An Indonesian airline with 54 people on board is reported missing in Papua region.
Agency report said contact was lost with the Trigana Air ATR 42 turboprop just
before after take-off from Sentani airport in the regional capital Jayapura.
The plane was said to be flying to the town of Oksibil in the south of the region.
There are indications that the plane crashed due to bad weather.
Those on board the aircraft included 44 adult passengers, five children and infants, and five crew.
Spokesman of the Transport ministry Julius Barata confirmed the disappearance.

Former Nigeria international, Etim Esin, has hailed
the promotion of Kelechi Iheanacho to the
Manchester City first team squad for the
2015/2016 EPL season.


On Wednesday, Iheanacho, alongside two other
academy graduates, Jason Denayer and Marcos
Lopes, were confirmed during City’s annual award
ceremony.


In a chat with completesportsnigeria.com, Esin
described it as good news to Nigerian football.


“It’s a welcome development for our football,”
Esin said. “He has been doing his best and I have
been following him in Manchester City’s pre-
season tour, he has been trying his best.
“They’ve decided to give him a chance after
investing so much on him and I believe he will
not disappoint because he has shown how
talented he is.”


Esin went on to express confidence that
Iheanacho will enjoy a run of games in the first
team in the coming season.


“I believe he will get to play in some games
despite the number of top players in the squad,”
Esin told completesportsnigeria.com.


“He has shown that he has what it takes to be in

Rome – A boat packed with migrants from Africa overturned in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday, pitching passengers into the water, the Italian coastguard said.
