TWO FAMILIES, TWO DESTINIES

Read Romans 5:18-19

18 Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

Human history has two key figures, and every human being is dynamically related to one of them. One figure is the first man, called Adam. He figured he knew better than God and wanted to live independently of God. He set the pattern for what human beings are like ever since. We want to live our way and not have God or anyone else push us around.

Then came the second significant figure: Jesus. He came to earth to undo what the first man did. He obeyed God, demonstrated that the best sort of life was possible in dependence on God. He willingly accepted God's judgement on human wrongdoing and suffered the consequences. Those who accept what he did need not suffer the consequences.

Each of us is connected by nature to Adam. But by an act of faith we can be connected to Jesus. Our destinies hinge on such connections. Think of Adam as being like a locomotive that goes off the tracks. It brings all the carriages (the rest of humanity) with it. Think of Jesus as the rescue machinery which restores the carriages to the rails and gets them going again.

As human beings we can't help but go off the rails. But we can choose to get back on them. We can't help but be born into Adam's family with all its implications. We can choose to be born again into Jesus' family, with much more attractive implications.

Blessings David

"Break my heart with what breaks yours" Brook Fraser, Hosanna

-

Jesus stood at a distance on the crest of what looked like a volcano. His piercing eyes stared me down. I saw agony in his face as spoke to me “Come up here”. Immediately I was standing next to him. I could see the entire volcano from here. A stream of people at least half a mile wide and as long as the eye could see walked along path leading into the destructive volcano. Angels with pitchforks lined both sides of the endless stream of people. They were preventing anyone from escaping and ushered the people over the crest and into the burning lake of fire. Steam rose from the flaming lake wrapped in smells of sulfur. Their bloodcurdling cries sounded more animal than human.

It sent chills up and down my spine. Jesus didn’t look at them he only kept staring at me. I looked into his agonizing eyes. He spoke to me “Come here. I want you to feel what I feel when my people perish”. Suddenly I was right in front of him and He grabbed me. He put his arm around my neck like a wrestler, and pulled me to his chest. An inrush of incredible grief filled my body, a thousand times greater then any earthly grief I had ever known. My body fell limp as I hit the ground and I began to vomit out my nose and mouth while sobbing with indescribable agony. Suddenly I was back in my room and fully awake. Jesus was still floating in my room standing next to the volcano and the lake of fire burning behind him. I could still hear the bloodcurdling cries in the background. Jesus just stared at me. Two purple curtains slowly closed the scene and then vanished.

For days, the vision bothered me. Who were those people I thought? Why did Jesus call them his people? I lost my ability to concentrate and had great difficulty on my job. Even now twenty years later that vision scares me.

This excerpt is taken from a book of many visions the Lord has given the author over the years - AUTHOR EJ OUELLETTE "MAJESTIES OF HIS KINGDOM"

"Heal my heart and make it clean

Open up my eyes to the things unseen

Show me how to love like you love me.

Break my heart for what breaks yours

Everything I have for your Kingdoms cause

As I walk from Earth into eternity'

How to Pray

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

The key to knowing how to pray the prayer that God answers is to cultivate our relationship with God. The more we know Him, the more we will be attuned to His will and desires.

An important part of prayer is our attitude. First, we should have an attitude of gratefulness. How often do you tell God how thankful you are? Instead of complaining, sulking, or grumbling, try expressing your gratitude to the Lord. Begin by thanking Him for His saving grace, His forgiveness, and His unfailing love.

Second, we should have an attitude of giving. God does not need anything that we could possibly give Him. However, the Bible makes it clear that we are to give to the Lord out of the blessings that He gives to us. The discipline of giving reminds us that all we have is from God. When you give, think about His blessings--never doubt His provision for you.

Finally, we should have an attitude of obedience. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we are making a commitment to live in obedience to God and to His Word. This is never easy. However, we have the power of Christ to strengthen and to help us overcome. Obedience means we must submit our will to God's. We bring glory and honor to the Lord when we resist temptation and obey His commandments.

Maybe it is easier for you to express your gratitude than for you to give. Or perhaps it is easier for you to obey God's Word than to tell Him thanks. Whatever the case, to pray as Jesus directed, we need to give, to be obedient, and to express our thankfulness. After all, we are children of almighty God--whose name is above all other names. He is holy, just, and attentive to our prayers.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything , present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6).

Hallowed Is His Name

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Imagine that you have been granted an audience with the king. This is the moment you've been waiting for--the chance to bring your requests before his majesty. The great doors open, and you are standing before the throne. In awe and reverence, you first address the king. It would be improper to just begin asking for your needs.

Jesus instructed His disciples, "This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name'" (Matthew 6:9).

The dictionary defines hallow as "to make or set apart as holy." God is holy. He is sovereign and omniscient. He is the King of kings, the Creator of the universe. When we place our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, He becomes our heavenly Father. As such, we have the honor and the privilege of being able to come to Him in prayer.

It is important that we know the character of God, and honor and revere Him in our prayers, actions, and thoughts. God’s character is pure, holy, flawless, loving, compassionate, righteous, just, merciful, kind, long-suffering, honest, true, dependable, faithful, and understanding.

The more we know about God, the more we grow in fellowship with Him. This carries over into our prayers. Placing Him first and foremost in our minds keeps our focus on Him instead of on our needs and desires.

