The best you can do for yourself is to build and structure your life independent of Nigerian political decisions. It's neither stable nor reliable, no consistency, no blueprints, etc. If it favours your business today it can equally collapse it tomorrow. So I know what I'm saying. anonimi: Whether you buy politicians’ agenda or not, every single aspect of your life is affected by their decisions and actions in public policy and lawmaking plus enforcement. |

As For me I'm not buying any of these people's agenda coz none of them has added any value to my life, whatever rocks their boat.., anonimi: So why did Tinubu and Obi support Jonathan to use the tribalistic turn of the north in 2011?
Why should the south have another turn next year when it would have 17 years of President, compared to 11 years for the north? |

This is one of the commonest reasons marriages crash.
Believing you can change fully grown adults or believing they will change all because of love?
Sometimes you see a temporary change but trust me it won't last, most times that temporary change is just a pretence.
Marry only when you both know you can manage each other flaws, bad sides, etc coz no one is perfect, else remain single for the sake of your peace of mind. |

shortgun: If state police aren’t allowed to fight terrorism then what’s even the point of having them? I thought the whole reason for state police was to tackle insecurity and protect people at the grassroots level. But now they’re being barred from handling terrorism? Only federal police is allowed to tackle terrorism...same federal police that has failed in that aspect for years? This just doesn’t make sense. What exactly is wrong with Nigeria? It's good you identified that flaw/setup, at the end of the day there won't be any solution to the insecurities. Boko Haram, iswap, bandits, kidnappers are the main reason we're shouting insecurity today and all these fall under terrorism. The federal police is already ineffective in combating these criminals earlier mentioned and now if the State Police won't have jurisdiction over them what's the essence. Those who are jubilating over state police should think about these points and instead demand more jurisdiction for them else it won't solve any insecurity problem. Even Amotekun have jurisdiction to combat terrorists. Small time na superiority gbos gbas between federal and state police we'll be seeing on daily news. And they'll also be a good tools during election. |

You're right, you could see I didn't generalised I said some of them and it'll also be a difficult thing to know those who are good, maybe base on recommendation. Back then a colleague of mine was shot by armed robber in a bank. He spent months at the hospital at last they wanted to cut off his leg, his siblings later took him to his own town and he was successfully treated without being amputated even though he's limping the leg after then Marigold2rock: In as much as i do not want to discredit the work of this traditional bone setters, especially in very Rural settings with little or no access to health care. But you know what, most cases that have ended up as amputation in the hospital are as a result of trials and error from this traditional bone setters, in which in many cases they end up compromising the vascular integrity of the affected limbs or body parts leading to ischaemic changes or gangrene of the limb. So after such trials this patients ends up in the hospital at a point where nothing can be salvaged. So it's either they end up with amputation as the only option to keep them alive. Yes I agree in simple fracture cases this bone setters might do their trial and it works , however not in all instances. They work blindly , no knowledge of an Xray or knowledge of a Doppler scan incase of a vascular injury. Most cases of deformed limbs or disproportional limb discrepancies started from the initial trials and error of this bone setters. Please let's be guided when we are making some kind of claims |

Atiku will only get 25% in the south if Obi is not on the ballot and the work seems more easier for Tinubu if Obi is on the ballot. That is the simple truth. If Obi is not on the ballot most if not all obidients will vote for Atiku. The best and surest way would have been joint ticket of Atiku and Obi but that's in the past now. |

