They're too blind to see it and naive to believe it. They think they can always have their way through illegality. Now that the issues touch constitutional provisions, we will see if the constitution will finally be unwittingly suspended by them. They fear military coup, without knowing their greed and lust for power will usher it in by default. Either way, SC judgement will usher us into a new reality as a nation, whether for good or bad. A case of having your cake and eating it.

Unfortunately the learned SAN could not prove his case in court. If you are claiming your client won election, why can you prove ur case to logical conclusion qnd convince jurist that ur client actually won.
As you aware, cases are not won based on emotion, it is won based on facts presented to the jurist.
Pls accept your failure

PoliticsRe: Tribunal Rules That Winning 25% Of Abuja Votes Isn't Compulsory by XY23: 8:25pm On Sep 06, 2023
Please. Can FCT registered voters and or indigenes of Abuja now demand to have a Governor, 3 senators and 9 HOR members now that they've been recognised as Nigeria's 37th State?. I will love to see that legal drama.

The effects of what we have seen today cannot by conceived by close-minded people like you. Without an appeal, INEC will find it difficult to conduct credible elections ever again. Governors will simply write results, and IREV can go to waste.

PS. Will INEC be able to release guidelines again when they're not as written in balck and white in the constitution? Who would believe them? What would be the basis when they can change it in the middle of the game? I just dey laff.

Grandmisty:
You read the letter of the law and not the spirit. It will be highly stupid to make FCT special status and one has to score above 25% there. It’s not done anywhere.

I have been telling obident that will be DOA.

Also all their other evidence just be like beer parlor gist and not admissible.

Seems you ppl don’t understand law. All those SANs are chopping Obis money.

Obi is only mentioning it because it’s an advantage for him.

If it was not he won’t mention it.

I am also not for either because I think both are typical politicans looking for power

Because, the jurists of the tribunal hinged their decision on Obi not proving he won.

Until he can prove to the court , he won, his main argument remains thrown out until he hires better lawyers and not his 0koro dream team.
Hmmm. But don't you think it wasn't their place to withdraw it? Couldn't it have been summarily dismissed in exercise of their powers as we have seen repeatedly? Why were APC lawyers insisting on the alternative term?

Let's not be coy. I am actually asking to know the difference between WITHDRAWN and DISMISSED as used by the PEPT in reference to LP's petition. The way they stuck with it despite APC lawyers protest, is shocking . Legal minds should help us. Nothing musa no go see for gate.

PoliticsRe: Peter Obi And LP's Case Dismissed At PEPT by XY23: 7:08pm On Sep 06, 2023
Ok sir. Can indigenes and/or residents of Abuja now demand for a governor and 3 senators and 9 HORs members now that it is Nigeria's 37th state? Lol. I expect to see this drama soon. That's is why the petitioners must not appeal this judgement. A lot of things have been unconsciously set in motion as it regards our constitution and elections.

MamaletASO:
From onset I saw that LP or Obi's case is ridiculous and laughable..

How can you petition that a winner must score 25% before he can be declared as Winner...

FCT is like the 37th State in Nigeria. It's treated like a state. If you get 25% in FCT, it will counted for you..

It's a laughable petition.. obi and his lawyers were actually clueless...

The lawyers were to be blamed..lawyers and monet are 5 & 6...
The clueless labour lawyers just wasted obi's time and gave him unnecessary hype

Actually sir, the PEPT used the word WITHDRAWN, while the APC lawyers tried to compel them to use the word DISMISSED, and they got a backlash and admonition from the judges to interpret the judgement the way they like, when they get.

I saw that altercation. Just imagine the effontery. Democracy is gone, we destroyed it with our own hands. Questions begging for answers now is, how would INEC now set guidelines for future elections? Who would believe them. I mean, what would be the basis of guidelines that are not written in black and white in the constitution? No be problem we done create so?
Duro4chang2:
APC lawyer is now up

APC: My lord, I am sure this means you have dismissed the case.

Justice Tsammani: When you get the judgement interprete it how you want

APC: I am just telling you to explain it better. Withdrawn means dismissed right. I think you should tell them dismiss

Justice Adah cuts in angrily: Are you telling us that we don’t know what we did. What’s that. When you get the judgement explain it how you want.

Justice Ugo: You are saying the 5 of us here don’t know what we are doing or what are you saying. You want to read the judgement for us.

