Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Yads97: 6:26pm On Mar 07
Good evening house. I am a medical doctor currently doing my housemanship in Nigeria and will like to go through the Australian pathway. I previously was keen on going to the UK but it seems getting jobs after getting the GMC license has become increasingly difficult. Please how easy is it getting jobs in Australia after passing the AMC1? Is it as difficult compared to the UK at the moment?
I will really appreciate any answers/contributions to this. Thank you everyone.

Hi guys. I’ve been hearing it’s somewhat difficult to become a permanent resident in UK after study. And that even with the new 2 years PGWP introduced, students will be forced to leave the UK to their home country after the 2 years expires as it’s hard to see a company that’ll sponsor you to extend your work permit. I really just want to know how true this is. Your replies will be immensely appreciated. Thank you.

"You don't need an agent" my brother, read that again. Just ask your questions and people will answer you.

Alright thank you. It’s just that all this seems really confusing to me. I’ve been doing my research on schools but came here and saw that some schools take time to give admission, and you also need schools in a good location so you can get jobs after study. So please which good affordable schools in good locations will you guys recommend I check on? I’m going for an undergraduate program (Biomedical Science). I have a lot of questions that’s why I felt I needed someone to personally guide me. Will really appreciate your responses. Thank you.

Depends on the school. Most schools still have ongoing applications processes. Check your preferred schools for info on this.

Thank you.

No one can tell you how often UK study visa are approved.
All we can tell you will be to do your homework well, know all the necessary information about your intended UK studies, get your documents in order including your finances and admission documents. The onus is on you to prove that you're a genuine student and that you've got the finances for your studies.
If you do everything right, then you'll get your visa.

Alright thank you very much. Really appreciate.

Hi guys. I’m new here. You guys are doing a great job. Please I really need your help. Can someone help me out with affordable universities for an undergraduate program in the Uk? I’ve gone back some pages in the thread but couldn’t really get any information regarding that. I’ll really appreciate your response. Thank you.

It's not any easier. There has been serious and Alarming refusals now. But get an agent or someone with plenty of experience to guide you, you could be lucky.

Alright thank you.

Hi guys good morning. I’m new here. Please this may sound like a rookie question but I just want to know how often study permit visas are approved/refused here. I heard it’s way easier to get Irish study visa but just want to know how true that is. God bless as you respond.

Please I need to proof cos I don't believe. Somebody here once shouted approval and wen asked to show evidence, till date he hasn't replied back to get back to us to celebrate with him. Again I want to see evidence and also is it for study permit?

The person in question got refused and this is his second application. He even shared the refusal reasons gotten from the refusal letter that was sent earlier this month. Maybe if you go back a few pages, you’ll see for yourself. I doubt someone will lie about his refusal. And yes, it was for a study permit.

For those still waiting on a decision on their apps, you all need to chill and be patient. Everybody is affected even my guys that have gotten medical request and done it have been waiting since April and all are online applicants. So we all should be patient and keep safe. You can check the site for info on the status of vfs global reopening below.

Yeah I have to agree with you. And the delay isn’t affecting just Nigerians. I’m in a Pakistani and Indian forum as well and they all have been waiting also. I’m just confused as to why some people who applied last month were sorted out. But in all, we just have to be patient.

Wow 15 weeks?? There is someone here who applied online last month and got refused exactly 3 weeks later. There’s another who applied last month too and got BVL early this month. Don’t really know why you guys haven’t even gotten any update at least on your applications since applying. I sincerely pray it’s for the greater good.

Hello everyone
I will like to make an enquiry about getting a masters degree admission in any university in Canada with a 3 years Bsc with 2.1 (Masters in Finance will be preferable) that doesn’t require GMAT or GRE, also the tuition fee range between 3k to 5k.
Thank you.

Go to Ukraine.

Paper

Yeah thought as much. Most paper applications have been on hold due to the pandemic cause of closure of visa offices. But with how things are easing off, I’m positive you’ll finally get a response soon.

Hi fam,

I submitted my 2nd application since Feb 26th and since then no updates.

Somedays ago I massaged them and their reply was that the delay is as a result of covid19.

Right now am thinking of going for refund and keep waiting for them to reply my app since no one knows when this covid 19 is coming to an end and I don't want to risk such.

Just thinking though, advice pls

Was it a paper or online application?

GCMS notes after refusal mention family ties in Canada, employment ties to country of residence, last level of education as core reasons.
Great minds kindly help with relevant suggestions.

Yes. In fact the reason for denial was just generally that the VO felt I lack enough funds. It was when I got GCMS notes that I saw the main problem was that there was no evidence that the sponsor had control of the corporate account used.
If you can get a letter from your bank attesting that you are the sole signatory of your corporate account like someone else suggested I think it will cover you.

Alright great. That certainly means you’ll get your visa the next time you apply if you can satisfy this query properly. All the best.

Good Morning house . Please I need your help, I got Masters Admission offer for Fall term September 2020 but I am worried that the time left might not suffice for Visa processing, if the embassy comes with their decision after the resumption date, and let’s assume it’s not a denial, what will likely happen ?

Hi. Visa processing time now for Nigerians is 7 weeks. These VOs look at your admission letter and actually take note of the date you’ll be resuming and work to give you a decision before that date. From research, it is almost impossible for them to not have given you a decision after your resumption date has passed (provided you at least apply before the 7 weeks processing period). This only happened recently (this May) because of the COVID issue as their offices were closed so they could not really attend mostly to paper applications submitted. Provided you apply online before the 7 weeks period of processing, I don’t think you have an issue. But again the earlier you apply, the better. All the best.
