A good one, Gov. Sanwo-Olu. Please ensure quality materials and the right engineers are engaged on any high rise buildings. The rate of collapse of buildings and loss of precious lives and properties in Lagos is too high. May God guide you! |
The NNPC has never been transparent, run by a cartel for a cartel. If they are up to task, we are not supposed to be having American and British companies in the mix. The system should have been indigenized completely decades ago. As it were, major earnings from our oil goes to these countries by proxy. We have been politically independent but economically still being milked. |
This is really pathetic. The solution to perennial ASUU strike are these: 1. Government hands off management of Universities and privatize them if possible even to expatriates 2. Calibrate realistic wage structure for Academic and non-academic staff, per diem, payment based on hours input per day (you go on strike at your own expense) 3. Aspirants to public offices especially president and Governors/ Ministers must have their wards in Nigerian institutions. 4. Foreign students to pay in their own local currency to study in Nigeria. With the above measures we would at least have schools though costs of studentship may soar. |
Emir01:Wow, you are a very big fool. Not worth a response at all. You like as Nigeria is today vis-a-vis the past. May your home be like Buhari's Nigeria. Nonsense. |
Wike is technically out of the PDP. This way he cannot work for Atiku even if his terms are met. His spirit is no longer in that party. It's better he is settled or expelled. APC or LP will reap Rivers state in the circumstances. |
I dont trust this government and all these white elephant projects less than nine months to handover. The debt profile of the country is outrageous. There is no magic they can conjure now. The team is as challenged as ever. We need fresh hands. Mr. VP advise your principal to desist from any capital projects of this magnitude for now. We need a fresh hand and fresh ideas. |
Tamilore11:Please, is this meant for me? What wrong did I do in my kind response ![]() I reject this entirely. Back to sender. Which rope you are referring to here? There is no rope in my comment. haba. This is strange. Read my response again: "This question is only you that can answer it better. Apply for leave from firstbank and work briefly in Orange groups to be able to compare. Is the Orange group job a permanent employment? Is the remuneration better? What is career growth like there? If you remain at Firstbank, is there any chance you could be staffed? Is the remuneration today better? What is your career plan like and which of the two jobs fits better? What is the market growth potential of both jobs? When u answer these questions convincingly, you would easily choose. Good luck." |

After this economic illiterate dealt on the economy of this country, the next president will hear it. What do you expect from a Boko Haram sympathetic government. Read again. Western Education is haram or forbidden. Locking the institutions and throwing the keys away is in fact a religious duty of the government and an achievement. A government that has no money to fund education will send luxury cars worth N1.4b to Niger, will build railway from Daura to Maradi, as though these were Nigerians immediate challenges. We have to shine our eyes and vote wisely as 2023 presents another opportunity to continue with this brazen charade or enforce change. let's be warned that the system may reach a cul de sac when government can no longer run and no body can be paid again. |
Atiku is cursing the little luck he has. He is supposed to have gone to Wike cap-in-hand. Forget status and stoop to conquer. Now, this standoff will certainly cost him the presidency. Much to the betterment of Nigeria. It's an affront for a Fulani to succeed another Fulani in a multiethnic nation state like Nigeria. It's the turn of the South. O ti wa ni awọn Tan ti awọn South |
We would sooner earn a new degree on interviewing. This long treatise boils down to: research the organization, prepare to take any question, dress well, be confident, and boom expect the job. QED |
Congratulations Mrs First lady and other recipients. It is not funny, however, that whenever we hear about gender-based violence all that comes to mind is women rights. There is no single male recipient. Are they not championing Gender based issues or it is calibrated for women? Many men are victims of domestic violence in their own homes but it is under reported or not reported at all. Courtney Clenney, the model stabbed Nigerian boy-friend, Tobi Obumselu to death, footage of him being molested by the lady two weeks to his killing was circulated. This is just one among many others. |
slawomir:Dem Wike him. No beepee position. ![]() |
This is really ominous. The kids now understand that the duo represent all the problems in Kaduna and Nigeria at large. They are the reason for too much unsolved violence and the reason mummy's soup didnt have meat again. We are getting there. The angst is real. |
babaolofin:We are not oyibos. Their country is not as messed up as ours. Read my post carefully again. I meant that with the decay we are in now these actors ought to be bent double looking for solutions instead of carrying on more responsibilities. I feel I am RIGHT. I didnt mean that being a Minister disqualified him from taking up party position as u assumed. |