However, Jesus did not intend for our prayers to become ritualistic. Nor does He tell us how to pray. But by beginning with God's name, we are reminded that we are coming before almighty God. As children of God, we have been given free access to the throne room of the King of kings. We can address the King as our Father. There is no greater honor!

O Lord God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you (Psalm 89:cool.

Who do you Think GOD is?

Luke 9: 18-20

19;They said in reply, "John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, 'One of the ancient prophets has arisen.

20:Then he said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter said in reply, "The Messiah of God."

Who do you think God is, what is your thought about God, How do you see or view God and Who is God to you?

If we come to realize and know who God is that is when we begin to have the revelation of Truth and Life living in us as Peter did. We must ask the Holy Spirit to help reveal Who God is so we can walk with Him in total obedient, righteousness, holiness, love, steadfastness, love and in Truth.

Christianity Etc*** A Most Powerful Message That Was Shared By Minister Jacqueline Richardson ** by Yefet(op): 7:31pm On Sep 21, 2010
Vincent R. Tillery

Jesus Christ is coming back for a glorious church without spot or wrinkle—a church that is on fire for Him. He said in Revelation 3:15,16 that we must be hot or cold, because if we’re lukewarm, he’ll vomit us out of His mouth. We are in the last days, and as we approach the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ it is important for us to strive to live holy lives, lives that are pure and clean in the sight of the Lord.

Ephesians 1:4 tells us that we should be holy and blameless before Him in love. This is a serious command and bears with it great responsibility; it is a command that is possible to fulfill only through Him. As much as we try to live holy lives we’ll sometimes sin. Praise God, Jesus Christ has made provision for our sin. He said in 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God hates sin but he loves the sinner. God doesn’t condone sin in any form and tells us in 1 John 2:1 “…that if we sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” When we sin and become convicted of our sins, we should always repent and ask God to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

God doesn’t want any of us to perish, but wants all of us come to repentance. Who God loves, He chastens and corrects. But we must first be willing to admit to sin in our lives if it is present. If we’re servants of sin, we live in bondage and can never truly experience freedom in Christ. Unconfessed sin will taint our relationship with God and prevent us from moving forward in the Lord. God created us in His image to worship and glorify Him, but Psalm 66:18 tells us that if we regard iniquity in our heart, the Lord will not hear us. Isaiah 59:2 says “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear you.”

God loves us, and it is His will that we be in health and prosper even as our soul prospers. Proverbs 28:13 says “He that covereth his sins will not prosper but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

God speaks to us in different ways. We must be always willing to obey the Word of the Lord. None of us knows if we’ll live to see the next minute. The most important decision we can ever make is to make Jesus Christ Lord and master of our lives. After all our struggles, after all our labor, and after the many fires and floods we’ve been through, we don’t want to stand before the Lord and have him say, “Depart from me, I don’t know you.” Matthew 7:22 says, “Many shall say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

We cannot afford to miss heaven. If you’re not born again or if you’re a Christian but not where you ought to be with the Lord, I encourage you to confess your sins to Jesus Christ today and ask Him to forgive you, to be Lord and master of your life.

God loves you and He wants you to spend eternity with Him.

SINNER’S PRAYERIf you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and would like to accept Him today, please say the following prayer.Dear God,In the name of Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I need a Savior. Forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Your Word says in Romans 10:9 and 10 that if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, I shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. I now confess Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. In Jesus’ Name, amen.

MOUNTAINS AND MOLEHILLS

Read Romans 8:32

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

If we are ever tempted to doubt whether God really cares or whether he can really accomplish what he promises, we can’t do much better than get this verse into our heads. It is a classic example of a 'greater to lesser' argument.

God did the unbelievably hard, painful thing by allowing his beloved Son Jesus to bear our guilt on himself on the cross. You couldn’t have picked a more challenging thing for him to do. What was most precious to him was sent to earth to suffer and die. And Jesus was willing to do so. This is evidence of how much God thinks of us, the lengths he is prepared to go to have us in his forever family.

Paul’s logic then follows. With all the various difficulties and threats we face can we not trust God to look after us? Having done the major thing, the truly difficult thing, can he not be trusted to do the relatively easier things? If he sent Jesus to die for me, can I not trust that he will help me live for Jesus? If he has met the overriding big need in my life, will he not also meet all my lesser needs?

All the circumstances facing us may seem overwhelming, life might even appear bleak. But handling those circumstances is a piece of cake for the God who offered his Son to be sacrificed for our sake. Whatever faces us is nothing compared to what faced God as he watched his Son die for us. He has dealt with the mountain, so we can assume he can deal with the molehills.

Blessings

A Cure for Depression

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

The writer of Psalm 42 is disheartened. Maybe he is dealing with a problem that has continued for some time. Then he hits on a truth that changes his feelings of depression into thoughts of hope. He writes,"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God" (Psalm 42:5-6 and Psalm 42:11).

Each of us will experience feelings of rejection, fear, and hurt. For the psalmist, the heart of the problem was the need for him to feel fulfilled and not oppressed, for his feelings to be improved, and for his questions to be answered.

Emotional depression can result from anger, disappointment, or discouragement. If we dwell on these feelings, then they will consume us. If we fail to look to God in the midst of our difficulty, then we will be overwhelmed and defeated.

When you are tired and discouraged, do you find yourself thirsty for God's wisdom, guidance, and protection? If so, pray: "Lord, show me Your face. Help me to understand what I need to know about this situation and how to handle it."

