PoliticsRe: Which Aspects Of President Tinubu’s Eight-point Agenda Have Been Achieved So Far by ycat: 12:01pm On Jan 16
At least half checked already, against all odds and sabotage.
With a little over 5 years to go, he will cement his legacy as the best president of Nigeria.

With all that time Bishop Ajayi Crowther dedicated to teaching you Yoruba language and after all these years, you’re still turning words upside down and mistaking them for the ones you left behind in equitorial guinea?

Has your kobokobo reached your eyes too, I thought you only have it in your tongue?
Unlike Lagos that you turned ragos or toro you turned tolo, ‘Agbodegba’ is far from your word below.
‘Agbodegba’ = a ‘busy body’ is what I called him.

Though I didn’t read this your post, but I understand your point.
Sorry, I still stand by my points.
san4P:
I admire your reasoning... but let me share more light on my objections to the proposed tax regime and it's implementation:...

1. There is a conflict in the gazetted tax acts versus the harmonized tax acts... if justice is to prevail... whosoever that made the alterations should be prosecuted...

2. When the president was the governor of Lagos... the concept of empowering touts "agberos" to molest and forcefully tax motorists began... and there have not been any record of how much was generated monthly or annually through this crude approach.... and what projects the funds were utilized... but we know these funds were embezzled because the touts used the monies to build their mansions... yet it continues and more states have imbibed this bad culture...

3. In December 2022... a government official under Buhari administration disclosed that over 96% of Nigerians do not have active savings in banks... which imply majority of citizens live by what they earn daily... So therefore if the present government under same political structure... can not improve the living conditions of citizens... then at least they should relieve them of extra burdens....

Although they are more points... but I believe you are intelligent... hence a word is enough for the wise...

So much for gaslighting.

You know I have a master brain and a high 3 digit IQ that none in your lineage has or will ever possess in 10 lifetimes, so all you do is propaganda on the gullible. I will continue to call you out till you become history in Yorubaland. My kind is what keeps you up at night like an alarm, so be very afraid.
hegelian:
You get brain and all you have there is Yoruba this, Igbo that, Hausa dem.. Anyone with an ounce of brain or even an average IQ won't be obsessed with tribal stupidity within the same country
PoliticsRe: How Seun Has Put Targets On His Own Back by ycat(op):
There are nuggets in your point, but the tax should go on for several reasons.

1. I trust president Tinubu has done his homework and he’s the expert we can believe in this area.
2. The current tax cancels the old one and actually puts more money back in the pocket of low income tax payers.
3. Suspension of the tax will make the naysayers say they have won and will try to stop the president from doing anything after that. It’s all in the politics you know.
4. It won’t make any difference at this point, as it’s ready to roll out.
5. The condition of 2020 is different from today, Nigeria died in 2023 and president Tinubu is rebuilding Nigeria from the ground up.

The tax must go through, if it has to be done, let it happen under the master himself.
san4P:
I like your analysis... but I still insist that the tax regime should be suspended...

Indirect taxes are still collected without accountability... also the conflict on the gazetted tax acts are yet to be resolved...

If the present government needs immediate funds.... they should generate such by recovering loots from corrupt officials... and restitute funds which they have individually stolen... You would be surprised how much would be generated through these...

To remind you of recent scenarios... in 2020 US government under President Trump restituted Abacha's loots... those restored amounts sustained the country at that critical moment...

As I prepare to be the next President... this present whole tax regime structure is faulty... it needs a holistic review... and many citizens need to be empowered... after then we will implement a healthy and realistic tax structure... RENAISSANCE

I’ve had it with them to the breaking point and would give anything just to see them go.
There are things that are bad for human, living in the same country with them is at the top of the list.
aswani:
I think this is unfortunate.

Please don't let Obidient nuisance and atrocious behaviour on social media influence your opinion of Ndigbo.

Ndigbo and Ndi Yoruba have lived together peacefully side by side for ages all over àlá Yoruba às one through more than one generation. This has been done through mutual respect.

As Nigerians, we can identify Obidients and laugh at them as they are perpetual failures whose wishes for our great country Nigeria will never see light of day.

No one can or should decide who stays or goes amongst Ndi Yoruba and Ndigbo.

We currently have some kind of madness that is about to die down soon when Peter Obi officially realises there is nothing for him in ADC.
PoliticsRe: How Seun Has Put Targets On His Own Back by ycat(op): 1:50am On Jan 06
The tax should go through because of the tax dodgers, the only thing is if they could lift it to N1 million.

The economy is the same everywhere, in fact Nigeria has one of the best economy in Africa right now.

