I will suggest you move the funds to your personal account based on my experience. My application was refused because of my sponsor’s use of his business account and he didn’t show evidence that he was the signatory to the business account. To avoid any stories that touch just put the money in your personal account but make sure you highlight this in your statement of purpose that the money came from your business account of which you are the sole signatory.

Please just a random question. Was this the only reason for your last refusal? And was that your first application?

Good morning people,

Please i need help!!!

I am writing my SOP for my study permit application and I wish to travel to Canada with my 2 kids below 10 years of age while my spouse stays back in Nigeria.

My question is, Am I required to apply for study permit for them being that they will be with me during the course of my studies? Please can someone with similar experience give me clues on how to go about this....

Hi Wendy. I really don’t see a reason why your kids are accompanying you to Canada for your study and I’m sure the VO will feel thesame way. It may negatively affect your application as they will feel your intentions may not really be to study and come back when you’re done. I’d advise you submit just your study permit and travel alone first. Your spouse and kids will act as strong ties to your home country and may convince the VO that you’ll be coming back home because you can’t just abandon your family. When you’re in Canada already, then you can start thinking of how they can come over. All the best.

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Hello house, I already got an admission to University of Winnipeg. This would be my first time applying to Canada. My question is, is it a good idea to wait till vfs opens before I apply for my study permit or it is advisable I apply now? I’m thinking of using the money for the application and medicals to do other important things until vfs opens, since no approval decision can be made yet due to the pandemic. The admission is for winter next year

You can start gathering all the documents you need now and apply online when you have everything required. You don’t have to do medicals now as it’s not compulsory yet until IRCC themselves ask of it later on and that will be when they’ve made a decision on your application. VFS Ghana is opening on Monday so I’m sure VFS Nigeria will open soon as well. I’ll advise you take your time and gather info on all the documents you need. When you have everything, there’s no harm applying even if VFS hasn’t opened. So when they eventually open, the only thing left will just be for you to do your biometrics and wait for a decision.
Or, you can choose to wait till VFS actually opens before putting in an application. The ball is in your court. But always remember, time is of the essence. You may think you have a lot of time but you really do not.

@kellymaria
Thanks for the question. According to my uncle he did not tell me if he requested for the GCMS note but what i know is that he appealed the cased and they rejected it again . i am about to apply for my student visa and looking for a way to go about it or i should just go with what he suggested.

I’d advise you ask your uncle the exact reasons why you were rejected. You need to know that before putting in another application. If he didn’t request for the GCMS notes before now, I’d advise you also do that as soon as possible. Please don’t be in a hurry to apply this time, your case is already quite complicated. All the very best.

Finally, Bvl/Passport Request. Fourth Application. Glory be to God. My special thanks goes to Frankrobn1, Naijaforeigner and other gurus in the house whose contributions and encouragement helped me to achieve this feat after the unfair decision I received from IRCC on my third application. This forum gave me all that i needed, no third party involvement in my recent applications..CELEBRATION MOOD

Congratulations Chalva. Delay is never denial and your strong will of persistence has turned your story around. Enjoy your celebration, you deserve it.

Hey guys.
I feel you guys should take a look at the advisory pdf document on the CIC website concerning study permit applications. Their are a few things there that may help.

Please do I need to write IELTS for visas

This is specifically for the Nigerian Student Express Pilot which hasn’t been launched yet.
So if your institution of choice doesn’t require an English test result, you do not need to write IELTS for a visa application.

First refusal reasons: Family ties and employment situation

I didn't include any proof family ties, meanwhile advisory says Family members birth cert, even if they're not accompanying you. I didn't also include any employment info, advisory stated otherwise

2nd refusal: the whole 5 generic reasons(Fam ties, employment, travel history, purpose, Finance status)

I retified the reasons for the first refusal, Only for me to include my POF which was 2-3months prior to my submission
Advisory says Up to date or at best 1month prior

Please can I get the link to the advisory you read? If it’s a pdf, please kindly sent it to this email @preciousumk39@gmail.com or direct me to where I can download it. Thank you.

Hi guys, Good evening. So I have been a silent member of this group for a couple of month’s now. I got my medical request today. I applied on the 8th of March, did my biometrics on the 13th of March and my medical request dropped today. Thank you all for the information, it really went a long way.

Congratulations to you!!!
The tradition here is that you drop your timeline and documents you submitted so others will learn.

Accept my congratulations once again.

March 7, did biometrics in March 16... got BVL yesterday 22nd April, finally got medical request 23rd March.

I’m sure he meant they got the medical request today, 23rd April and not March.
Wow this is the first time I’m seeing someone get a BVL before medical. To all the guys that got BVLs, I feel there’s still a glimmer of hope. This is the time to intensify your prayers. BVL before medical might just be the new system now.

Can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.
