Gilbert Chagoury: Mr Chagoury is a Nigerian-born businessman of Lebanese descent. He is the founder of the Chagoury Group, whose multi-billion-dollar assets span construction, manufacturing, real estate, and hotels. He has accrued an infamous track record for decades.

Mr Chagoury was convicted in 2000 of money laundering and aiding a criminal organisation. In the 1990s, he set up accounts with SG Ruegg Bank in Geneva for the Abacha family enabling them to benefit from illegal transfers of over $120 million from the Central Bank of Nigeria and secured immunity from prosecution, court documents showed.

He later paid $600,000 in fines to the court in Geneva, Switzerland, and refunded $66 million to the Nigerian government.

Because elections are concluded. But as it's due to some electoral act amendment, if a candidate or winner dies before election were concluded fresh primaries election will take place. Abai state is an example when the governorship candidate dies another fresh primaries was conducted unlike before the act was amended when candidate dies, disqualified or resign second aspirant will take over like in the Case of kogi state.

In the case of kogi state election is still ongoing, and if a candidate dies, disqualified or resign the second aspirant Shall take over.. notes.. that was before that section is amended. As it is . If a candidate dies, disqualified or resign before election are concluded. Fresh primaries election will be conducted. example is ABIA state when PDP candidate dies there was another fresh primaries election because of the amendment. Go back to history before it was amended. In1998 when OBASANJO pick ATIKU as Vice president already ATIKU won Adamawa state governorsip election, but his deputy Mr boni haruna was sworn in as governor why? Because election has been concluded in that state. don't get your self confused with English, kogi state election not concluded, while Adamawa state election was concluded
