Okay please Sir give me insights.
You can ask your specific question here or send a DM. If you are sending a DM, I would prefer a call so we can spend less time.

Understood Sir, thank you!

But do you have an idea of what a competitive profile should be? Considering I'm going for Masters.
I understand I'll need to research but your input is just as valuable. And I may not get the chance to ask questions like I'm doing now.
. Sure, I do. I can offer insight into that. I studied Accounting at undergrad too.

A brother of mine graduated with a 2:2 in Bsc and 4.11 gp in Msc Engineering. What are the chances of Phd scholarship in US?
What about his research experience? Let him include research experience even if it is just internship.

Don't be discouraged. Just make your profile to be competitive. However, don't let people tell you that it is either STEM or first class. Rather, it is how best you can project your profile and fit for the school. That is where your extensive research comes in. You must comb for as many schools as possible ( I am not kidding). I have 2 siblings who fell for this STEM and First class misinformation but did not even get admission not to talk of scholarships until I format their brains. First class in Mathematics and Economics. Your SOP is the game changer. Don't get me wrong, your grade must be good but it won't just earn you admission based on that except you can bring it to perspective. SOP is what brings every aspect of your applications together. You must understand how to make sense of your transcript. They won't do it for you. The more relevant courses you can bring together to prove your case, the better.

It is not legit in the least. It is one of the fastest ways to buy trouble in the US. You are going to be paid through a stolen identity for a supposed legit work.

Well, I never looked for a job there. I know a lot of Nigerians there of course but the story is never palatable. You need to ask about their personal experience and compare it to other EU countries. It is one of the toughest places to survive. I love the country though.

Wow. But I hear the Nigerian dwarf goats in America don't smell like the ones in Nigeria.

This is very true but I dont know why. It doesn't smell or taste like a real dwarf goat from Naija.

Do all schools request for official transcript for MSc admission before admission is given? Nigerian school is requesting for 25k to send the official transcript directly to just one school in U.S
Most schools do not until you get admission.

Did you apply in the middle of a program? I want to leave a masters program in Germany to a better one in the US and I've scheduled my interview here in Germany but I don't know if that was a wise decision.

No. I applied after my program. I moved to another field entirely. There is no problem as long as you make full disclosure. The only challenge might be why you want to change from Germany to the US. Depending on the extent you have gone with your program in Germany, fashion a good answer. If it is still early in the program, you can claim that you are only attending the program in Germany pending when your offer comes out.

Thank you very much for your response.
I work in the Middle East country and I have my resident permit.
Please you mean you applied in Nigeria from a European country?
What was the experience like and how were you able to explainwhy you applied in your home country instead of the European country where you stay?
. No. I had residence permits for Austria and Hungary because of my school. There was never a question about that. However, the guy that had the interview before me traveled from another country (likely a European country) to Budapest for his interview. That was the bone of contention. The lady kept asking why he traveled to another country for the interview.
Travel / Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 17 by Yaasir(m): 4:02am On Jun 16, 2023
What is your status in the Middle East country? Visa or permit? If you have a permit that should not be a problem. I did something similar but from a European country. If you are on a visa alone, it could raise suspicion that you are simply shopping for a favorable location.
Leftrightcenter:
Visa denied(2nd attempt)
First attempt was for spring admission but a different school
COA:~30k
Scholarship:~12k
Program: MPH
School: LSUS
Deficit: to be paid by me
Location: US consulate office in one of the middle east country(where I work, same consulate as the first but not same VO. Although I saw the VO that denied before, and I even had wanted he be the one to interview me)

Please holistic advice from gurus here would be greatly appreciated.

Official rate. For school, you will need to state it while submitting your statement.

Avoid it if you can. It is easier for them to connect the dot on your brother's financial capacity since he is in the US. Look for alternative

Maybe in your field. My friend got in Finance but was not offered a dime. I wanted to apply to Sustainability in 2021 but was contacted directly to tell me that there was no funding. I was told to acknowledge that in writing before my offer could be issued. You can email your preferred dept directly.

I doubt that there's such. Because when I keep calling them about my EA, they keep telling me the decision is solely Made by th US embassy.

This stuff is really frustrating at this time. I can't even focus on what I'm doing. Weren't they not expecting this kind of surge during fall semester? It's tiring

She still carries the entitlement mentality to America. Every country has its good and bad side. The same way you cant complain of poor environment in Ajegunle. Life in Ikoyi is never the same thing in Ajegunle. She is still going to school as planned while her peers here are either battling jamb or ASUU. You are complaining of a busy counselor in the US while she had none in Nigeria. Your story would have really worth it if only you could show us that your parents came back to Nigeria because of what you just wrote. She would do everything possible to remain in that country, while discouraging others to come. Anuofia

For people like Op, you won't understand the price of sanity and peace of mind until you leave Nigeria. I will agree that travelling out is not meant for everyone and should be done on reason. However, staying back too has more risks than you just painted. You gave the impression that living in Nigeria is risk-free. People are being killed in Nigeria more than locations where they are fighting wars. I can hardly travel on Lagos - Ibadan for 2 weeks without witnessing heartwrenching accidents. Now, I can move around even at midnights without having to be looking left and right. You need not harbour any fear about your colleague. See, your sanity is worth more than millions. It is not a coincidence that they have higher life expectancy than us. Life has more meaning outside Nigeria. You can make it in Nigeria for sure but life can be brutally brutal. It is never about you alone for your environment. People have been killed for less than 1k. When was the last time you heard of ritual killings or kidnapping in those places you mentioned? I will be glad to leave Nigeria again and again

Travel / Re: Opinion:- 10 Reasons Why Nigeria Is Better Than Canada by Yaasir(m): 7:45pm On Dec 15, 2020
People can lie for whatever reason. One fact still remains clear; Life has more meaning in most of those countries. I have not been to Canada but in a comparable country in Europe. You will be convinced within yourself that life has far more meaning. His argument would have made sense if he is returning to Nigeria because of those reasons. Until then, he remains an enemy of progress

I agree with you bro,.. Very difficult, but it's actually not impossible,.. And I've come to realise that it's actually worth the shot.. wink
My reference is to the German Language preparatory course. Austria is really worth it. It is a system that works. However, they are overly strict with their visa program. If you are coming for M.Sc fine. But if the German program is not part of a postgraduate program, the chance of getting a visa for that alone is extremely low. You can actually learn your German once you get there. It is a plus if you know German before coming but it is not mandatory.
