SmartPolician: Nigerians know how to circumvent the grey areas of every law
I think the law should be amended in a way that they must provide a running mate before official campaigns start.
This is more reasonable. I concur. Why vote for just one person at Primary, when there's joint ticket thereafter? |

Mufakirnaqdiun: The way some people was insulting this man,one would have thought he wouldn't win the primary. Now where are they? nowhere to be found, covering their face in shame, they can keep hating while he keeps aiming for the sky. Calling him all sort of name just to pet themsellf, the time they spent on hating this man could have been used in fielding their candidate but they rather hate on him for declaring his ambition.
Persistence. Perfection. Patience. Power. Prioritize your passion. It keeps you sane, hatred gives you nothing, takes nothing from you, but destroys everything you have! Be careful of ideas of hatred that comes into your head. Destroy them before they make nests in your mind! They made him more popular. |

Well, whatever the mockery, Yahaya Adoza Bello, has made his mark. He has proven that he can hold his own against experienced politicians like BAT. I believe that if he is consistent, he has a chance in the future. Age is on his side. His score card in Kogi or motivations for the presidency are not clear to me yet though. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu And Osinbajo: The True Story Of How They Met - Bayo Onanuga by Yankiss(m): 2:38pm On Jun 07, 2022 |
delpee: The question is ...Will Bayo Oriola have performed as well as Yemi Oshinbajo in those trying times we had in Lagos? I choose to believe that God made his appointment possible for a purpose which was achieved. Much of the development we see in place in the Judicial system in Lagos is due to his efforts. That was indeed the best choice for BAT and Lagos at that point in time.
Do I support his decision to contest against BAT? The truth is that we don't have an indepth knowledge of how and why he chose to do so. Sometimes, only a complete story viewed from all angles throws sufficient light into an occurrence. We can debate only on what we know. The issue is so clear. Anybody could see it in any way. It's half full and also half empty. For some schools of thought, Osinbajo as VP is next to President. The question would be, why Tinubu chose to stop him this time after grooming him as VP. |

othermen: Could have hosted the event in his hometown. Improving local businesses there, but he would squander resources globetrotting, pretending he is some extra cultural ambassador, while his subjects are in penury and under the affliction of Buhari’s presidency.
Could have gone out there to meet investors and be an ambassador of the opportunities in his state, but he’d rather compete as the most suave king. Ooni is probably looking at the pictures and searching for means to also squander wealth; what thrills them is the publicity and meaningless honor’s’.
The king could position himself to get paid to deliver lectures about the history of his people or his heritage; getting invited to Ivy League universities; getting those there to become interested in his heritage; and having them come around but to what Everything is in ruin in their kingdoms. They will sell the ancient bronze to buy a Royce.
someone thinks this is too much to ask.
The cost of doing this trip with his entourage would equip the dilapidated hospitals in his community, would sponsor the empowerment of hundreds of youth in his community, but he’d rather use the resources to no purpose.
He should be interested in the election, challenging and channeling his people to get their PVCs and vote for a viable candidate; but it’s not his business. His business is to attend carnivals and weddings, never to meet with the presidency and appeal that he be responsible to his charge- where education and security and all other sectors currently in ruin, demands resuscitation.
But is it his fault? Some of these thrones demands that you become a slave to the political class. If he attempts to better the lots of the people or channel their direction; he could even get banished
In the end, these royals can be so much impactful!!! and we pray they become so much more. Read yourself again to confirm if u made sense at all. You see nothing good in this awesome display of culture in foreign land. You see the whites salivating at the display here. They are interested in Itshekiri culture already. The king is exporting culture. It is one of the few thrones whites respect. He has visited the President. He is not an executive of the government. It's not your money he is flaunting. He is only ceremonial. See something good there first before yabbing. Thank you. |

Johfem: This is where you got it wrongly.
Were we practicing a democracy at the time?
Try and read more from the constitution the power of the office of VP. My dear, I am NOT against Osinbajo. He is MY CANDIDATE. I believe that of the whole lot, he is better placed to rewrite the Nigerian story. But he didnt assert himself under Buhari, maybe to avoid dashing it all there. Under the military, we had Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, who was another doormat. Idiagbon showed he was in charge even under Buhari. It's not about constitution or Military cum democracy. It's about strength of character. He, Osinbajo has demonstrated he could handle the mafia but has been too soft with them! That's my observation. I am entitled to that. |

He is nothing but a barawo bansa. Why didnt he go to the North to become their Premier when the West rejected him? Azikwe was nothing but a greedy man who dream of taking over his neighbour’s bride. If he had tried the nonsense with the North his head would have been paraded in Kaduna. You speak too brashly of the past leaders. If your dad is described in such scathing terms will u like it? I love your tribe. I lived among Yorubas as a student of the Unilag. Yorubas are good and frank. If we southerners try to unite like the North, they cannot be kicking us about with all our education. We will continue to play second fiddle if we don't reconcile among the tribes of the lower Niger. |

It is longer throat on the part of Zik to want to be Yorubas leader, what an insult on our race. Why didnt he go to the North to be their premier as one Nigerianist,if those one will not butcher him? As at that time, Awolowo could become Premier of Eastern Region without let or hinderance. That did not translate to leader of Igbos or other splinter tribes. The South would have been so beautiful and united if we had such interplay. |

Abdul05: Signifying that,....
Every tribe should fight for their own political right.. sin of our forefathers To be honest,
Azikiwe fvck up big time.. he should have size the gotten opportunity to install at the federal level...
Not the British at all... I believe
He was the one , Zik himself that political set up the north to be bigger the south ..as if the Southerners were forever to be slaves to the North
imagine that ...just because of hatred towards your fellow southerner... You do not decide a case with one side evidence. Are u aware that Zik was to become premier of Western region but Awolowo stood in the way? There must be incontrovertible reason for Zik's action. Unless East and West unite, the North will continue to ride roughshod. |