If we seek God, then we will find Him (Matthew 7:cool. Despair, hatred, malice, envy, and feelings of bitterness will fade. Is there something in your life that fills you with misery? Ask for God's light to come upon you and for His truth to guide you.

Prayer: Lord, help me to understand my feelings of anxiety and concern. Help me to focus on You and not on my anger, disappointment, and distress. Shine Your light on my life as I thirst for You.

Send forth your light and your truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell (Psalm 43:3).

Rapture dream by Fanie

« on: May 19, 2010, 04:08:56 PM »

Hi everyone,

I got this e-mail and thought I'd share this with everyone. It was written in Afrikaans, so I will try my best to translate into English:

"The dream started where I, my wife Melanie and daughter Mirey are on a houseboat (the type that you normally use for a holiday). We were on a winding river. The feeling is that of a nice holiday, the whole atmosphere is calm, relaxed and lazy. You cannot see far onto the shore, because there is a lot of greenery covering it. There are no other buildings or houses to be seen, only the nature.

There was about 15-20 other boats with people and their families on the river. There are people jumping from their boats into the river and swimming nearby the boats. As far as I can remember, there are no other boats behind us.The weather is pleasantly warm, mostly cloudy with blue patches here and there. The clouds are not white, but not heavy with water either. It looks like the type of clouds that could bring rain in the late afternoon. The bottom part of the clouds was as if it was forming a ceiling of some kind. I was aware of Melanie and Mirey and I hear them on the boat, although I am not talking to them.

As I am standing at the back of the boat, something cought my eye in the clouds for a split second. I looked again and did not see anything and did not make anything of it. A few seconds later something caught my eye again, this time it was closer to us. I asked Melanie if she had also seen it and she said no, but came and stood next to me. Then we see it again, it's definitely something, but Melanie and I cannot make out what it is.By now the frequency of these sightings increase all over the clouds. I notice that everyone else around us are also looking at this, pointing their fingers at the sky. I felt uncomfortable and a bit anxious over this unknown sighting. It looks like something breaking through the clouds and turning around back into the clouds, like a swallow. Its now happening all around us, on the boats and all over. People are now aware of this and standing in awe, but I could feel the growing panic. Everyone is trying to make sense of this but no one knows what it is.Its as if the frequency of this is increasing and as far as the eye can see. The longer this is going on, the lower these beings move around the clouds. Melanie and I were standing close to each other. We can see that these beings diving out of the clouds, are like glass, but have form. Their movement I can describe of that of a swallow, quickly and precise. Then I recognise these beings, they are angels. I can make out the form of the wings with flowing garments. My hart beats in my throat and I am really getting scared. The calmness that was there is being replaced with adrenalin, panic and fear. People on the boats are screaming, showing at the clouds, grabbing their loved ones. As I see this picture in front of me, I hear someone shouting from a distance : "Its the Rapture!" Then everyone realises what's going on.

A joy and a fear and finality hits me. At that moment, it felt as if the angels were given command. They are not see through anymore. While I am standing on the boat I see thousands of angels moving at a fast speed, diving down from the clouds, "picking" up people and diving back into the clouds again. I see people standing on their boats, and in a split second, they are not there anymore. I see how people get taken and some left behind. As far as the eye can see, I see white stripes breaking through the clouds, thousands were there are cities. Everything is so intense, I want to start crying. From a distance, like thunder rolling, I hear a mighty sound of a ramshorn (it sounds like the horn they blow when there is thick mist). The closer it gets, the more overpowering the sound. The sound is so loud that everyone fell down. I see how mighty clouds are rolling with thunder in them. I am ecstatic, because I see this happening, in my generation! It's too much to take in. I want to hold onto my wife and daughter, but I do not see them on the boat anymore! Then it hit me! While everything was happening, they were taken too. A fear filled me and I started crying uncontrollably. Where they raptured? Was I not saved? Is this possible? Is it too late? The questions are running through my mind.I see other people around me with their hands in the air, praying and pleading, those that are not saved. Some don't know what's going on, others cry and scream, becasue they know it's too late. Its final. Nothing more to do. My fear and helplessness cannot even be described. The pain is terrible, I'm desperate and scared. It's minutes since the rapture started. Then it happens to me, just when I was sure I was not destined to be raptured. I feel how I get snatched into the air! Then I woke.

I have never in my life had such a vivid dream and in detail.

Our Rock and Fortress

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

The prophet Isaiah wrote, “When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him” (Isaiah 59:19, NKJV). At some point, all of us have felt the weight of the enemy surrounding us.

We experience panic or stress over work deadlines, bills to be paid, or relationship conflicts. We catch ourselves focusing on what people think or say. Then we begin to suffer discouragement and even depression.

No one wants to be scorned, ridiculed, or taken for granted. Even Jesus suffered the ridicule of others. The chief priests, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, "He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God'" (Matthew 27:43).

No matter what we face or how others ridicule us, God is our rock and our fortress. He is our deliverer. We can find refuge and security in Him. Although you may not feel God's presence or help, He is near. Psalm 91:15 states,"He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him."

Do you feel that God has forgotten you? The writer of Hebrews reminds us that the Lord will not forget us, as God Himself has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you"(Hebrews 13:5).

So no matter what others say or how discouraged you may feel, remember that the Lord has the answer for your anxiety and despair. All you have to do is cry out to Him. He longs for you to seek His power. Ask Him to be the source of your strength and deliverance.

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God (Psalm 42:11).

