LocalStandard1: I don't know if the post about Falana saying 25% in the FCT is not a requirement is true but if it is then someone needs to go back to school real fast and immediately.
The law says a candidate will be said to win "if they get 25 percent in two third of the States and the FCT.
"two third of 36 is equivalent to 24 states." But the FCT is mandatory cause it is not a State, it was never a State but a federal government territory. The and word is not an optional word but a mandatory additional "conjunction"(note the keyword). "Father and Mother, not Father or mother.
If the law says something most happen in all 36 States and the FCT, it simply means the FCT is mandatory, not an option. Same as 24 states and the FCT. If I say "bring me 24 apples and the green one", you do not bring 30 apples and say the extra numbers substitute the green one. You don't! This is law, it's also simple English. And English and the law doesn't bend over night to suit one person, I think.
The real question is who goes to run-off now that all the candidates have fallen short of the lawful requirements, yet all three have still met two of three requirements?

dawnomike: “In an election to the office of the President or Governor whether or not contested and in any contested election to any other elective office, the result shall be ascertained by counting the votes cast for each candidate and subjected to the provisions of sections 133, 134 and 179 of the Constitution,” the Electoral Act reads in part.
According to the 1999 Constitution, presidential candidates must not only win a single majority, whoever will be recognised as an elected president must have won a stipulated minimum in every region of the country.
The candidate that receives the highest number of votes shall be declared elected only if they also fulfil a quota of 25 percent of the total votes cast in about 24 states including the Federal Capital Territory.
Section 134, subsection 2, of the 199 Constitution states:
“A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being more than two candidates for the election-he has the highest number of votes cast at the election; and he has not less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.”
*You know, by and large... I feel we should not really be arguing somethings about this election.*
*We all know the truths of what happened and let me leave it at that... no matter who we supported*
*As progressive right thinking citizens of this nation that we all are, there are a lot of positives from this election irrespective of the irregularities*
*For the first time in history, 5 outgoing governors lost their senatorial bids*
*A pdp state like oyo state and kaduna lost all senatorial seats and majority of the federal rep seats*
*All these because some deviants called obidients have chosen to break the old wheel of 2 dorminant parties*
*Let's all put aside all these partisan old way political mantras and ways and look at the possibilities ahead of us all*
*This is not about Obi, Tinubu or Atiku, for the first time, APC is scared of losing lagos and this is not only peculiar to lagos*
*Even kaduna is a possibility!!!*
*This is victory for us in democracy and if we can keep pushing for this... It is possible to change the narratives*
*That is the message... and that's what we should celebrate, propagate and hope for*
*We dreamt of when our votes will scare them... here we are!!!*

3 Parties Call for Re-Election: INEC Chairman Should Step Aside
Politianment.net reports that the LP National Chairman, Julius Abure, PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and ADC counterpart, Ralph Nwosu, made the demand at a press conference in Abuja.
However, the party leaders claimed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) manipulated Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
And this is by failing to upload results electronically on the commission’s Results Viewing Portal (IReV) at polling units. This was the agreement INEC made.
Abure spoke on behalf of the LP, PDP, and ADC. He stated that:
“This election is not free and far from being fair,” and alleging that there are “ongoing cancellations of results from areas of strength of the opposition parties”.
On the other hand, the LP, PDP, and ADC declared a vote of no confidence on INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu.

Bishop don't worry obi won't ask for refund of his #1 billions stolen Anambra state money bribe giving to you by CAN Hunter2009: Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Reveals How Peter Obi Will Get His Mandate Back
Nigeria's Presidential Election is ongoing and there has been calls from the international community and religious bodies to ensure that the election and collation of results are devoid of irregularities and scam. One of the persons that lend his voice to this, is Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu, the General Overseer of Desmond Ministries Intentional and House of Solutions Ministries international in Europe.
Speaking to the media, the Man of God said this through his social media platforms- YouTube: Facebook; Instagram: Tiktok (Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu) that God revealed many things to him when he was praying about this particular election God has revealed a lot of things to him when he was praying about this particular election. In his words, he said, "I was praying around 12.45 am in the morning and God said that we should pray against the evil craftiness of the Senate President, Ahmed Lawal.
The Lord said that the Senate President is about to carry out an evil act concerning the presidency. The Lord said to me that everything that has been happening is a result of the Senate President and everyone must pray against the Senate President and his evil schemes. Quoting from the scripture, the Book of (Act 10 vs 34 - 35), The bible says "I perceive that God is not a respecter of persons and he that fears God and works in righteousness shall God accept". Ahmed Lawal does not fear God and he is about to carry an unusual act. He wants to cut corners of the presidency. Prayers should be made for his wicked plans to be canceled.
Bishop Desmond who is a prophet to nations added that the presidential candidate for Labour Party Peter Obi will win the presidency but that will be a court case and he foresees him being sworn in around September 2023. “We should pray against his delayed presidency. I am the first preacher that came out and said that the next President of Nigeria will be from Southerners. We should endeavor to pray. We must also know that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for PDP will not win this presidency and it is not the time for PDP to rule as president, I will tell you when PDP will come to power but not this time. NNPP will not win. It is time for a southern President and that person is Peter Obi. The question is how will he win? But I see him getting his mandate from the court"
In a nutshell, the Man of God opined that "The next President is from Southerner and we have two Southern candidates and one is APC candidate Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and other is Peter Obi of Labour Party while in North we have Atiku Abubakar though he didn't deserve it. I am a prolific prophet and I am saying the fact. Atiku Abubakar will not win and if you are a pastor campaigning for PDP you are wasting your time. If PDP will ever come to power it will be a candidate that wears a suit. The person who will deliver PDP is a corporate man, not even now. Rabiu Kwankwaso will not win; that is certain, Peter Obi will win, and we should pray for a landslide victory, not from the court. They might not give him directly but will recover his mandate in court.
Peter Obi will not be declared the winner on Wednesday but INEC will declare Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu the winner of the election which will cause lots of rioting in the country. There will be massive protests. The youth will protest telling Peter Obi to go to court. It is in the court that Peter Obi will be declared the winner by the President of Nigeria. "I saw Peter Obi giving a speech as president Not in May 29th, 2023 but around September 2023.
A northerner will never rule nigeria again. Buhari did his worst and the Lord told me that. Peter Obi will do 8 years and a Southerner will succeed him and this will cause a problem but the North will be humbled. Take this from me ." He also revealed that the Oyo state governor will struggle to retain his seat as Governor.
Bishop Desmond Osazuwa Amasihohu made several prophecies that come to pass among which is that Peter Obi will win the Imo state presidential election which came to pass. He has over the years reached out to people and has been known to be a firebrand pastor who fears nobody and calls a spade a spade. He has added value to the lives of people he encountered.
