The electoral act bars Wike from becoming VP having contested for the Presidential primary. Simple. You can't vie for two positions in an electoral year.

I choose to believe that God made his appointment possible for a purpose which was achieved. Much of the development we see in place in the Judicial system in Lagos is due to his efforts. That was indeed the best choice for BAT and Lagos at that point in time.

Do I support his decision to contest against BAT? The truth is that we don't have an indepth knowledge of how and why he chose to do so. Sometimes, only a complete story viewed from all angles throws sufficient light into an occurrence. We can debate only on what we know.

But he didnt assert himself under Buhari, maybe to avoid dashing it all there. Under the military, we had Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, who was another doormat. Idiagbon showed he was in charge even under Buhari. It's not about constitution or Military cum democracy. It's about strength of character. He, Osinbajo has demonstrated he could handle the mafia but has been too soft with them! That's my observation. I am entitled to that.

As at that time, Awolowo could become Premier of Eastern Region without let or hinderance. That did not translate to leader of Igbos or other splinter tribes. The South would have been so beautiful and united if we had such interplay.