Faith Manifested in Courage

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Where do you find your courage? The strongest courage that we can possibly experience comes from faith in God. We find courage when we trust in His power, in His character, in His promises, and in His Word. When our faith is in the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent God, what should we fear?

Courage is one of the greatest manifestations of faith. Courageous faith is confident that God cannot and will not make a mistake. Courageous faith knows that God cannot be wrong. Courageous faith is confident that God can never be defeated. Read Hebrews 11:30-40. This section of the passage lists several biblical heroes who demonstrated great courage: "who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies"(Hebrews 11:33-34).

Sometime courageous faith leads to dangerous situations. The people listed in this passage did not always conquer the enemy without any injuries. "Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground" (Hebrews 11:36-38)

Even if we experience persecution or hardships because of our faith, we know that God has the ultimate victory. As this passage highlights, God gave His people the victory over the fortified walls of Jericho. He used the least likely people, including a pagan prostitute, to bring about His plans and victories. Gideon was greatly outnumbered, yet he conquered the enemies. Barak trusted in God's plan and he vanquished the enemy. Samson accepted God's call and delivered the Israelites from the Philistines. Jephthah trusted in the power of God, and God gave him the victory. David was able to defeat Goliath because he trusted in the one true God of Israel. Samuel fought the unfaithfulness of God's children and called a nation to repentance. Prophets like Daniel, who closed the mouths of lions, trusted God and triumphed.

None of these people would have experienced victory with a weak, ineffective faith. Each of them was courageous in their faith because they knew the enormity of God's power and trusted that He would follow through on His promises. They knew that if God commanded them to act in battle, then God had a plan for victory. God’s plans may not always make sense to us, but if God is truly speaking, then we must follow in obedience. Can you imagine what Joshua must have felt walking in circles around Jericho? Or what Gideon must have felt facing a people described as :thick as locusts"(Judges 7:12). Yet they followed through with God's plan because they had courageous faith.

Only courageous faith will keep us going when we are puzzled by our circumstances, when we are suffering for our choices, and when we are going through the valley. Following God’s plan will not always be easy, but we can trust that the all-powerful God will continue to equip us and guide us and strengthen us in our battles. We must always trust in the good and holy God who will never make a mistake. We must persistently believe in the sovereign hand of God who is working our behalves. We must continuously call on Him in prayer and follow Him with all our hearts. We must remember that even in our suffering we are victorious, because our eternal dwelling place is in heaven. No matter what situations or enemies we face, we can be confident because Christ has won the greatest victory--and that is a great foundation for courageous faith.

God may not be calling you to a dangerous battle or a life-threatening situation, but eventually we will all face calls to step out of our comfort zones. At some point, if we are acting in courageous faith, we will experience ridicule and scorn. Will you continue to follow God in obedience when your social standing is threatened? Will you follow God's plan when your friends and family refuse their support? If your faith withers in the face of fear, confess this to God. Seek His help in developing a faith so firm in God that you will find powerful courage to do His work.

