Guys, the recruitment is going on underG. I can confirm 100% that people have started resuming. I met one of them in person (don't ask for the location) and he told me they were 3 that resumed yesterday and actually part of the August advert. This was corroborated by a staff at FIRS office Abuja. He even said that was the latest in Abuja now. |
Let's put our trust in God and hope for the best. The best bet is to maintain an open mind. Some people will still get without knowing anybody. The new advert has nothing to do with the present one and will not affect it in any way. That is what i heard from 2 different sources; the first time i heard it was even around October. Lets spread our tentacles to other areas and seek God's favour. Thank you. |
Another advert is coming out. You can reconfirm from your source. Mind you the present one is only for tax, there are other units that are not into other areas like HR, general admin etc. |
The person that said another advert is coming out may be right afterall. I dont know the reason or the basis for such except to perfect the ongoing fraud. |
There is nothing at the moment.FIRS is preoccupied with budget issue now. It will continue shortly after the budget brouhaha. Thanks. |
I don't know the number of batches that would be before next year but i know firs is treating those "lists" in certain order. Based on the information i have most people will resume 2nd week of january. That is why the reference is to their collecting salary in february. Note that the replacement is still ongoing but much more difficult now. A friend has paid for it for over 2months now (Officer 1) but yet to make any headway. Let us just keep hope alive and be positive. Nothing is won or lost yet. If God has destined it for you, you will surely get it. Nothing is on merit now in Nigeria (I believe you must have read the latest on Civil Defence recruitment). N.B: I will appreciate if people refer to me simply as Yasir; no "Mr" or "Malam" . I am just like anybody without claiming to have superior knowledge, information or connection. Let everything flow without man-made barriers.thanks |
I know of people that have got offer letter but i am not aware of those that have resumed though i have heard "rumours" severally. Recall that the recruitment is meant to be 1,250 ab initio (750 for 'leg', 500 for merit). The recruitment of the "750" people has been ongoing for long. They are meant to resume by January with other people that will be recruited on merit. Also note that replacement is an ongoing activities there. So, it is not out of place to see somebody resuming everyday but not necessarily part of the recent recruitment process. The man keeps giving me assurance that we will resume by january but collect our first salary by february based on the information/assurance given by one of the EDs |
Until otherwise, all the coming recruitments are going to be based on patronage not merit. If at all there will be merit it will be very small. Most agencies share job slots ahead in other to either get recruitment waiver, get budget approved or as a reward for supporting their appointment. This DPR and NBTE recruitment are classic examples of the anomaly. Things are far worse than they used to be before change. |
@Tosmos767, If you truly know the Oba of Lagos you will get the job;slot or no slot. Based on my experience in the north you have 95% success rate if you are nominated by a first class king anywhere even in CBN. With firs your chance is almost 100% but with a caveat "will the man personally sign your letter or take the pain of submitting the hard copy for you through his office?". This is the key ingredient for success if the king truly wants to help you. Let him know that it might not be only firs but other govt agencies. Truth be told the king has tremendous influence on the firs man. This I know for sure. |
FIRS budget will be officially approved next week barring any last minute change. The recruitment will continue this month for sure. They will invite people but not just any random or qualified people, they are the anointed candidates submitted by the "stakeholders". It is rather sad and unfortunate. |
hello my good people. sorry for getting back late;i was trying to sort some things out. Hmm!!!! the news is not good at all. The recruitment has finally been hijacked by the National Assembly. Part of the truce to approving firs budget is to accommodate the "submitted list" on the final list. Each principal officer is given 3 slots each while other members got 1 each. There is nothing "general" about recruitment. The man even lamented that something of such could happen under buhari (though his own list is not affected in any way). They will use the budget issue as cover to perpetrate the evil plan. Everybody that may likely raise highbrow has been allocated slot. It will go on as planned but not general again but for selected few. If you know any national assembly member please this is the time to disturb them. Do not be deceived that there will still be merit. It is really sad. |
