Search for your niche. The odd is truly stacked against you but you have to be very clear with what you want. It might not be a smooth ride but it is very possible. In my case, I knew my best bet was education but then cost. So, I must go to a Federal Institution. Almighty JAMB almost truncated that ambition before I "borrow sense". I went to polytechnic first before coming back to Unilag. I told myself from day one that I had no parent to look for a job for me. Therefore, I must finish among the very best in my class; with distinct abilities. I actually achieved that and got my job offer (banks; got many) before leaving Unilag. Then come the new face of the struggle; surviving the corporate world. I worked with 4 banks withing 7years and another FMCG. I rarely lack a job but the satisfaction was not there. Then, I had to rely on my talent again for a new beginning. I decided to travel out of the country, but how? Canada? My best choice but quite expensive. Then, I realized I could look for scholarships for my education as the shortest route to whatever location. I started the journey on September 2, 2017, when I sent over 25 emails to lecturers in Australia. It was a very demotivating and difficult process (rejection rate) before God finally gave me that lone voice from the least expected of source. I read Accounting but the person interested in me was an Environmental Scientist (UNISA)! That was when the process started having meaning. To cut the long story short, I did not win the scholarship to UNISA butttttttttttt I won 3 other scholarships - Holland, Austria/Hungary, and Qatar. I eventually settled for Austria/Hungary. On September 2, 2019 (exactly 2 years after) I stepped into my dream in style. While I can't claim to be rich as of today, I am enjoying the very best life has to offer- traveling to countries I never thought of, fantastic accommodation and access to training opportunities. In essence, concentrate on your talent and never listened to Naysayers. You will meet many of them along your path to success. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Funny as it may sound, the poster is not sincere. I have seen far worse cases than this during my period in inspection unit of a bank. The script looks good to non-initiate but you failed a significant leg (which I will not tell you). Your best bet is to refund the money and lay low for now. You just messed yourself with a low budget fraud. But then what do I know? |

Manifoldlove:I don't know much about the school. However, from the little I have from this school and other schools, you should hear from them latest by may 31. You can send mail to the admission office for update. I truly believe you should have heard from them. |

chaiks:I don't know the proper way to capture it. I was asked to pay €1k as tuition fee. Every other things, including stipend and accommodation, are covered. The programmes will run both at Budapest and Vienna. |

Funnyguy83:It depends on the department. Even within the same school, some asked while some did not. However, the best bet is to either write the test of English or get a letter from your school that your course was entirely taught in English. 1 Like |

Funnyguy83:What I did was to do extensive research on each university, especially in the area of admission requirements and funding. Those were the main criteria in deciding the choice of school and course. I did everything online but I paid an application fee. However, most of them asked for test of English. 3 Likes |

CalyMan2:People that went for the interview were speculated to resume this month. There has been several speculation about the resumption date. That was why I said only Fowler knows, and probably some few people. Nothing is going in inside the firs. The resumption may be tomorrow or later in future, only that man has the list. Even the last internal recruitment they did, he kept the list to himself but only brought few names at a time to be given offer letter. I think the man is trying to avoid scandal, whereby people will publish the list before it is officially released. PMB has warned them about secret and irregular recruitments 2 Likes |

Someone called me on this forum 2 weeks ago that some people were about to resume. That was the reason why I said nothing was going on inside firs except the letter will come from outside. Funny enough, I don't comment on any thread aside this firs, even when I have first hand information on few of them. The intention is to share and not to prove superiority. My witness on this forum can confirm it, I have never been too keen on this firs stuff. I'm contented with the little job I have. I am going to give a very comprehensive response based on my knowledge, information and cross-referencing with other credible sources: There was promotion exam in firs but it ended on the 29th of December, 2017. I heard only 60 people will be promoted. Recruitment is based on many factors: allocation to states and various grades presently occupied by each state. The recruitment has not been hijacked by NASS but firs itself (the oga at the top). Almost all the people that went for the interview were supposed to get the job but the reality on ground is “many of them would not get it”. The issue is not necessarily firs directly but allocation given to each power block. Let us be sincere with ourselves, how many people went for that interview without being nominated by someone? Please, be truthful. The person that nominated me had 15 people on the list for 3 different power block (the head of one of the military arm had 5 people from his state)! He was told to ranked us according to his preference based on reality on ground. He was eventually given 5 slots. I was covered on the slot but my state cannot accommodate my grade. So, I was given another option. So like that, many people changed their preferred candidate based on pressure and reality on ground. Many people went for interview afterward cos you know why? The number 1 guy on our list was also nominated by federal character commission. The day after, fcc called him to know whether he went for the interview. What it means is that either our link in the presidency or fcc must nominate another person. Also, firs reduced some people’s allocation. So, you see why some names will be dropped and others replaced. As a matter of fact, nothing is going on inside firs. No letter is being typed but funny enough, the recruitment is going on and very real. The offer letter would most surely come from outside the firs. After all, it only needs the oga’s signature to be official. Only Fowler and few people know about the process. The same way the interview invite came without their staff knowing. Personally, I believe you can still put pressure and get it without attending any interview. Only God knows when the recruitment will end. It is really a long walk. Some people might be given you contrary information. It may not necessarily be wrong but depend on from where they are getting the info (Politician, presidency, nass, firs, firs management, Fowler, the consultant or even public forum). For people that are hammering on n-power, it has nothing to do with whether you are employed or shortlisted. So many people were not invited for federal civil service job the same way many n-power candidates. It is just a sheer coincidence. The most important is you must ensure you resign properly before starting a new job. The emphasis is to discourage double salary, even if it is just for a day. Don't give notice in one place and go and start in another one. Remember, there is Bvn now and it is very easy to trace everything. Don't lose all just cos of peanut. 7 Likes |

@sokarsenal, what is misleading about what I wrote or different from what you just put? Where did I insinuate that it was under firs? Pls, have proper comprehension before you quote me next time. Even when the scheme is under N-Power, it is still new. Or you are saying it was part of the originally designed scheme. More so, learn to have courtesy and use of charitable words to pass your opinion across. I have not seen where I claim to know all.
