zubizareta: To increase your chances, she can go alone and use you and the kid as home ties. The 8m is very much enough since school fees has been paid. It would have even been probably enough for 3 of you if you decided to go along as well. Thank you so much. 🙏 |

Penguin2: Almost all of them are Yoruba.
Even the way being touted for Minister of Petroleum is also Yoruba, a deviation from what has been where Southsouth indigenes are appointed into the ministry.
It’s obvious Tinubu is coming to run a government of the Yoruba by the Yoruba and for the Yoruba.

leopardinatree: Sorry i am failing to attach a screenshot of the required documents as mentioned on SINP website
But it talks of
1) proof of relation between you and your cousin (passport, birth cert, marriage cert etc) 2) copy of his PR, citizenship or canadian passport 3) proof of residence (utility bills from Sask power, lease/rental agreement, health card or driving licence, receipt of income for the past 3 months) 4) they may ask other documents such as if your cousin has children; their enrollment in the sask education system. And if they previously supported another applicant ; the previous supported applicants successful settlement in Sask (6 months worth of evidence documentation)
Unfortunately they say nothing about if your connection leaves the province except that the proof of residence should be for the past 3 months (creating a loophole, 3 months from date of EOI submission, ITA, or official application submission?) Now that is where the grey area is. When do the “past 3 months” begin and end?
I am not a pro but i just read the fine print for you, perhaps those with experience can shed some light on this. 🤷♀️ Please I sent you a PM. I’d love if you can respond to that. |

leopardinatree: I dont think you are at fault so long ad you can prove that he was living there at the time of application and upon receipt of NOI. Question is what is generally used as evidence of his residence in the province? As in, must you provide his house bills with his address or his driving licence as you mentioned or his health insurance card/details or his bank details? I think it will not be an issue as you clearly did not misrepresent yourself, rather life happens as they continue with the shortlisting and selection of candidates. Surely they can not expect your cousin to remain waiting for your process to complete and miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime. I think with a good lawyer you can easily win the case, should it come to that. Unless ofcourse they mention it in the SINP guidelines, go back and read the fine print. If its not mentioned continue with your application and wait for the results. Hi, i just go ITA on Thursday, but they were there till last month and have bills till last month. as of when i submitted my EOI in December they were still there. i fear it might look like misrepresentation. |

Myfavour22: 1 Yes you can, just make sure you don’t have any layover in Europe as the plane will not board you since your baby doesn’t have a schenghen visa. This happened to me personally and I was denied boarding, they had to move me to the next day, direct flight from US to Lagos without any layover. Had to find my way to Abj when I got to lag.
3 I think ours took about 2 to 3 weeks, we used the embassy in Atlanta and also used the expedited process. I think it was longer because we forgot to add a return envelope Hi, if the baby travels without their American passport, can they still get their passport in nigeria? |

DrFareedah: Hello everyone, I've been following this thread for the past five years. But i was forced to create an account just now. My husband and I landed in Halifax three months ago. With a set a twin girls. Making us a family of four.
I had a good job in nigeria, was working as a gynae with a big hospital on the island. However, i was forced to work on relocation because of very toxic inlaws. I can't explain it in words. I've got a deep story to tell. Just one of which is, after giving birth to the girls, my mother in law left the annoyance that I am maltreating her 8 days post partum. She said I didn't cook for her and all that. Bare in mind I had a caeserian session to birth the girls, I was recovering and I couldn't do much. She gossiped and said all sorts with her four girls but i was not bothered, I just decided to run far by coming to canada.
My issue now is they all insist on coming to canada to live with their brother. He's the only son and as such i think he owes them so much, I dont understand yoruba tradition deeply. But I'm here asking everyone to help because once they step into this country, our marraige is over. They tried to ruin it in lagos, but i was very patient. Pls what do I do next. I'm exhausted. I hate drama. Cant families just let young couple be. Why do they want to be in our business so much? This is bad advice but try as much as possible to make sure you are fully balanced in Canada. make sure you get your passport, upskill if you have to. in case shit hits the fan, you and your babies are secure. Id like to believe your husband doesn't put them in their place and there is a big chance he will bring them. the good thing is, that Canada recognises your right as a woman. leverage on that too. but always make sure you secure yourself first, just in case. wish you all the best. May Allah be with you. |

Debbieeeeeee: Hi everyone good evening, please is there anyone that has experienced a situation where the passport on the profile would have had less than 6 months validity by the time the interview is here due to this elongated wait time? By the time the interview is here, the passport will have five months left. Can we take this passport with five months left and a new passport to the embassy? Yes. America just needs you to have a valid visa |

Piepiehoney: Of course you can travel with your partner if you have a valid visa. As per proof of funds, it's good to carry dollars along incase you are asked. I entered US three weeks ago, at the port of entry, Atlanta to be precise, I was asked only one question, are you here on vacation? I said no, on medical, the officer just stamped my passport and that was all. Five years ago, I was asked how much I had on me? I advise you have dollars with you, it shows you have made plans to pay your bills and a credit or debit card tied to your naira account. Thank you so much . |