My Visit to Heaven

From: Maurice Sklar Ministries

On Wednesday, August 4th, 2010, at about 10:30 AM, an angel came into my bedroom, I had just awakened. He said to me, "I am sent from the Lord to bring you to heaven. You must now come with me. Take my hand." So I did. Suddenly, I was in the spirit realm. We ascended out through the ceiling of my home and shot up into the air like a rocket. As a looked down, my house rapidly became smaller and smaller, until I could only see our neighborhood, then only the city, and then the outlines of the west coast of California. Soon we were in space and I watched the earth grow smaller and smaller. Then, as I looked out ahead of us, we were moving so fast that the stars became like long streaks of light disappearing into a point in the horizon in front of us. Then, I saw a planet approaching that looked very similar to the earth. The angel spoke, "This is the planet Heaven." We descended into the atmosphere and soon I could see that we were over a huge mountain range. It was covered completely with snow for some distance to the north of us. We finally landed in a spectacular valley surrounded with high snow capped mountains on every side of us. The air was crisp and clean and I smelled a beautiful fragrance carried on the gentle breeze under a bright and pleasant sun. I looked around me and on the side of the mountain we were at the bottom of was just covered in violet, red, pink, and yellow wildflowers. It was breathtaking! Such vivid colors and clarity. The nature was so gorgeous that I nearly fell to my knees in front of the angel. But, looking at him, I realized that this was not appropriate right then. He pointed in a direction to the west of us, (I think), and said, "Let's go and see what has now been prepared." We walked for some distance. I was in awe as we approached a large lake that was fed from the snow of the mountains above by a huge waterfall. As we got closer to it, the roar of the water was deafening almost, but sounded like an orchestra and choir singing at the same time under the roar. That is as close as I can describe the sound. It was making music! As the sun hit it, it would reflect all the colors that I had ever seen like a rainbow in spraying water in the sun, but there were many more colors that I had not seen before also. I was struck in amazement. But, the angel made me turn away and continue walking. Soon I saw a large white tent "city" of sorts. It was right along a plateau at the edge of the lake overlooking the mountains. At first it didn't seem so large, but as we approached it, I realized it was very big indeed. It had twelve tent pavilions; each with a white cone that went up at least ten stories high. On top of each "cone" was a flag that the angel said was a flag for each of the twelve tribes of Israel. The angel said, "This has been prepared for those of the Bride of Messiah from the twelve tribes of Israel that are about to be released to minister in the final hour. This is part of the wedding supper that only those who are worthy may attend. These are those that loved not their lives unto death. As we entered into the tent of Benjamin, I saw many tables that were at least a hundred feet long. Each was lavishly set with gold cutlery, crystal goblets and plates that looked like they were made out of mother-of-pearl. Each table was arranged in such a way that all could see one table that was raised higher than the others in the center. In the middle of that table, there was a throne-like chair. I knew somehow that that must belong to the Lord Yeshua where He will sit. At each setting were engraved names of those invited on small gold rectangular nameplates. Some were more elaborate than others and were surrounded with gemstones and diamonds. The entire tent pavilion was shaped like a star of David with the twelve tribes surrounding a center raised table that was also at least a hundred feet long. I was allowed to see the nameplates of some that were seated at the Lord's table. Abraham, David, Moses, Elijah, and others from the Bible had their places marked there. The Apostles of the Lamb were also represented. But there were also other names that I did not recognize that were seated at that table. We cannot know about them at this time. The mighty angel with me was clothed completely in white and was too bright for me to look directly at as he stood next to me, but I could hear his voice. He cried, "Blessed are those that will be seated here. God will surely reward all of His faithful ones. They are His beloved. They are His Bride. Tell them still on earth, ALL IS NOW READY! THE LAMB IS STANDING AT THE DOOR TO APPEAR FOR HIS BELOVED, HIS BRIDE! WATCH AND PRAY THAT YOU MAY COUNTED WORTHY TO ESCAPE THE WRATH TO COME THAT IS SOON TO BE POURED OUT ON THE EARTH. Hide yourself in the secret place with your lamps burning brightly, BEHOLD, THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH!" As he was speaking, the angel of the Lord began to shine again so brightly that I hid my face and fell prostrate before Him. Soon though, I was able to rise again. He lifted me up and I could look at him again. He said, Now, I will take you to hear some of the music of heaven. Then, suddenly, we were standing outside what looked like a concert hall, but grander than any I had ever seen before. We ascended steps to the entrance that was surrounded by columns. There were others coming to the concert, both angels and people. Several bowed towards me and greeted me as I entered, but I did not recognize them. We sat in a center box seat in front of a large symphony orchestra. I was surprised to see that it seemed so similar to a concert on earth. I even recognized several of the musicians, some I just knew by revelation that they were among the great musicians of the past, and a few I recognized from my life that had died and were already here in heaven. The angel quietly spoke in my ear. This is a concert in your honor. The composer, Gustav Mahler is here in heaven. He has composed a symphony for you. Then the Lord came out on stage and conducted! As he entered, the whole audience bowed in worship and reverenced His Presence. Then, when the music started, I went into a realm of ecstasy that I cannot describe in words. But the music was like a living movie or a vision. I listened and I saw many good things that I had done to love people on earth. I saw so many things in history and in eternity that I cannot even begin to describe. The music was definitely in the style of Mahler, but without any of the torment or despair. It was humbled and amazed beyond words. It was the most beautiful music I have ever experienced. I laughed. I cried. I fell prostrate before the throne of God and worshiped. (Somehow I could do this while listening. I don't know how.) As I listened, something deep in me that was in terrible pain was healed and it didn't hurt anymore. When it finished, I begged the angel to let me stay there and never leave or have to go back to earth again. But, the angel, "It is not time yet. But, I may show you one of your mansions." Suddenly, we were out in the mountains again. I don't know, but it might have been that same location. We were on the side of a mountain. We were walking up a winding street that seemed to shimmer like those plates at the tent pavilion. It looked like marble, mother-of-pearl, gold, and glass, all at the same time. Finally, we reached a flat plateau overlooking what looked like the Swiss or Bavarian Alps. It was covered with perfectly manicured grass. We were standing in front of a golden gate that had filigree work all over it. Over the top was my name: "Maury Sklar" engraved in that same kind of stone/glass/gold on a rectangular plate. It was covered with precious stones and shimmered and glittered in the late afternoon sun. I was in awe! The two gates opened by themselves as we entered what seemed like a kind of Japanese style garden with a stream running through it. It had a winding path surrounded by the most beautiful roses, other flowers, and those kind of Japanese manicured-type trees interspersed between. There were bright colored fish that swam in the stream. We walked over an arched wooden bridge that went over the stream as we approached my mansion! There was a small forest all around the garden, and as I looked to my left while crossing that little bridge, I could see a waterfall coming from a rock formation about forty feet or so above. It fed the stream and came from the top of my mountain. The angel told me that the entire mountain was mine, along with other artists and