Well, we need to practice and imbibe a safety culture. Handy Fire extinguishers could stop this tragedy before it scores a terrible one. But no fire extinguishers are available and no body is trained to handle them where available. It is time we think proactively and not fire-brigade response. My heart goes out to all those impacted by this fire. |
Keyamo. This new job means you arent doing anything as a Minister in the first place. A serious-minded Minister in this perilous time our country finds itself will not jostle to add spokesperson of a presidential candidate - itself a full time job. It's sad. |
Truthisunique2:The ones arrested but released nko? Repentant terrorists, my foot! The fact is that we have terrorists sympathisers and terrorist pretenders in power. |
virginprincess:Trust is earned, my dear. Nothing like not trusting. Read again. She didnt lack. The guy in question would be glad to be in the husband's financial level. She didnt inform him about the money, he didnt inform him either. That alone is a red flag. Phone ringing. Who? Friend. Pick it. Didnt. Red flag no. 2. Husband has been away for one year. I do not support that method of leaving spouse behind. She became vulnerable. Being his friend, the guy is the nearest she could cheat with without attracting attention. I am fairly certain there's ground for suspicion. |
Which presidency promised what? Terrorist sympathisers cannot effect release of anyone. If for all these months no single person was released courtesy of government effort, how do we believe this uncooked promise? It's a big shame. |
Falconets on point, doing what the men are not able to. We need to give women greater participation including in politics let's see the difference. |
BluntCrazeMan:That's RIP for sure. Proper burial. |
This are clear-cut cases that should have been filed since to obtain relief. If not filed earlier they could have been timed out. Adhering strictly to the electoral act is imperative. Impunity thrives where the good people do nothing. This is a classical example. Bala Mohammed and co violated the electoral act. But if no challenger within the stipulated time, they would coast free. |
Isa Pantami is now a professor despite the hoopla and protests. He is also a fellow of CIISec . I do not know if all these achievements are merit-worthy or smart-alec. If they are merited and if his slate is clean despite suspicions, a huge congratulations. But if otherwise may he miss road with his terrorist sympathizers, amen. |
Well, who doesnt know and doesnt know he doesnt know is a real disaster, steer clear. Buhari failed to give heed to knowledgeable persons and surrounded himself with nitwits. No serious economist of international repute was engaged. What did we expect? From blaming GEJ in 2015 up to the end of his first tenure, we do not know who to blame again now. It would seem that we engaged Buhari to blame people and not to find solution. When GEJ erred we elected Bubu to come and blame him. QED. |
Hmm. Chioma can now see how Davido used and dumped her. That comes of trying to domesticate community prick. Davido thinks it's cute to keep scattering seeds everywhere. That's the more visible achievement now that has overtaken his music. ![]() |
Everything boils down to one thing: LOVE. Not the Eros love but agape love - the one God has for us. The world would be a lot much better if we love one another and relate with each other in love. That's the meaning of following Christ. It is not about carrying bible around and preaching what we are not practicing. |
I dont like half-truths. A VP has little to no power. But Muslim-Christian balance in this dispensation ensures that there is at least a little check on religious matters. It is not as if Christians are averse to Muslim presidency. The issue is that Religious balance supposed to be in place to allay fears of Islamization which the current parochial leadership of PMB has dangerously stoked. Why did Tinubu go for South-North balance if these indices are immaterial? |
PMB has long lost credibility. If Fulanis decide to cause a menace during the election, will he fight them? No, he is highly as nepotic as they come. I dont trust the Nigerien colonial master of Nigeria. |
maynation:You are a rare gem, Maynation. I read through the entire piece. The guy is an ingrate. I have never met a lady this nice. I understand he blew his chances. If he had acted aright, I think you would have fallen for him. You gave him every opportunity to prove he is equal to your love but pig like he was - bathing is unhelpful. God bless your heart. But next time, do not take the risk abeg. |
queenbetsy:You have to learn to love that person dear. Happiness is only expressed by the living. Who is dead is neither happy nor sad. The mere fact that this guy saved your life is enough to love him. He is Christ number 2 in your life. If you think of the beauty of being alive any time u sight him, love would overflow. Quod Erat Demostrandum. |
Nazgul:If you understand the meaning of Boko haram - western education is sinful; you will know why a boko haram government will lock up schools without sympathy. |