Precedents everywhere. Omo, INEC sold Nigerians a dummy and the court has Validated it. PO better not appeal this judgement o, I want to see how the next elections would be conducted. What would then ensure the sanctity of the process when INEC can do and undo? Elections now will be bloody, we're back to the era of writing results. With what is playing out at the tribunal, it is glaring that the exercise was staged in favour of Tinubu and APC. The fact that Obi and Atiku was absent also lays credence to this. It is obvious to progressive and well meaning Nigerians that our judiciary arm of government is dead and officially another APC lap dog. The truth is that if the judges wanted to be fair, Tinubu shouldn’t have been sworn in as president in the first place. What we are witnessing on the floor of the PEPT is a well scripted verdict been read by a compromised judicial system…. It’s indeed sad and unfortunate that the judiciary which is meant to be last the hope of common man failed Nigerians….. Obi, Atiku and Nigerians will not get justice today…. Is there still hope for Nigeria?
Ehn! Since some sections of the country are happy, let us manage it like that. The consequences won't be clear today.

Tinubu and those supporting him are the real enemies of Nigeria. You can't have a country where most of its people are disillusioned. Peter Obi, through the Obidient movement was a last ditch attempt to reclaim Nigeria from criminals but desperation of the corrupt politicians didn't allow it.

Mark it today, any ruling that doesn't remove Tinubu means our constitution is dead. When you make peaceful and legitimate change impossible, you only create room for chaos and anarchy. The failure of the judiciary today, will cement the failure of Nigeria. A full state capture is in process but if they will succeed or not will depend on the extent of push back by Nigerians. Obidients are the largest movement in Nigeria today. They're everywhere both within and outside Nigeria. For those that call them Igbos, the events that will unfold in the coming days, weeks, months and even years will shock you.

The only thing that may stop Nigeria from breaking up completely is full autonomy to the constituents.
My brother please rest, it is not worth the stress. We are sounding like broken records. They won't understand it now. Everyone should just keep a low profile going forward, because justice has developed eyes. This is classic state capture.

May everyone enjoy Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: 3 Reasons Why The Tribunal Will Sack Tinubu Despite Striking Out APM Suit - Joe by XY23: 1:52pm On Sep 06, 2023
joewychampion:
1. Alleged manipulation of results, overvoting
President Bola Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission were accused of collaborating to rig the election in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC). During the tribunal, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) told the election tribunal that the commission's server logs showed manipulated election results. He accused the electoral body of bias, noting that the election was not transparent.

2. Delay in electronic transmission of results The delay in the electronic transmission of the presidential election results was a major bone of contention in the polls' aftermath.

3. Twenty-five per cent votes in FCT This is another tricky aspect of the case before the presidential election petition tribunal that could disqualify President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the administrative seat of power. The 25 per cent FCT votes have long been a tradition of the presidential election stipulated in the Nigerian Constitution of 1999 as amended.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOY73FChaPE
Story. We just heard the technicalities. The witnesses were not recognized and thus all evidence tendered by them have been declared invalid. That means, nothing was decided on the merits of the case (no drug issue, not even Inec's non-compliance). Meanwhile, the respondents that called few witnesses knew how the case would go. Wonderfully too, INEC were shielded and celebrated. I will toss my PVC in the bin forthwith.

May this Nigeria family me and my family. Lol

Votes of Igbos alone right?

If a re-run were to be conducted between Tinubu and Obi today, Obi will win only SE and lose every other region badly despite the hardships in the land.

Hard core obidients have turned everyone to enemies. They made many people especially Yorubas who voted for PO regret that decision.

I'm sure the likes of Falz and Mr Macaroni are regretting their decisions to support the obidient movement with the tribal bashings coming from the Igbos these days.

You curse and hate on a tribe that gave your son over 40% of their votes because Tinubu is from their region?

As for core Notherners- Fulani & Hausa, I am sure you already know their Anti-Igbo sentiments. They would vote for a Ghanian or Kenya as President over an Igbo man.

You guys need to learn to build alliances, relationship is key in anything man does. Trust me
You have missed it. In the south today, the SW stands alone. We warned you. You rubbed too much on the faces of other tribes whom you all tagged ibos or IPOBS. My own is that PO should not contest, because the same institutions will sabotage him. Even worse now because they won't underestimate him twice.

Also, now that BAT has played his hands too early against the north, we will see the real definition of tribal/ethnic politics. Don't forget El-rufai is baying for blood. Obidents can take relief in that. Just pray a rerun is not announced. I'm from Edo by the way.

A rerun will be declared today, Tinubu's premature exit to India couldn't look more "convenient". Expect a big shocker today guys
Lol. Many of us have always felt that would be the best all parties could agree to, for peace to reign. If your verdict is true, then as expected, there was a trade-off for BAT not to be disqualified. That means the drug issue would be squashed. There can be no rerun without the desperate BAT we all know.

PS. If it comes to that, I wonder how people that have made enemies of every other tribes would thrive. By then, bush meat would have caught the hunter.
For obedients, you'd have to choose to forgive the sins of Agbadorians or Reno (in support of AA). Obi should not contest. Same Inec, military and more entrenched corruption .
