meditator:Check the number of states PDP had between 2013 and 2015 compare with those it eventually lost, you'll understand this is even more dangerous for the ruling party which has become very unpopular with the masses. All the opposition need do is rally behind a widely accepted candidate, and you'll see APC losing some of these states of the defectors. As I'd always say, in case you want to argue BAT'S political sophistry or loyalty: if someone's loyalty/integrity is not at the cost of his life,he's for SALE (just at the right bargain). That's where INTERESTS, comes in, and much so for Nigerian politicians most of which are without morals or values, and are clustering under one party. How would all interests be managed? It is improbable. Summarily, they'd have to gather for there to be an implosion. Don't take my word for it, check history, and most importantly, time will tell. |
HacheNoire:"This regime in Nigeria sadly put all of its bets on tribalism, so they didn’t bother to attract real thinkers and strategists. They just flooded the corridors of power with lunatic, infantile propagandists who know next to nothing about diplomacy, strategic alignments and reparative communications. They will forever be remembered as the guys who took the skeletons of the long dead unity in Nigeria, and smashed it against the Zuma rock." #copied |

Lol. Lamentations after justice and equity dies. Which Unity did your government promote since 2023 that people are trying to undo? You can't still look in the mirror and take responsibility for once. Shame on you all. Razzness: |
Hedonisco:It's either a serious case of miseducation or mass derilium. Something untoward has been done to our minds by this APC government. From unbridled sycophancy to lack of sound judgement of issues and critical thinking. Propaganda couldn't have been this destructive, it must be something else. It's just as if the number of fools keep increasing among the citizenry, in a manner that defies logic. The supposedly educated (PhD holders), those with stellar portfolio and more. The simple context was supposed to be: STOP THE KILLING SPREE, or in simpler term, address the SECURITY CHALLENGES (by taking responsibility and doing the needful). But all I have read in the past few days have made me begin to wonder if Nigerians are being reprogrammed. |
trutharena:You'll reflect on this stage of your life in years to come and rue it. No sense of belonging, just tossed about like scalar quantities. It is not active and supposedly'repentant' terrorists your government panders to that's the problem, it is opposition. Una no normal again o. BTW! What is left of the opposition? How many states are not pro-APC in Tinubu's Nigeria? Is Wike not a card carrying member of an opposition party? Kai, this forced contraption should be dissolved. Too many low quality homosapiens. |
Jonjam269:Denial laced with hubris! We will learn geopolitics by force like we did in 2015. Since, he is a touted demigod who holds all the aces including the will of people, you shouldn't be afraid. Mind you, it's the same currency with which he has commanded loyalty (intimidation, blackmail, money), that foreign powers will also use; just that in greater measures (lol). Who no like American dollars or visa, or retain gains of corruption? Tribalism is what brought us here, neo-colonialism will cement it. We know it's all hypocrisy and politics, but it's also karma. Nigeria was not even half as divided in 2015, than it is now. No thanks to a government that couldn't connect the people or with them. |
DeLaRue:LoL. We will learn geopolitics together, be patient. You think what is happening in Tanzania now is happenstance? Ok. Why Tanzania and not Cameroon? GEJ might just still be having Nightmares of his pre-2015 experiences. Do you think it mattered that US already had boots on the ground in neighboring Ghana, in anticipation of him not conceding defeat? Or you think Jega was infallible? You'd soon realize that if your integrity is not at the cost of your own life, then you're for sale. BAT will be badly betrayed, much so as they're clustering under the 'broom'. They call it strategy (lol). My only concern is that Nigeria wouldn't be any better. They'd only just replace a rotten head with a decaying one. Another cycle of misery for a nation that has refused to learn the lessons of nationhood. He might survive the ensuing onslaught by conceding more of our sovereignty. Future generations will pick up the pieces of a depraved nation where we left off. We celebrate sycophancy instead of nation-building, strong men instead of institutions. The effect is, we become bargaining tools. If any selectively moral person thinks neo-colonialism is our bane, TRIBALISM has cost us more. We have a country but not a nation, hence anyone can exploit us. We will learn geopolitics together. |
