Ha! Fair heart you decided to grace this page today, you are one of oldest and finest helper it's been awhile I lost Ur contact It's been like 4years back,I have reached out to a mutual friend to give me Ur contact. Please once a while make U dey encourage people this group God bless baba
fairheart:
This is from one my old posts. I hope it helps someone!

The rules still apply. Every student still have a chance, even after 2-7 denials. Even after 10 refusals!!! Yes! I keep saying it: I know more than 4 students who got their visas after 4 denials respectively (the 5th time). I got mine after 9 attempts! One of my closest friends, 8th attempt!

Why so many denials if they were to be granted eventually? I have no idea. I also know several students who got it first appearance. I once tried to look at the determining factors between these two groups, and I can't find much. The first-time student appear calm, confident, and did not have occupied fear of denials, no travel experience either. One of them is a close friend. Victor is a simple guy; he doesn't worry or carry things for head. He is a good example of calmness. On his interview day, he behaved as though he is unaware that US embassy denials a lot. He took himself there and got it. (of course, there are other factors).

I have learned that we can't achieve much in this life if we are not confident and calm in our pursuit. So, I want to encourage prospective students. Learn these qualities as you prepare for your interview and in other areas of your endeavours: confidence, ability to be calm under pressure (this doesn't come easily except it's in your gene to take things lightly. For me, it is difficult experiences that taught me calmness, and I am still learning).
Please don't picture yourself in another student's scenario. Someone has been denied, but it is not you. Have faith and keep calm.
You need to find it within yourself to believe that your case is different. And even when you're denied, keep believing.

You want to leave Nigeria and never have anything to do with this country again? You don't like it here, and you want to go as fast as you can? Well, change that perspective. No carry America education for head. It will happen, but let it not be do or die, or else, you will put yourself under unnecessary pressure and it will not help.

I am just looking for avenue to encourage you guys.

Hey 🤠

1. She does not need an interview . You are the one who need the interview . Her parents must send an invitation letter to you (requesting you to bring the kid over and stating the reason why they cannot come themselves as well as why you were chosen.

2. You will use the invitation letter , with other support documentation (proving their parentage) to apply for your visa . The embassy might ask you to bring in the kid but it's not compulsory, they can authenticate her detail via her blue P.

Best Wishes 🙏

Many thanks for this.
Please would I still have to wait for interview date or can I get interview date faster through any emergency because she is meant to go back this summer.

OyoTunjiUSA:

Hey 🤠

1. Apply alone with the special kid . You will stand as her only accompanying family person since she cannot travel alone and that's a good omen for you to get your visiting visa this time around . You will have a very good reason to get your visa .

2. Your 2 kids and your husband, and your 16 yr old house-help are also a very good ties for you to return to Nigeria quickly. If you include them in the visa application , then that would be unreasonable and might be termed an intending Immigrant family .

3. When you secure your B1/B2 visa , it would be easier to get future visa for your 2 kids , and your house help , while your husband has a good travel history on his own. Don't do otherwise, but with God all things are possible .

*** As per your house girl , you will have to adopt her (legally with government papers) and apply for visa for your 3 kids (including the house girl who is now your daughter ) in the future . You need calculation and patience to get visas for all of you , otherwise the embassy might flag your profiles as intending Immigrant family .

Best Wishes 🙏

Thanks for this reply please how does this part work if she doesn't need a visa, will I be allowed to take her for interview along with me since she already has her blue passport.

Good evening house, please I want to apply to the US with my husband and my 2kids (3/4yrs) with my house girl of 16years.
I have applied for student visa like 3times four years ago then I was single and I was denied all 3times so I stopped applying for it due to the trauma of Failure.
My brother and his wife in US has been pleading that I reapply with my family, but I have been scared to try again.
My Niece who is an American citizen has been staying with me for awhile now cos she is a special kid and she is due to go back to the US in few months time which will make it her 1 year of staying with as she has gotten better than before.
My husband has a good travelling history and he is a permanent resident of an Asian country, I have not travelled out since I got married.
Please I need your advice should we apply as a family and use my niece as a case study to return her back to her parents,or should we apply on our own, what's the best chances for us to apply plus she has barely few months to go back and we have not purchased the form yet plus the long time to wait for appointment,
My question is:What's the best case scenario for us,I would appreciate your advice.

N.b: we don't intend to Japa we just want to be able to visit my brother and his family during occasions as a family, because we have a joint bussiness running here in Nigeria.

what was your first baby weight at birth? 4.1 is not that big more so, baby's weight from scan is not that accurate. I was told that my baby was 3.6 but on delivery day baby's weight was 2.95

The scary account of how a man forced himself on his wife who during the birth of her child passed out twice, also with an episiotomy, gave me a lot of goose bumps that I felt I should share it here

Perhaps the information could be of help to expectant mothers. especially to the young women out there who are just giving birth for the first time.

So, I will try to recall the story as much as I can.

The woman's name was Lucky. During the birth of her baby, she narrated how she spent about 19hrs in labor, screaming in pains to the point that she passed out twice. And for each time she woke, she continued screaming, begging for a CS, but was denied.

This continued until she eventually had an episiotomy, and with God helping her, she was able to push the baby out. But then, she passed out again out of exhaustion.

And in case you do not know what episiotomy is, it is a cut given at the opening of the vagina just to free up space for the baby to come out easily. And this usually occur most times when the size of the baby happen to be bigger than the mother's cavity.

So eventually, Mrs. lucky was revived back. She went home, but according to her, the healing process was hell as she kept itching down there. On many occasions, she would have to sit directly in front of a standing fan naked just to feel better.

Now 4weeks after she started getting better, her husband had to force himself on her, after his friends advised him that his wife was perfectly healed, and that her claim of still having pain was an excuse not to give him sex.

That was how the whole nightmare started again. As she had a terrible swelling around her private region and the episiotomy site got infected, bringing out pus and blood. She then had to run back to the hospital for treatment.

After reading the account of this woman on twitter, I had to find out for myself what actually was it with childbirth injuries. So I contacted few married women and a registered Nurse/midwife who gave me a lot of account of what most women pass through during childbirth. And it is scary.

But from what she told me, these things: the episiotomy, fainting, swelling and all whatnot can actually be avoided if only the woman would prepare herself before her EDD approaches.

And by preparing, I mean having the knowledge or being better informed on certain things she needs to do to lower her chances of childbirth injuries significantly. One of such is:

* Having an understanding of her baby's size in relation to the wideness of her birth cavity.
Some pregnant ladies don't go for scan to ascertain the size of their babies until few weeks to their EDD. Then when they hear their baby weighs 2kg, they start eating uncontrollably so that in a matter of weeks, the baby's weight doubles.

This alone is one of the pitfalls most pregnant women fall into. If you are an expectant mother, please don't set yourself up like this.

According to the registered Nurse who provided me with a lot of information I have tried to briefly summarize here, to avoid childbirth injuries, there are 4 very important things a pregnant woman must do.

While two of them must be done back at home, the other two must be done at the first and last visit to the hospital.

And it was with these 4 natural techniques she was able to help more than 200 women give birth to their babies without a cut, tear or episiotomy.

No drugs, no concoction to drink or going to the gym house!

It was hard to believe until I saw her video and her website where she explained a lot of things, including the pool of testimonials coming from women who obviously had fun giving birth; thanks to her coaching.

I believe she's going to be of great help to you if you are an expectant mother. Because the fact is that the greatest job any woman has with pregnancy is not about 'getting pregnant'. It is about 'giving birth'

I would like to share her video with you as well as her free materials.

You can reach out to me through my email address so I can direct you to her website and the resources she has created for you.
