Hey Frank, please I'd like to ask how do I send my WAEC results to MUN, and also is it worth it going through an agency to apply for admission when I can just do it myself, also do I need my secondary school transcripts for the admission process
Thank

Do it yourself. I got my admission by myself to MUN. Its really easy.
Just scan your WAEC result and send to this email: admiss.docs@mun.ca (that’s ofcourse, if your result meets the admission requirements)
Also, if you’re just coming from secondary school, yes you’ll need your secondary school transcripts. Scan and send to the email also.
Note that all these will be considered as unofficial copies and the official copies will be needed before an unconditional admission can be issued to you.
All the very best.

I am trying to but I read there that it’s for people who are presently in Canada.

Yes someone in Canada has to help you order it.

Hello,

Please I would like some answers on the following questions.
I recently just got denied a Canadian study visa and I was given reasons as to why I was rejected but it still doesn’t make sense to me., the first reason was
1. That they didn’t think I’ll come back because if my ties in Canada and in Nigeria

2. They didn’t think I’ll come back based on my current employment status

And I had every document they requested. Please I would like to know what you suggest I do and how I go about this.

Thanks
Really sorry.
Have you ordered your GCMS notes?
If you haven’t, you should immediately.

Hello Mr Frankrobbn1 and everyone else. I specifically mentioned the above BC I'm new and i don't know how to post independently yet so i quoted him. I'd appreciate if everyone would give me an input bc I'm currently going gaga.

I applied first in Jan and got denied in Feb. Refusal Details being: "current employment situation and family ties in home country and in Canada"

Here's my profile:
I'm 23(24 by October) No tertiary education yet, i have an 8 year gap from end of secondary schl up till 2020.
I've been working since 2016 as an ict staff at an energy company, learning software dev. And volunteering at a local book club
SOA= 11,200usd + 13M , sponsor is mum, 2yr fees + living expenses is way less than the total of what i presented so money aint issue.
I gained adms at NBCC for a 2yr diploma in network administration for Fall 2020,
I had my sponsor write a letter too including my SOP , waec, family properties including a land Doc in my name, mum's last designation and salary increase.

I reapplied on 4th of march with all info above and added
Proof of family ties which include: Dad and mum's employment proof, my birth certificate and that of entire family, each member of family's local govt of origin cert
I also added proof of employment which include : Employment letter, confirmation letter, ID, Leave approval for duration of study from my employer and also indicated that i hv been denied bfr above.

This morning i got a BVL and from what I've been reading from y'all, BVL before medicals is likely a rejection which is my case at the moment. My mind is tricking me to think its bc of corona and no one would be reasonable to send a medical form at the moment.

Sorry for my very long post, Help a brother everyone

And pls how do i order GMCS notes

Hi
Please in this your second application, did you adequately tackle how the program you’re going for will help you get a job in your home country?
Did your LOE clearly state in details why you were going for that program and what will make you come back when you’re done studying?

Okay. Thanks.

When did you pay yours?

January. I paid using a platform called Western Union Business Solutions. You’ll go the MUN website and go to mode of payments. There, you’ll see different modes of payment and Western Union Business Solutions is part of them. Click on it and follow the instructions. It’ll redirect you to a page where you’ll be shown a slip confirming how much you’re paying and other information. Generate that slip, print it out and take it to the bank (for me, I used FirstBank). Bear in mind that I also used a dollar account to pay.
All the best

Hi guys
Just wanted to share that not all banks in Nigeria currently make use of the myBankStatement method of showing POF, which is sad. So if your bank doesn’t, then you’ll still have to use the traditional SOA paper process. Attached are the banks that currently have the myBankStatement option:

My wife went to collect her SOA from access bank for study visa purposes...She was given mybankstatement with ticket number and password (just one page).they told her that d have delivered d SOA instantly to Canadian embassy in Nigeria...she was told to upload d document (mybankstatement) as her SOA...how will these Nairobi guys confirm her SOA since it was delivered to Lagos...who else have come across this

Wow. This is good. No need to panic. The MyBankStatement platform is a new method introduced by the Canadian embassy to accurately detect amount of funds present in a person’s account at a faster rate. So this only means your wife’s application will get processed quicker than normal (God willing). But in all, it is a good thing.

Good morning guys.
Just wanted to share this here. International students who got their study permit approvals on or before 18th of March, 2020 are now exempted from the travel restrictions and can travel to Canada to begin their academic semester. As seen on the IRCC website.

Hey guys
So I got rejected and just picked up my passport today. I got to know I was refused through my account online. But I’ve not still gotten the reason why I was rejected. There’s no message on my account online and no email has been sent regarding my rejection. I was hoping the refusal reasons were going to come with my passport but to my surprise, it didn’t. I only got a small slip saying “all important information has been sent to your email” but nothing was sent. Please guys help. How can I get to know the reasons why I was refused?

It was later sent to my email after I emailed them.

Indeed! It's a great news for Aspiring Nigerian students wishing to pursue a post secondary education in Canada.

My advise is that applicants should start utilizing this new pilot program before it gets exhausted.

It will end in praises.

Please can Nigerians start applying already through this route? Or it’s just a proposal that has not been implemented yet.

Go ahead with your decisions, their is By-force on any suggestions here, more over you don't know who you are even advising!

Do you know when I’ll get the refusal email or message on my account?

The reason will be GENERIC, Nothing serious.

Order Your GCNOTES with the UCI that you have, your application Number, by then you will be sure why you was Refused, Ka ji Ko?

The GCMS note takes 40 days to be available and I need to have applied before then. So can’t bank on that right now

BVL after medical request is usually a good sign.
Even though you’ve not been able to link your account, any major updates will be sent to you via text or email. So right now just pray and wait.
Please is this your first attempt?