osuofia2:As usual, the context flew over your head. This very case might determine the longevity of the regime. So much noise from one region, yet unwittingly playing into the hands of a single individual who seem to have better knowledge of the aura surrounding this administration. What would be the worst case scenario? Death penalty, life sentence or prolonged jail time? Nah, I won't help you figure things out. Whatever is happening might be preemptive or disruptive of the hidden intention to release him just before the 2027 elections, but even that cannot save Pharaoh. This is pre-2015 'conspiracy' playing out again, and you will see it in the fullness of time. Nonetheless, Nigeria wouldn't be any better with the outcomes. So much for a country with damaged justice system. |
aribisala0:LoL. Tinubu has my milked every ounce of sensibility from a supposedly sophisticated tribe. Una go hear weeen after 2031. You're even more morally bankrupt than we thought the North was. Tribalism has destroyed every vital institution since 2023. It won't be long, regions will discountenance JAMB in their admission process. NYSC has already been adjuged by the FHC not be a prerequisite for government job (in the case of Kemi Adeosun). Tinubu will destroy what's left of Nigeria. |
seunmsg:Useful idiots. You're not only supporting the travesty of truth and justice, you're unwittingly creating an ignoble path for your future generations. Guess one of the key things that could spell this level of misery for a nation (https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/07/immigration-nigerians-face-growing-visa-hurdles-in-uk-us-canada-uae-others/)? If you are overseas yet support bad governance, just know Nigeria awaits you. It's only a matter of time. |
Godfullsam:So, we should rather be stuck with Baba sopé, because APC was formed by 'non-disgruntled' heavenly creatures? If you believe PBAT is the best that could have emerged from that platform, then why the selective morality about the fidelity of another coalition? We saw what played out in 2023, which most of you cheered. Since Nigeria doesn't value decent politicking, it would take a system like this one to change a system. We will keep doing it till we get it right. All of a sudden, your moral compass has been activated. Hypocrites. |
Alexis11:There's no need bantering. It is turn-by-turn Nig. Ltd. Make sure God is not angry with you, because whether you believe it or not, Nigeria is, regardless of party affiliation. You and your kins like others, are moving targets for the arrows of bad governance just like the scenario you painted above, but unfortunately couldn't learn from. |
Ekemz:LoL. Some people will come here and celebrate. Only God knows what Nigeria will look like few years from now. We look at countries like Somalia, Yemen, and Zimbabwe and laugh, unbeknownst to many that it is the break down of democratic institutions that create failed states. For example, it was the sense of injustice that led to the jungle justice we saw in Edo few days ago. What that would mean for our "democrazy" is left to be seen. |
PandoraObi:It is good now and tomorrow (after BAT's presidency) when they use the same template to capture Lagos. Lol. We will be here. |
Congratulations to Nigerians, your constitution has just being suspended, and this will be the first of many OFFICIAL anomalies that will follow. There's no need ventilating emotions over this based on anyone's political leanings. Just make sure your kids do not grow up in this Nigeria we are gallantly creating. Strong institutions are key to nation building (investor's trust, corruption index, socioeconomic development etc). When institutions are desecrated, it is rubbles that follow. May your family enjoy the Nigeria of your dreams. Amen! |
SmartPolician:That's if his government survives the danger that might ensue from allowing a military man have such unfettered powers in a democratic setting. He may just have opened the Pandora box unwittingly. Unlike Obj, he has no real experience of the nuances of being a Military officer with power. We will see how it ends for this lawless government. |
Mrfixiit:Sycophancy and personal greed won't let them. |
Kewtt:Noise just now just now? You folks cannot even try to prove IBB wrong. What retired military generals (OBJ and PMB) could not manage, na druggie pres wey lack credibility wan do am? Like the gallant forces have cleansed up NE, SE, and NW? Lol. You foolishly took the bait, now watch how Niger delta crises railroad this administration. You think say na beans. |
