No, you don't need to book any flight for U.S Visa application, I think hotel reservation is more important than flight (even the reservation must be done in such a way you can cancel it free of charge.)

One more thing for the flight, just do an estimate of the number of days you want to spend in U.S that's all, don't forget to include arrival and departure city

There is an elder cousin of mine in Houston I always thought was in the UK while growing up, another elder cousin in Canada linked us up one of the times I visited Houston, somebody I hadn't seen in over 30 years. So it's possible to suddenly out of the moon to now know someone in the US.

That said, your particular case won't be helped, bluntly. It smacks of desperation jumping "upandan" like this. I really hate when I read Nigerians claim not to know/have anyone in the US. Is that really possible? I'd rather say I have someone/people in the US but have no idea of where (s)he/they is/are resident than "dumbly" do otherwise....

Decision already made since 25th of July, so it doesn't matter if your leaves ends now or not what is in your passport cannot change till it gets to you.
Secondly they treat cases on merit and your departure day does not matter as they already informed you not to pay for accommodation or buy your flight while awaiting decision.
They would have expected you to defer your leave till you get a decision.

She needs letter from her office to explain the reason why her employment was backdated and that she only resumed on the day she did and was paid the entitlement for the period she was waiting for the letter due to administrative issues or internal organizational restructuring.

Oh well... I'm sure calling is not a prerequisite for them to take a decision, but I wouldn't really know if it was the call that spurred them to make the decision. Do you want to try and call as well?

Yes, I got someone in the U.K. to call on the 17th and she said the call was totally pointless. She was just told nonchalantly by a seemingly sleepy operator that a decision has not been made and that it could take up to 60days.

I was checking it up to 20times everyday o! Lol. In fact I had checked just barely 30 minutes before and it didn't recognize my GWF number, only for me to check again around 630pm and saw decision was updated on 22nd July.

All things being equal, expect yours will come in a couple of days.

I'm still waiting for TLS to update tho'.

Hello Xto4 and everyone else caught up in the decision delay. The UKVI website finally recognized my GWF number yesterday and a decision was said to have been updated on July 22nd. The TLS website hasn't been updated to reflect the decision made tho. I submitted at Ikeja on the 6th of June.

I hope y'all's decisions will trickle in this week.

I have said all documents included tax can, receipts invoices foreign receipts too. I said one man biz so u mean get a salary account for ur self hmmnn remember I said dis same system two times already with visa remember I said there was still valid visa as at when d documents is with dem for a month . I see no where I will put ur advice ooo. Except d issue of separation of account.
