Support what? They are CRIMINALS! Government to support CRIMINALS? Were they licensed to produce arms and ammunition? Who do they sell those arms and ammunition to if not criminals like themselves. People should please think before commenting
You really don't see the irony.
A third world nation begging for foreign weapons closing down indigenous weapons producers.

They are reliable for the purpose they were built.

And then you have Nigerian security agencies importing AK-47 like a mofo.
Creating a FG funded 21st century arms fabrication, modifcation, design ,upgrade, and production plant for these gifted folks in Nnewi is clearly not in their agenda.
And yet they insult america for not selling them weapons.
Third world cesspit.

This is 21st century weapons of these nature can't compete with the calibre of weapons currently out their in the market

At best they are locally made for hunting bushmeat
It takes serious funding to create high precision weapons.
It is an indictment on your government and your country.

The weapons manufacturing industry is a trillion dollar industry.
The amount of money the US makes from exporting weapons in a year is enough to fund Nigeria budget for next five years.
The employment created via the value chain generated is not even quantifiable.
A good local weapons manufacturing industry also makes a strong and formidable nation.

Let's just assume she's a thief. But her 'thievery' ain't glaring. That of Alison-Madueke is audible to the deaf, visible to the blind, vocal to the dumb and perceivable to the anosmia.
Her thievery isn't glaring? Are you kidding me?
How did she come about her oil wells? Is she an oil expert?
If Nigeria was serious like china or the US, the first thing the govt would do is to acquire these oil wells from unscrupulous private owners who are wrecking the most damage on the economy, before going down the chain to smaller thieves like maduekwe.

When they are done with her (Alison-Madueke) in London and the EFCC start theirs, she would wanna own 'common' Toyota Corolla, but wouldn't be opportune. No room for thieves in this dispensation.
Alakija is a greater thief and a greater danger to your country.
Her oil wells corruptly acquired are enough to give every Nigerian a decent life.
But trust Nigerians to be too scared to go after the real enemies.

PoliticsRe: Is South South people Now Enemy Of Ibo? by Yanks101: 6:49pm On Oct 26, 2015
There are no enemies here. South-east is just learning to play a politics of self interest.
This time the SS are on their own. Unlike the old era of unconditional support, if they want igbo support, then they must offer something big in return, and pray some other region does not offer something bigger.
The era of babysitting the SS at our own expense is hopefully gone.

tzoracle:
When oil is finished, they have a major mineral to fall back on..what do the south have,we should have true federalism
If you actually believe this, then you really don't know why the north is poor.
Infact the north gets the largest allocation from the oil, while the south-east gets the lowest. So the north is benefiting the most from southern oil.
Even if the north begins gold export and southern oil finishes, with the current idealogical backwardness in the north, the south would always remain richer.
PoliticsRe: Yola Blast’s Dead Toll Hits 70, Poly Loses Four Students by Yanks101: 6:38pm On Oct 26, 2015
Damn. 70 gone at a go.
The united states need to wade into this issue with the seriousness it deserves.
The Nigerian govt if left alone would see everybody wiped out.
We need 100 units of predator and reaper drones roaming the north-eastern skies, taking out enemy formations before they strike.
PoliticsRe: Gold Mining And Northern Nigeria's Contribution To The Gdp by Yanks101: 6:29pm On Oct 26, 2015
But Nigeria that has undergone majority northern rule currently earns zero from gold just like other minerals in the south.
All these theories and defence mechanisms will not increase prosperity for the north. The south too has minerals that are lying completly fallow.

A landlocked Biafra is going to be just another poor landlocked African Republic.

A nation as industrious and hardworking as ndi-igbo can never be poor, unlike most african countries that are very docile and laid-back.
PoliticsRe: Igbos, Please Leave The Niger Delta Alone by Yanks101: 5:26pm On Oct 26, 2015
Afam4eva:
The owners of the oil are the minorities but the oil is being controlled by the North. The aim of aligning with the minorities will be for the oil to change ownership from the North to the Igbos or at worst for it to be shared between the Igbos and their South south brothers and sisters. Aligning with the north will not give you greater access, the best you can benefit is that they can employ you for the day to day running of their oil interests and employ your people in some oil coys. That will make you graduate to being a second class citizen but you will never be the first. The Northers own that territory.
This is naive politics and not looking out for our interests.
Whoever controls political power controls the oil and the attendants benefits and the north will always do. And one thing about the north is that they are not shy in throwing oil blocs around for their allies if it means a continuous control of the oil. And that is exactly what ndi-igbo should have benefited.
The likes of alakija, adenuga, otedola got oil blocs via being boy-boy to the north.
PoliticsRe: Igbos, Please Leave The Niger Delta Alone by Yanks101: 5:19pm On Oct 26, 2015
Most of the Southerners with oil blocs got it through parleying with highly corrupt northern strongmen.
That is exactly what ndi-igbo should have done if we were really looking out for our best interests.
PoliticsRe: Igbos, Please Leave The Niger Delta Alone by Yanks101: 5:16pm On Oct 26, 2015
Afam4eva:
Not when the minority has oil. What benefit will the Igbos gain for aligning with the northerners for instance? My guess will be to be second class citizen as opposed to third class.
But the oil is in the control of the north.
We are talking of Nigeria here not biafra or niger-delta republic.
The owners of the oil are powerful northern strongmen.
Aligning with the hausa fulani would have given ndi-igbo greater access to the oil than any association with the SS atleast under a Nigeria state.

Afam4eva:
Defender of the oppressed indeed. Oga, abeg, leave matter for Mathias. No group in Nigeria is defending anybody. Everyone is looking for their own best interest and that includes the Igbos. Enough of this self righteous attitude. the fact that we have lost in the game of thrones does not mean that we are saints.
If ndi-igbo was really looking for her best interests in Nigeria, then a serious political alliance with hausa fulani would have been the smartest move.
Supporting a minority against a majority is not acting in your best interests.
PoliticsRe: Igbos, Please Leave The Niger Delta Alone by Yanks101: 4:59pm On Oct 26, 2015
I remember making this same point some time ago. Nigeria is a dog eat dog world.
Ndi-igbo have been a sort of ''defender of the oppressed'' for too long without benefit. The people we are supposed to be defending are even anti-igbo than anything else.
The igbo is a majority group, join the fellow majority groups and get drunk on niger-delta oil since that is what they understand and appreciate.
It is time to look out for igbo interests alone.

Ebonyi is under-performing. That state is not leveraging on the huge number of igbo investors and agricultural and economic technocrats she has available in igboland.
An agricultural powerhouse like ebonyi in the 21st century should have an IGR of atleast 300billion. There is serious need for fresh agricultural products in the world today, especially in europe and china.