What’s the official minimum wage? I thought it’s around N66K. I’m not too worried is I know that most people earning less than N200k from the private sector will beat it somehow, it’s the millionaires and billionaires that I hope will pay their fair shares.
san4P:
Well I like Seun... and he has a good online platform serving as a town hall meeting form...

With regards to the tax comparison... it won't be right to tax people earning less than official minimum wage.... note that N800,000 annual pay is equivalent to N66,667 per month...

For now... the tax regime should be halted... because the Nigerian economy is still bleeding...

CrimeRe: Soldier Kills Teenager For Challenging Him For Making Sexual Advances At His Sis by ycat: 1:29am On Jan 06
See Nigerians showing fake concerns when solutions are available.

A country of mad people such as Nigeria should have soldiers stationed in their home regions. There’s no patriotism and love among the people but they will pretend as if it’s all fine. There’s no way the soldier is from the same place with the boy. Why are these rabid soldiers allowed among people in the first place?

How many people need to die before every police/soldier is sent back to his home region/state?

PoliticsRe: Most Peaceful Region In Nigeria by ycat: 4:18am On Dec 22, 2025
You know it’s fake when the southeast where everyone has run away from and people are being shot on the streets like roaches is first on the list.

We might as well have northeast as the safest region. Abi why not?

Shame that they will rig even this.

ariesbull:
Here are the statistical data and a referenced table showing which region in Nigeria is most peaceful based on reported crime incidence from the Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey (CESPS) 2024 by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) — the most recent comprehensive national crime data available:

📊 Crime Incidence by Geopolitical Zone — CESPS 2024 (May 2023–April 2024)

Geopolitical Zone Estimated Total Crime Incidents (Households)

South-East (SE) ≈ 6,176,031 — lowest in Nigeria
South-West (SW) ≈ 6,900,000
South-South (SS) ≈ 7,700,000
North-East (NE) ≈ 7,900,000
North-Central (NC) ≈ 8,800,000
North-West (NW) ≈ 14,400,000 — highest in Nigeria

Sources: National Bureau of Statistics’ CESPS 2024 data reporting crime incidents by zone.

📌 Key Points from the Statistics

✅ South-East recorded the lowest number of crime incidents among all six regions — about 6.2 million cases, making it the most peaceful region in Nigeria by this metric.

✅ By contrast, the North-West recorded the highest crime incidents at around 14.4 million, indicating the least peaceful region by incidence count.

✅ These figures represent reported household crime experiences, which include incidents like robbery, theft, and other criminal acts covered by the survey.

📌 Important Notes on Interpretation

These statistics measure total crime incidents, not crime rates per capita. Because each region has different population sizes, per-capita rates can shift the ranking if adjusted for population.

Other analyses (e.g., violence fatalities per 100,000 population from NigeriaWatch) sometimes identify most peaceful states differently based on death rates rather than incident counts — for example, Gombe and Cross River report among the lowest fatalities per 100 k in some analyses.

📊 Summary

✅ Most peaceful region (by reported crime incidence): South-East geopolitical zone (≈ 6.2 million incidents) — lowest overall crime count in Nigeria.

❗ Other peace/security indices (e.g., fatalities or kidnapping numbers) may give different state-level peace rankings, but the South-East consistently shows lower crime incident totals in the latest NBS household survey.

What’s so bad about these comments?

PoliticsHow Seun Has Put Targets On His Own Back by ycat(op):
I was recently told in a group that Nairaland no longer allows post that are in support of president Tinubu on important topics especially the ones that punch holes into the opposition narratives. And that it’s still on low heat and pro Apc will be completely silenced right before the elections because the opposition are now running nairaland. Just know that quite a few people are thinking about you A LOT!

Well, Seun has become a big problem, he has helped the enemy to use nairaland to wage wars on Yoruba and has caused Yoruba to lose the information war. Yes Yoruba are docile, but people can see the role Seun played and still playing in destroying Yoruba. This is not about asking for a special treatment, it’s about a level playing field, there’s a reason why RUMBLE is still the best place to be, they understand what freedom of speech is.

Seun also has a lawsuit in his future because if he’s censoring certain posts before they hit the board, then nairaland is not a platform but a publisher with a lot of liabilities. And before they say Yoruba are dragging a fellow Yoruba and a successful one at that, people can see that we have suffered in his hand. Even if the State Dept. is helping you now, trust me, they will leave you high and dry when they’re done using you since you don’t make them money and China has almost cornered most of their interests in Nigeria except the military base.

These are previous 2 of my comments that were not allowed to post .

I wish Nigeria is on full ban list, so the people that wanted American to talk down to their country can enjoy staying put in Nigeria.

I mentioned it here on Nairaland that we will be in the new list.

They already laid the groundwork and the christian genocide narrative help cement it. It is a partial travel ban like they say it.