How will they even know what you're saying when majority of them haven't even entered plane let alone of knowing how Nigerians are being treated at Port of entries around the world. Another one is after you've been allowed to enter then looking for employment your case are always treated differently, where others are being employed you'll be told "sorry there's no vacancy at this moment but you can submit you CV for future opportunities". Sometimes you feel relunctant to identify yourself as a Nigerian all bcoz of the bad eggs among us. Some people up their are saying the ratio of criminals to law abiding Nigerians abroad is one: millions but that's not through. Those you thinks are the good ones when you get closer to them you'll discover that just few of them are actually law abiding and are yet to be busted. One of the causes is that our societies celebrate riches above integrity, we equate travelling abroad to becoming a billionaire and you'll be mocked if you come back home without becoming one. So it is "get rich or die trying".... I see no hope in sight coz things are getting worse, maybe until every country shut its door on us. Most Nigeria didn't believe UAE could do that, claiming it's making more money from Nigerians patronage than other countries but we all saw what later happened. commoditiesnig: Don’t Be Silly and Ridiculous! For Every One Nigerian in jail/imprisoned in a foreign country, hundreds and thousands of Innocent Nigerians travelling abroad or based abroad are subjected to PROFILING.

This is nice but it's not good for everyone. Some women can kill their husband who has billions or multi millions in account if they know his pin. Few men too can do that but it's more on the women's side. This is simply bcoz most married women want freedom especially if the freedom will multiply their wealth. Ask Bill Gate and co. Politics › Re: Tinubu Approves 1000 Forest Guards In Oyo, Deploys Rescue Team by Xpol: 8:56am On Jun 01 |
Honestly I don't know the solution. One thing I noticed about Nigerian is that some/many Nigerians have "Stony" heart many are criminal minded, many doesn't fear the consequences of their criminal acts. The most dangerous criminals are does who doesn't fear to die, these set of criminals are the hardest for security agencies to contain and can only be contained by security agents who have same mind and do not fear of dying. Forget about politics if a new government comes to power these insecurities will still continue. The major cause of the insecurities is years of systemic failure and mismanagement by those in power, not today's action. The day you fail an exam is not the day you get your report card, the failure already started from when you refused to attend class, read your notes, refused to ask questions on what you don't understand, etc. The army or police we are expecting to enter the bush and combat these people, many of them joined the force for survival not for the passion of saving lives and properties. If the system is working, believe me over 60% of those security agents will be in other professions. Then those who really have the mind and passion to serve will have the opportunity to get in and it won't be about connection bcoz it won't be competitive. To be honest I was also among those over 60% I didn't have the liver to take riffle and entered bush to combat bandit, during my time I wasn't going to road block/check point , I didn't have the liver to combat armed robbers but I'm also not the type that take bribe, so imagine having people like me in the force and be expecting us to enter the forest to combat bandits lol. Those who even have mind doesn't have the moral. Conclusively our failed institutions over the years bring us to this mess and it'll also take years before the mess can be cleaned (that's if everyone can sit tight). And not only government responsibility. Gotocourt: What do you think is the solution? Our military is understaffed, mobilisation can take almost 48hours. Till police action fails, then military 🤷🏿. |

Politics › Re: Atiku Visits Hayatu-deen, Aftermath Of ADC Primaries by Xpol: 4:47am On Jun 01 |
In Nigeria politics, opposition are seriously praying that the ruling party fails so that they can have advantage of taking over. When they take over the ruling party that turned to opposition will start praying and working for the down fall of the government so that they can reclaim power. The cycle continues, so Nigeria politics is not about making the country better is all about personal interest. If you like rebrand any of these politicians and turn him/her to an angel or Messiah na disappointment and regret go still follow. It's either about power, money or both dgr8truth: The opposition is one of the key reasons we find ourselves in this mess as a country. They have no credible solutions to the myriad of problems we face. If they did, they would have already presented concrete, visible steps they intend to take to solve them. Instead, all we hear are vague statements.
The opposition has failed to hold the government accountable and force it to fulfill its constitutional responsibilities. They seem afraid, more focused on politicking and scheming to grab power—only to squander it. They are simply not serious.
Atiku would be an even worse president. He is self-centered, driven by a desperate ambition to become president, and unwilling to make any real sacrifices. What kind of leader would he be if he cannot even honor the north-south rotational principle that leaders like President Tinubu have disrespected? That kind of intolerance is a dangerous trait. He does not have my vote—not at all.
It’s time we start thinking first and foremost as citizens. We have very little time and few opportunities left to change the direction of this country for the better. |