musicians that were also living on it. We finally came to the front door, and the house was hidden somewhat within the little forest. But, now I had a clearer view once I crossed the wooden bridge and it took by breath away! It looked like a modern redwood and glass home. There were floor to ceiling windows in the front looking out upon the garden. It had a lot of angles with beveled windows that looked like they were pure crystal instead of glass. The doors were over 25 feet high and were made out of elaborately carved teak-like wood. It had a large Jewish star that was embedded half in one door and half in the other made out of that same mother-of-pearl like stone-glass. But this star just glowed brightly in its' own light. There was a large round knob, but it just opened again as we entered all by itself. When I looked in the front entrance, light just burst into the house from all sides and the ceiling itself was also crystalline alternating with large redwood like beams that went from one wall to the other. Then I entered the living room area and it was amazing! Like every dream house I had ever thought of, it had contemporary furniture, a ceiling that was two or three stories up, totally open. The entire back wall was floor to ceiling crystal glass. I had a view of what looked like a painting of Mt. Fuji in the center of a magnificent mountain lake, that was surrounded on all sides by mountains that looked like the Himalayas or something. I have never seen such a sight! I just gasped in awe. There was a large fireplace in the middle of the back wall, but somehow I could see through it anyway! On the left side in the back, there was a crystal door that opened up to a redwood type deck. There was a pool that seemed like it just disappeared into the mountain view. there was no edge to it I noticed that it was also fed from that waterfall and stream that flowed in my front yard. I then toured the magnificent bedrooms. The greatest room of all was the "music room", though. It had thick velvet carpet that was dark purple, and as I entered, it seemed to become a small recital hall or concert hall. I could tell that it would expand or contract depending on who or how many people were there. To one side, there was a vault-like door, and in it were dozens of great stringed instruments. Some had been made for me, and one place was open, where the Lord had promised me that He would make a violin for me and I could watch, after I get there to heaven! There were cases of fine bows embedded with precious jewels, and other musical treasures that I cannot mention at this time. Then, my angel that had escorted me, said, "There is another place I must take you to." I took his hand again, and we were suddenly in front of a large warehouse-looking building. We went inside and I felt like I was in the largest warehouse building I had ever seen. I could hardly see the far walls. It looked like the largest wardrobe collection ever! There were twelve long rows of robes with large shoulder pieces across the tops of them. (That's the best way I can describe it. I have never seen clothing like this. It looked like there was a bar or small wooden plank across the top of each like a small curtain rod that the robe hung from.) These robes were hung along clothing racks that stretched as far as I could see. We were suddenly up above on a catwalk type platform and I could see all of these robes. There were twelve long rows of what looked like thousands of identical robes that went as far as I could see. Then the angel said to me, "These are mantles for the final hour that is to come upon earth. This is for the end time ministry of Elijah the prophet. There will be twelve thousand from each tribe of Israel that will carry one of these mantles. Then, we walked into another smaller room of this same warehouse. There were other mantles that were hung on the walls on every side. These all looked different from each other. I knew somehow that they had been worn by great saints and ministries of the past. I was surprised to see some from the middle ages, as well as those worn by the early church apostles, and fathers. On a dais at the end of this room was three robes that were hung side by side, with the middle one up higher than the rest. On the left side was a robe that was hung under a old fashioned type scale with two bowls being balanced together. I immediately recognized that as a symbol for justice and law. The angel seemed to know what I was thinking and said, "Yes. That was the mantle that Moses wore. It is the mantle of the giving of the Torah to your people." Then I glanced over to the far right. I saw a rough looking hair skin vest that had a belt around the middle. The angel said, "That is the mantle of Elijah the Prophet. Both of these shall be worn again in the final hour, as it is written." Then, I looked in the center up at the robe that was higher than the rest. It was white. At first it looked really plain, but then as I continued to look, it became brighter and brighter until finally it was so dazzling that I could not look upon it any more. When I turned my eyes away, the angel said, "This is the robe reserved for Yeshua the Messiah when he returns to the earth with all the saints. It will be dipped in blood. The Word of God shall be seen by all!" "Do you know what you have seen?", the angel asked me. I said, "No sir. not fully. But you know." He replied, "You have seen the Hall of Mantles reserved for the final hour of judgment soon to come upon the world. Few have seen them. The angels have finished all of them. All is now ready! You must write what you have seen so that My people can know how close I am to the final hour! I AM COMING SOON!" As the angel was speaking, I suddenly realized that it was the LORD Himself who had been with me. He had taken the form of that angel. He seemed to grow and grow until I was overwhelmed and once again the light was blinding me that was coming from His face. I then fell flat on my face again and worshiped Him. For He is King of Kings and LORD of Lords! Then, the light and the glory lifted, and He appeared again in a blue and white robe. He seemed like a Man now, though I knew He was the LORD. He said to me, "Maury, I want you to see the Great Hall of the Crowns." Suddenly, we were at a large castle of some sort. It looked like Buckingham Palace, Versailles, and the Taj Mahal all at the same time. (I know that sounds strange, but that is what it looked like to me.) I was stunned at the majesty of this building. We walked in these gothic doors and we were in a huge, long foyer-like hallway that had little tables on both sides. They were covered in black velvet like material, only more plush. On top of each little table was a crown Each was different, but all of them were so beautiful that I saw them and burst into tears! Along the walls and ceiling were fine paintings and carvings kind of like are at the Vatican, only much greater. This foyer or hallway stretched out before us as far as I could see in the distance. Every ten feet or so on every side was a crown on a golden table draped in black velvet. Each one had a name under it. Some were studded with thousands of precious stones. Some were covered in diamonds, which the Lord told me represents souls. The other stones represent great acts of love and sacrifice for the Kingdom. Some had a red border around the base of the crown representing martyrdom. Some were like little tiaras of diamonds. Some were so large that they had diamonds solid going up two and three feet. All of them were like the finest works of art I had ever seen! Like a Michelangelo sculpture, or a Raphael painting, each just struck awe in me. Some of the less ornate crowns were for the shepherds - pastors of the flock that had been true and faithful, but their beauty was even more moving somehow. I wept and worshiped the Lord as we walked down a portion of that great Hall of the Crowns. Then, suddenly, I was back in my bedroom again. Hardly any time had passed. I had felt I had been in heaven for hours or even several days, but it was only a moment of our time on earth. This is the truest account I could write of what I experienced. Please understand that I am not advocating any doctrine or adding to scripture in any way. It is a vision, and as all supernatural revelation, it must be judged according to the higher authority of scripture. Nevertheless, I must be obedient and record what I saw and heard in this heavenly experience, as the Lord commanded for me to do. May the Lord continue to bless you abundantly, beloved friends!