tosmos767:I will give update as soon as i get it tomorrow. The contact gives us information mostly on Saturday due to his work schedule except if there is anything urgent. I will surely get across tomorrow. |
The application will be in the range of 2million applicants. Note that the requirements are somehow liberal compare to FIRS and Co. |
Bulk of the interview will be in January but the preceding activities will be in the month of December. Some will most surely resume in January. As for whether it will be interview straight or there will be aptitude test, it depends on the category in which you fall into. The 500 people that will enter through merit list may likely write exam but it has not been decided yet. For the usual politician list, it is offer letter straight; no interview or at worst stage managed one. The process will continue after private meeting between Fowler and Saraki next week Thursday. |
Guys, there is nothing on this yet; I mean no decision by the commission. The commission claimed to have a total of 1,500 openings while over 2million candidates applied. The dilemma is 'how do you call such number for test and/interview'? The commission is yet to decide on what to do as at today but most likely they will call only few people they have already decided on or nominated by politicians as usual. Merit is not part of what is on the table as at today. |
The recruitment is on hold for now. It will most likely continue by first week of December but the bulk of the interview part will take place in January. As per the number, the 500 people to be recruited on merit still stand until otherwise. |
It will happen any moment from now. Just watch out and keep positive mind. |
googlepikin:You know nothing. Come to the north you will see that it is nothing. You might not even believe it until it happens to you. |
Hello Solomoncater, Pls, i need your advice concerning my issue. I am employed in nigeria, with 6-digit salary. I desire to move my family abroad for the sake of growing up in a nice environment and job opportunity. I see NZ as a likely destination but i need to know the best option to enter the country and work. Presently, i work with FMCG but will be moving to banking by next month. Will it be easy to just write their professional examination and start looking for job or just consider schooling. At times, i feel like sending my wife their since she is not working presently and join them later when she is fully established. I have a B.Sc in Accounting with 2 professional qualifications. Kindly advise me. I want the option with better chance of success and likely time lag. |
Good job but i have some reservation. Were they all killed with poison or rat killer? All i saw were shirtless bodies without bullet wounds or other physical injuries. By the time i remembered that i saw another picture online yesterday where all the so called BH militants wore white clean shirts, my imagination is just running wild. I know we are making headways but govt should at least be more sincere rather than feed us with propaganda. if they are working we sill surely know (with or without picture) |
Any African man saying there is not witchcraft/African magic is living in self denial. People can really bewitch other, no matter the distance. Even Oyinbo people are aware of it but will play it down due to their level of civilization. Otherwise, Merlin was not written by Africans (you will see other aspects of enchantment and magic). I can give you several instances both from personal experience and other. I know of a lady in faculty of law, UI, sometimes back. If she would be coming late for exam she would boldly tell you that there wont be any exams until she came back; not once. To the amazement of everybody, she never failed to achieve that. To the religion freak, why do you pray and fast? So that the food in the house of God will last abi? If we need prayer for things to go right, then, there is possibility of another power moving it in opposite direction. There is evil power, there is science, there is coincidence, and above all there is all powerful God. Another aspect that we also ignore is the power of our tongue and evil whisper in our mind. I know of one bros who lived in self denial for so long. He would tell you that there was nothing like evil power. He is averagely ok, with a nice car but was not married. He would claim that there was nothing wrong just that he had not met the right person (even at 42yrs). It was later that some close friends 'smuggled' him to one church for deliverance (he claimed to be a xtian but never attended church). It was then everything became clear that he was bewitched by a lady he jilted way back when he entered university. His problem is that he would never see anything good in a lady once the issue of marriage is mentioned. Also, he would never be close with people that will help him. Ask that bros today he will tell you not to fall into the same trap. He got married at a tender age of 46yrs! He is regretting those years he spent in self denial. Magic/bewitchment is real!!! |
