Few hours ago, Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, conceded defeat and congratulated Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his victory at the just-concluded Lagos State governorship primary.  Sanwo-Olu who was endorsed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader, polled 970,851 votes ahead of the governor who secured 72,901 votes.

In his address, Ambode said APC is a great party, appealing to residents of the state to give Sanwo-Olu the needed support in the 2019 election.

He also promised to ensure a smooth transition.

Now, Nigerians have recalled and reacted to the alleged incident which happened in 2017 after Ambode's wife was accused of instigating her husband to fire Presiding Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Lagos, after purportedly being ignored during church service. 

The Chaplain, Femi Taiwo who was removed from his post allegedly on the orders of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode after it was alleged that his wife, waited endlessly as she joined a queue to be anointed without any preference accorded her; and that she left the church in anger after been anointed.

Chaplain Taiwo and his family were thrown out of the chapel without mercy within 24 hours after the incident, sparking outrage among Nigerians. 

According to some people, this has been highlighted as one of the merciless sins of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

ABUJA – THE All Progressives Congress, APC, has disbanded the Ahmed Gulak-led Committee for the party’s governorship primaries in Imo State.

National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole disclosed this to State House correspondents after meeting behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Oshiomhole said he came to brief the President on developments in the party.

He also said that the results being paraded as the result of the Imo governorship primaries was fake, adding that the party has disbanded the Committee that was sent to the state to conduct the primaries and will set up another one immediately so that the process would be completed before the end of the week.

The APC National Chairman further stated that the National Working Committee was in charge of the Lagos primaries and that every situation has been put under control.

The former Edo State Governor ruled out the possibility of honouring parallel results on the primaries from states, stressing that no matter how highly a member may be, he must subject himself to the Constitution of the party.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is just destroying residency's along Effurun/Warri/Sapele road to create drainage.

Thank God you said he was constructing drainages in effurun. Drainages that would help save the over flooding in that flood prone region. And you and I know that after the drainage comes the road, most of those buildings were without approvals, if you have approvals go for damages.
Some roads and other constructions need expansion, and you can't make omelet without breaking eggs. Fashola, Ambode, Obiano, Wike etc did demolish buildings for the construction of wider roads and drainages. If it is construction of roads, omo, Okowa too try, even in economic recession.
If you mention areas he has not performed, I will not defend him at all. Okowa na roadmaster!