Christianity Etc"i Am Coming!" Urgent Message From The Lord Jesus! Please Read And Share ( Conti by Yefet(op): 8:27pm On Sep 13, 2010
Words given to Sabrina:

Tuesday 7th of September,

I was already touched greatly in the morning, so I knew the Lord would speak to me in a special way.

In the afternoon, I was reading in a book where the Lord has said to a person that first the rapture would happen and then the 7 years of tribulation.

I was like, Lord how is this possible, because You told me the last year (2010) that we are already in the tribulation?

The Lord's answer: "The rapture is delayed. Trust on the hearing of My Voice. The intention was that I came for My bride just prior to the 7 years of tribulation. But My Father has decided otherwise. The rapture is delayed for a short time."

Letter from God received on Tuesday 7th September 2010:

For Susan & me: (The Lord was talking in plural form, so when He says 'You', He means you & me)

"Write it down, My daughter. You are not crazy, you hear My Voice and I have given you Susan as support. Encourage eachother in these days with My words. Let nothing distract you, you both hear My Voice. I shall use you as a mighty duo in My Hands. Much I shall reveil to you. Only listen to the hearing of My Voice and don't let yourselves be distracted by nothing. Don't worry about a thing or human. Only act out of My love, if you stay in My Word & words & believe, you are walking in My love.

Don't let nothing distract you, do everything that I tell you. I have searched & I have found, My chosen people in these last days. Please obey at the hearing of My Voice. People do not realize how late it is.

My Father longs to give the sign, all eyes are fixed on Him. Keep your eyes only fixed on Me, don't look at the left, n'or the right, look at Me, I am Jesus, your leading man to life, the only leading man to life. Trust My daughter, trust. I have prepared you for this. Don't look at the earthly circumstances. Keep your eyes only fixed on Me & let yourself be led by My Spirit. He is the one who speaks. You hear His Voice, My Words. Me & My Spirit are one, we are a team & we want to help you both in this time.

Stay close to My Spirit, He is the most precious gift you own. If you don't have My Spirit, you also cannot have Me. Me & My Spirit are one. Be also you one with Us. Yes, I speak to both of you. Trust on the hearing of My Voice. Don't doubt! I have searched & I have found, My choosen people in these last days. I am telling you, this is the last hour. This is for both of you. Be strong & courageous. Everything comes soon to an end. I love your both heart, keep setting it apart for Me. It belongs to Me. You belong to Me. This is Jesus."

Me: Concerning rapture 2010, what if the Father delayes it again?

The Lord: "So be it! My daughter. My Father has all might & power. Everything lies into the Hands of My Father. Don't worry about the day, n'or the hour. The rapture is planned for this year 2010. But the grace of My Father is big. But there comes a day and an hour. There comes a day and an hour. Do both not worry about this fact."

Later the Lord said: "Write it down My daughter. The rapture will happen before the great tribulation, this is in My Word and it stands firm. I have all time under My control. I am God, I know what I am doing."

Letter 8 Sept. 2010

Listen to the speaking of my voice. The days are getting darker. Soon all will be dark. The people need to see what is coming and hear My voice. We are getting close to the end of this age. All is growing dark. These will be hard times for those left. My love will sustain them, but it will be hard for them. All will be dark very soon.

Each day will be added upon another. The dominoes are falling—everyday will be worse than the previous. Headlines will continue to grow darker. Men’s hearts will fail them. Tribulation has begun.

Write it down. Today we are much nearer to the end than a week ago—each day we draw closer—it is coming. I am coming. Life here is closing down. The people are leaving soon. It will come. It will come fast. The end is near.

(Me) I had been asking if I am to release these words to the genl. Public/email lists:

Write it down. You have My permission to put those words out. Now is the time. Do not delay. Time is short. Lives are at stake. We are nearing the end. All is getting dark. A perverse nation is forming—the one world government.

Write it down.

Warn the people. Time is short. Darkness will prevail for a brief time in history and then I will come with My saints to destroy the enemy and all he stands for—for a time a time and a half. Anyone who wants to escape this madness needs to turn right now to ME, your Savior. There is no other way to the Father, but through Me. Don’t be deceived. There is no other way. I am the Way, the Truth, the Life.

Deceptions are running amuck. The people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. They follow deception. The devil prowls like a lion looking for who he can destroy. Choose life, not death. You have a brief time left to choose. Choose ME and find freedom…freedom to fly to safety among my loved ones to peace and love everlasting, divine love, pure love.

The people need to act now—turn before it is too late without ME. They will be lost and there will be no escape from hell. I can keep them from this destiny…destiny to destruction. My way is peace, wholeness, forgiveness, truth, love. My way is righteous. With my right hand I guide, guard, protect. I am a loving God. But to reject ME is death, eternal demise, eternal loss. There is no turning back once you have made this choice.

Don’t be deceived by the world—the world is corrupt. It is an enmity to ME. I will spit it out and all it stands for. Time is short. Choose life or death. I am life. Choose ME, choose beauty, choose love, choose well.