Op, If it can be confirmed that those children belong to the man, the position of the law is that they will share out of the inheritance but the mother will not partake. This is different from the old law which forbade children born out of wedlock to share inheritance. Fell free to get a lawyer. You have a valid case, though it may take very long to conclude. |
The company is fake. I just received a mail from Ngcareers with the same address (1:19pm): "Hi ?,We have got reports that a certain unnamed organisation has invited people to a scam job interview using the name of Ngcareers at 84 Trinity House, Morgan Bus stop, Pako Road, Mushin, Lagos. The interview was set for 2pm today (Thursday 23rd, 2015). If you got a text message purporting to be from Ngcareers please ignore and inform anyone you know to ignore same. While we are making attempts to get to the bottom of this and reveal the persons behind this act please inform as many people not to fall victim to the scam invitation. Ngcareers does not send invitation to people for interviews by sms. Thank You." You can compare the address and make your conclusion. |
I'm very particular and interested in his achievements within Sokoto/Kebbi/ Zamfara axis (and Funtua) because that's my primary constituency for roughly 5yrs now. Rehabilitation of Sokoto/Gusau/Funtua road is one lie from pit of hell. which portion of the road failed that they rehabilitated? Mind you, there road is still proud of 'colonial age' bridge at the moment? Sokoto/Tambuwwal/Jega road has got government attention between Shagari and Tambuwwal which is less than 40km (worst still, it was done by the state government except if they have been refunded). Jega /Kontagora road should rank as the worst road in the country based on my experience. The journey is an average of 250km yet you travel it an average of 4hrs and above depending on your type of vehicle and familiarity with the road. Op if I may ask you: Where is the rail project in Kebbi State? where are the federal roads in Kebbi/Sokoto that have been rehabilitated? Pls, I need further enlightenment to clear my doubts. |
Marketing is far more stressful than ops. People in Ops always claim there is nothing in marketing, yet many of them will never jump at the opportunity to go to marketing though they are not being promoted. Operation is beyond tellering. They tend to appear like real bankers while marketers cut the image of a beggar. Lets look at it from this angle. As an operation staff no matter how tedious the job is you close when the offices closes (even if it is 10pm) but as a marketer you start the next round of work when the office closes. You think of how to meet your target ; the mental stress is just too much. Have you ever wondered why all the banks puts emphasis on marketing/performance when it comes to promotion? You can spend 6/7years in operation without promotion! Ask many marketer if they will swap role for operations and you will see some of them taking it immediately. Ask Operations staff the same thing and see how majority will chicken out. |
Ezedon: all these online job, does it really workI can assure you most online adverts work but people don't really know how to go about it. It is even worse when you have to send CV rather than filling online form. I am a living witness of online job applications as well as many of my colleagues. There are simple rules which you have to follow strictly. |

This is the 2nd time I would change job this year; Access to StanbicIBTC to Cadbury. The first move was quite easy cos the pay was more and the grade. The present one was much more complicated. The pay is far less but I just love Cadbury. Unfortunately, Stanbic increased my salary by 50% immediately I tendered my resignation. The day I signed my offer letter with Cadbury I got another offer from Ecobank which is twice Cadbury's. All the same, I am now with Cadbury but being approached by another telecoms presently. |
Ecobank does not accept HND except you have professional or higher qualification. You may wish to confirm elsewhere. |
At times dreams are just ur sub concious mind; what we are thinking. But there are dreams that they are more of vision. For somebody like me, I always dream in the morning, something like 6am to 9am. I work in a bank for real. My Oga has virtually turned me to oracle because it's 99.9% accurate. I always feel ashamed atimes cos some people believe I'm only fetish and not dream. I dreamt my father died the day he was supposed to be discharged firm hospital. I told my mum by she waved it off. Loo and behold the man died that night. Anyway, mine has been confirmed to be beyond ordinary dreams but it can be so embarrassing when people look at you as being fetish rather than appreciate your gift. |
. I am just like anybody without claiming to have superior knowledge, information or connection. Let everything flow without man-made barriers.
