There is this friend of mine, she's still a student, she has a steady boyfriend whom she loves but is broke, but there has been this persistent toaster on her case who is financially buoyant. My friend has not had a laptop and phone for quite a while cos hers was stolen a while ago, and these things are necessary to read with in her school. Her parents said they weren't getting any gadgets for her again cos the last laptop they bought was also stolen when raiders came to the reading rooms in her school. Her parents are also against her doing business in school as they think it would disrupt her studies?p.
She told this her steady boyfriend that she needs a phone and not an expensive one, i think she asked for a techno about five months ago, but her boyfriend kept telling her he would get with no show, he didn't give her a gift on valentine even though she got him one cos he forgot and didn't have money.
A month ago, her boyfriend moved to a new apartment. She feels he should be settled first before she reminds him about the phone.

Yesterday, she called me and told me that the persistent toaster just got her a phone. She doesn't know what type but he said he noticed she didnt have a phone and she wasnt on whatsapp. He said it was a gift for her with no strings attached.
Our question is this, should she collect the phone, even though she doesnt really like the guy? If she does and her boyfriend sees it should she say she got it from another guy? Wont it lead to issues in their relationship?
Would really appreciate your wise and helpful comments? No insults please?

Please reason with this as iphone 6 on your AliExpress is 275$ which is 106k and I gat someone who bought even a UK used 16gb for 130k and it's even 166k on Jumia...Yet you said you know the drill... AliExpress might sell at that price but one out of every 1000 will buy from there..It's even negligible while 6s plus is 146k on AliExpress while UK used for osogbo is at least 180k....So tell me..AliExpress is not feasible to the average Nigeria....Test are being carried out in same conditions to get a better explanation of the event...You can't be comparing foreign price to Nigeria nah....Even the whole osogbo doesn't have a delivery outlet for Jumia...You gat to buy phone at those shops...Tell me will they sell iphone 6 for 106k...UK used is even 130k...No fight here... The first day I saw this phone specs, I complained outrightly, I don't know much about chipset, but I certainly know mt65xx is an old chipset, maybe it's 6753 indeed, but y'know Nigerian bloggers, they just copy and paste without knowing or wanting to know what......


See that one yarning thrash, why would they run a 1.3ghz on a supposed octacore, I mean who does that?

They just create phones anyhow, that phone still has an unbalanced CPU, because GPU, processor and chipset all have to complement each other to give a good performance, even the cores is important.


One would wonder why zero 2 has 8 cores, and still overheats, I mean, imagine these things, I'm fed up with em all.


I think I'll just quit infinix too......

Bro, I own an infinix phone, ih2, and believe me when I say, I'm more closer to Infinix than you think, more probably even closer than you, but, I've been condoning these things they do, and I've reached my breaking point, they can't tell me their phones aren't made for Techy freak, and only some note 3 or zero 4 is for tech guy. Aside those two phones, and this S2, tell me, since days of x507, any infinix phone that's been clocked higher than 1.3 quadcore. Don't mention zero series please.

Yet, same clock speed. What would it cost them to make it 1.5 and balance the CPU?

If I'll be spending 65k in this economy for a phone, the phone must be worth it in all ramifications, and all.
