power. Please follow what happens a little more. What we all read above is the exact narrative that we have always heard since 2021.If Fubara supporters claim Wike embezzle money while in power, it is logical, but saying he was still diverting government funds using the IRS while out of power is insane. |
Tales by the moonlight for the gullible. There is no way an internal revenue body will directly deduct money from government account which the IRS chairman has no access to but the governor himself. Fubara only pretended to not be interested in governorship to fool Wike into thinking he was not desperate for power. The source of the fight was the nomination of speaker for the house and not some phantom billions story. Fubara wanted Ehie and Wike wanted Amaewele, Amaewele got elected and Fubara declare a war. He tried to buy some member of the house into impeaching Amaewele, he bought three of them already but when word got out, Amawele tried to protect himself by impeaching Fubara. Fubara also learnt of this and bombed the house before the day an official indictment will be prepared. And that is how we got here. |
DaddyCoool:That is because you don't understand the meaning of development. You think it is high rise buildings in certain district or having the record for the longest road, tallest building blablabla. Generally, things that amuse the lower class. DEMOCRACY IS NOT FOR EVERYONE!Absolutely, that is why you can simply move to an autocratic state to escape democracy. China doesn't have democracy,China actively suppress democracy movement. Note the difference. And the fact that Taiwan exists as a democratic and prosperous state prove that their is nothing special in Chinese nor deterministic autocracy. It is just a means to maintain elite power. neither does Russia!Sp what? Massive oil reserve plus nukes courtesy of its eastern colonies. Gadafi was military. So what? What was Gaddaffi's achievement? Sharing a little of the abundant oil resources to Libya's few citizens. Any idiot can do that. The best and most expensive Nigerian building abroad (Nigeria house near UN in NYC) could NOT have been built under demo - because it is a "waste of money"!I suspect you have a naive view of development and you just confirmed it. Governance is all about pomp and pageantry to you, the people be damned. It is no surprise that you worship the visionless spendthrift military guys who enjoyed massive oil boom but could not deliver any nationwide essential infrastructure. |
Is there a confirmation? The picture is not enough, as he might be seeking attention online. |
So there is nothing about enhancing electoral integrity. I don't blame them, they can make law that will render them jobless. |
chukiz:Immunity only last until the tenure ends. There is no immunity for past presidents. |
The scandal is good for the "youths". Since it started tens of groups have been hurriedly created or funded to issue statements on behalf of people who don't know they exist. At least, the national cake will get spread out until the issue die down. Next is PDP elders, women and adolescents. |
DaddyCoool:No, the cost of governance is very different from corrupt practises. Don't confuse the two. If you are only concerned by the cost of governance, you should be advocating for a lifelong monarchy or emperor, not military who could be deposed via coup that will likely turn bloody and may even lead to a civil war. For those of us who place value on principles beyond money, we will advocate and support any democratic system over some gun totting idiots in uniform. |
Pigstormentor:See this dullard feeling important. He even talks about reasoning, something he is incapable of doing. A wasted life searching for internet validation. |
