Thursday, August 24, 2023 revealed how petty government could be and how low governance in Kogi State has condescended.

Senator Dino Melaye, candidate of the People's Democratic Party, and arguably, the most popular candidate in the coming gubernatorial election in Kogi State, had secured official permission from necessary agencies in Kogi State, to undertake a walk through Lokoja, and for a date with the Lokoja market women , for another turn of empowerment.
A day to the scheduled walk, the Distinguished senator received a letter, cancelling the approval already given.
Impeccable sources revealed that, there was an order not to allow Dino hold any political event in Lokoja.

Dino just smile, saying he wishes to know where the order came from.
He asked the planning committee to go ahead with their plans.

A stage and canopies were mounted inside the Lokoja International Market for the event.
Thursday morning, Dino and a long chain of mammoth crowd arrived to meet all the market gates under lock and key, leaving only a pedestal gate opened .
Dino simply asked his followers to use the pedestal gate, leaving his Public Address System Van outside the gate.

Getting to the market square, the canopies has been displace, and commercial vehicle, allegedly hired by the state, were packed to fill-up the open space marked out for the event and market women were allegedly warned never to move close to the event.
However, market women defiled the threat, they did not only come out to meet Dino, they also brought gifts for the man after their hearts. They brought fruits, vegetables, fish and other items to the man they consider as the next governor of Kogi State. The man they knew to be the only candidate that can demystify the ruthlessness of this government.
As if not enough, many of the market women closed their shop after the empowerment program, to follow Dino in his walk through Lokoja. The crowd was unprecedented and

I woke up this morning wondering how we got to this cul de sac. In 1999, @officialABAT claimed he attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos, before proceeding to Children Home School in Ibadan. According to him, his next port of call in his educational journey was Government College Ibadan and, Richard Daley College and Chicago State University in the United States. Curiously, in 2023, Tinubu settled with attending only @ChicagoState. I am scratching my head. How is that possible? Methinks that all well-meaning Nigerians should be as confused as I am with Tinubu’s declaration that he had no primary and secondary education, yet he has a university degree. You may wish to #AskTinubu how he attained this feat so that we can learn from his ingenuity 😆 -AA.

I'm a degree holder and am proud of it. I got my degree here in Nigeria. If for any reason, anyone wants to contest the veracity of my degree, or my academic records, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it, I have nothing to hide

People with international degrees from more advanced countries such as UK, Germany, USA, Canada etc, flaunt their degrees, which are generally more regarded than mine

However, when the President of the largest black populace, Bola Tinubu, is actually fighting in court that the his academic records from the prestigious Chicago State university should not be flaunted, you have to ask why

Its just that Nigeria is a backward country. In more civilised countries, the fact the President is contesting the release of his academic records would have raised serious red flags. People would ask why?

In the case of Tinubu, its not actually surprising. Tinubu claimed on his electoral form when he ran for Lagos Governorship that he attended Government College Ibadan. It has since been proved he never went there

To this day, nobody knows what Secondary School Tinubu attended nor where he got his WASSCE or equivalent that enabled him to study abroad

The fact that Tinubu lied about the the Secondary School he attended when he ran to be Governor of Lagos State would have been enough to send him to jail had Nigeria been a civilised

Unfortunately, Nigeria is far from civilised, and thats why Tinubu can become President and be fighting for his academic credentials not to be released