Iykebest40:Atiku, Sowore, and co issued statements, but guess who's your daddy? (PO) and your nemesis (obidients)? I just want to remind you that time is fleeting, more so as a Nigerian living in Nigeria. Make sure your blinded loyalty is making you achieve something worthwhile. |
favor914:The stench of your debauchery and servitude smells so bad. You folks do not care about truth or justice, rather anything that doesn't make your cowardice look so bad. Does illegality beget legality? We in the SS are not even as invested compared to our Lagos' people, all because you've sold out your values, cultural heritage to an amoral man (the worst of your forbears). Anyone that doesn't subscribe to the kind of servitude you people are accustomed to in the SW, automatically becomes a target. Fubara will complete his 4 years, and if Rivers people feels he deserves a second, there's nothing you or the drunks in Abuja can do about it. This is Niger Delta where Lions roar. |
stuffs2002:If people are defined by the choices they make, and with how things currently are in Nigeria, would be you be classified as sensible? No liveliness, no meaningful living (if not you, people close to you), yet all that haunts you are Obidients, PO, IPOB etc. When will you people realize you're proud slaves? The same rabblings on X. Nigeria is a congregation of loquacious and undiscerning homosapiens. |
Felimax:Says a brainless human being. I understand it is very hard to "unlearn" when bigotry trumps truth. However, people who have the authority to speak to the issue has spoken, not Gen z like you. |
iamnotillicit:Yeah, the lie they sold you just like the "Igbo coup". It is a disservice to your cognitive ability actually, because even when he states empirical facts (backed by researchable evidence), your brain's default settings will translate it to "LIE". Whereas, the government that actually lie about how its policies are affecting you, go under your radar. Cognitive dissonance is a great dishonor to people who assumed your education would make you have independence of thoughts. Sadly, this is the reality ethnic jingoism breeds, and a testament to the fact that you're still not FREE. |
femi4:Yea, the only truth there is, is YOUR TRUTH. The truth (spoken by people who had direct knowledge of the events) should have unburdened you of hate. But no, you'd rather pass it down to your offsprings. |
OkCornel:"Igbo coup" the greatest lie ever created by western media and weaponized by unfortunate Nigerians to stampede the fortunes of a tribe. Even, the masterminds, motives, and machineries have turned out different. History will vindicate the just. |

Reckless in a state of lawlessness? May you not be a victim of Nigeria someday. Something is wrong with you people. |
GeneralPula:In today's Nigeria, are you relevant? Pork meat on the fork of oppressors or a sit at the table? This 'us vs them' perspectives on topical issues shows how intellectually bereft most of you have become because of cowardice. Cowardice=slavery |

Whenever issues of overt national importance comes to light, I have noticed a pattern with some people, whether those with PhD, influence or uneducated; their perception of reality is like football: Us vs them Igbos vs them Obidients vs them No sense of dignity might be left to pass on to the next generation the way they're going. They can't even judge issues soundly (or pretend to be able to), analyse its consequences (even to their lives) or even at least just form a neutral but logical opinion. If having a president from one's tribe translates to this kind of syndrome, then it is a very short walk to mental slavery for regions that cannot exist without 'power'. |
Jonathan:To what end, given Nigeria's realities? Would the students be awarded a diploma? If yes, wouldn't it be better the last 3 years be strictly vocational training so that they can have hands-on skills that could validly make University or higher education a choice? |
Heavens1stson:GEOPOLITICS Sane Nigerians: This is an issue that borders on the consequences of the collective mistake made in 2015, and whether individuals are humble enough to acknowledge their roles were influenced by external forces (given the USAIDGate). Unwittingly, the events have cost many half of their social mobility and quality of life index ten years after. Agbadorinas: Ah! God of Tinubu is working, trouble in the camp of the 'enemy'. Zero sense of accountability, zero value intelligence. Their existence and essence in Nigeria has been reduced to "Arsenal vs ManU", when we're talking about issues that have properly limited their propects as citizens and the quality of life of their forebears. Slaves, truly, do not understand freedom. |
