InvertedHammer:This is correct. I have been in UAE for some years working in the tech space. Anywhere there is a large concentration of Nigeria, I don't go there. I was surprised that my friend who is also a senior engineer left his house when he notices the increased of Nigerians staying in the apartment. I would have done the same... Hello All, I am an experienced software engineer working in Dubai. I have decided to migrate to UK and want to do it via Msc route. I want to do Msc software engineering at a top university in UK and I saw one from oxford university that I am really interested in. But the program is part time for about 2 years. My questions are 1) Is it possible/likely to get student visa for part-time Msc program? 2) If yes, Must I finish the part-time program before I can convert my Tier4 visa to Tier 2 visa even If i get a job during the program? Thanks |

Hello all, I am an IT professional with 7 years experience working for a top company UAE. Due to the recent visa issue for Nigerians in UAE, I have decided to migrate to Canada. I am married with kids. I checked the CRS score and could only amass 418. I have savings of about 12 million naira. So my options 1) Travel to Canada for MSC. I will have to pay fully for this cos I don't have good grade in BSC. Also travelling will mean I will have to resign on my job of salary about N2m although most likely I will get another one. 2) Do masters distance learning online from UK or from other cheap universities so I can add to PR point but it will still be 456. The advantage of this is I still have my job in UAE and don't take much risks by jumping to unknown. But with this my CRS will still be too low. I will appreciate any response/comment on this... |

Issuance of employment visas for Nigerians passport has been suspended until further Notice Next is to go to Abu Dhabi immigration to plead. Thats the final attempt. 1 Like |

slimanyd:Its a pity. That news from UAE embassy was very wrong. Why deceiving us? The guy was on another job before but he resigned 4 months ago when he got his dream offer cos his notice period was 3 months and the new company was willing to wait. After completing his notice period, his former company was not even cancelling his visa claiming no new work visa for Nigeria We all thought they were lying trying to tie him down. He went to immigration offices for enquiries and we were told we can there is no issue. Now he is stuck mainly cos of wrong information. And the company after waiting for several months is withdrawing the offer. Once you are still with Nigeria passport, you are not immune from shit nomatter where you run to. 4 Likes |