Letter 9 Sept. 11, 2010

Write it down My love. You are My love. You are faithful and loyal. I know all. I am with you. I will never forsake you. Your love is true. But you need to listen to what I have to say. These are My words. Write them down.

I am coming soon. All is ready for ME to come. The time is drawing near. It is closing in. We will fly away soon. All is prepared. Life here is drawing to a close. The peace on earth will be lifted and exchanged for darkness—it will be utter darkness. Souls will cry out for relief. They would not follow ME when I gave them a chance. Over and over I have tried to warn them. They refuse to listen. Their worldly pursuits were more important to them. You can’t have ME and the world both. My love will never compare to this world. Their choice is a sad choice. (I think HE means that they choose the world over HIM)

They need to run quickly to ME now, while there is time left. Soon this door will shut and all will go black. I am making my pleas through my humble servants—

I am warning through disasters—I am putting up all the signs—and yet people will still not believe. What must I do to get through to them?

They are making their choices now. I cannot help if there will be regret later—I have given them ample opportunity to choose. The choice is theirs to make. I cannot plead forever. My Kingdom is coming and I am ready—ready to assume my role as King of kings and Lord of lords over all. This is my destiny to be fulfilled.

Time is short. I will take back My Kingdom—the people have a choice to make. My promises will be fulfilled—all will come to pass as it is in My Word. My promises are being fulfilled right now—I am true to My Word. The clock is ticking. The people must get ready—the evil nation is forming, while they stand idly by.

Allow me to rescue them or be swept away in the flood of what is coming. Please church wake up! This is the final hour. Why are you so sleepy?

The people are not being warned. Read My Word. There is nothing happening that has not been foretold. I am coming soon and it will either be a great moment or the worst moment. Choose what moment you want to live in—with ME in My Kingdom or with the enemy in his eternal kingdom. The lines are being drawn. You must decide. Love or hate—My ways are simple—surrender to ME or be left behind to face destruction. I love My children—but they must choose. I gave Myself for them—I ask no less of them.

Our personal background info:

Hello. My name is Sabrina. Let me introduce myself a bit. I became a christian in 1992.

God has done a huge job in me concerning emotional recovery. It has been an intense, difficult, painful and long journey, but it has led to an intense wonderful intimate friendship with God. God has been my perfect counselor. He has treated me with His tender care, wisdom and especially a lot of patience.

God's heart's desire was and is intimacy with His children and this also became my heart's desire. I learned to hunger and thirst for everything from Him. I learned to worship Him in all my circumstances, no matter how I felt.

I learned to have a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit and I discovered that it was He who spoke to me in my mind. I created a deep respect for Him and invited Him every day in my prayers to fill and lead me completely. I did everything not to hurt Him.

One day in 2006 God started talking to me about His soon coming. The Lord has also told me that the fact I always hear His Voice, is His gift of grace for me. Later I understood that this gift would also be used in the prophetic and encouraging field for other people. But the principal of this gift was, that He would use me in this end-time to speak about His soon coming.

In April 2008 God told me it was important to spend much time with Him. This desire grew also in my heart more and more and the Lord said to me that this was also His desire and His H. Spirit’s.From then on I put a number of specific days for Him separately during the week. I filled these days with prayer, Bible reading, reading books, listening to good Bible study’s on the internet, worship, etc , but it also happened that the H. Spirit urged me to go to evangelize to someone.

Heaven is too real for me, time too short and the exhortations of the Lord too strong for something else to do.

On January 6 2010, I had a prophetic rapture dream. Though I was engaged much in these matters, I had not received many rapture dreams. This was my second. The Lord explained that His Coming will be sudden, with great power, followed by immediate panic and chaos.

On May 25 2010, God gave me an important dream of the bride. The explanation was this: "It is important for my Bride to prepare herself. Behold, I come quickly and then there will be no more time to make up. My Bride must prepare now. Be ready! I am ready. "God spoke in a serious tone!

On July 9 2010, God gave me an encouraging word. Here is an excerpt from the letter: ‘My dear daughter, write it down. Know that everything here is as good as ready. There is nothing stopping Me to come for My bride. Everything is ready. The table for the eternal marriage stands ready. The angels are on post. Everyone is rejoiced & enthusiast! Oh what a joy it will be when I come for My bride! I want you to encourage each other with these words. It is only the grace of My Father who holds the sound of the trumpet. Millions of people are still lost.‘

In all those years, I have received many confirmations whenever the Holy Spirit talked to me, through the bible, books or other people's testimony/preaching/teaching's. My only goal is to be completely obdient to Him. My days are completely for Him, as I don't go to work. I keep praying for everyone I witness too, take daily communion, just spent all my time for & with the Lord. Thank you for taking the time to read all this, so you know my walk with Him is serious. May the Lord bless you all!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am very serious about these warnings from the LORD and these testimonies so I wanted to include the following Bible verses that talk about those who speak falsely for the LORD—this is to let you know that we take this very seriously and we understand the gravity of these messages. We know how the LORD feels about people who speak on HIS behalf falsely and I wanted to point out that these messages are not contrived or made up and attributed to GOD falsely. These are very serious messages from the LORD and not to be taken lightly—so here are the verses that we have read and we confirm that we understand and know them well:

Matthew 7:15-20: A Tree and Its Fruit 15"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Matthew 24:24: 24For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. 25See, I have told you ahead of time.

1 John 4:1-3: Test the Spirits

1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

Jeremiah 14-16: 14 Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. 15 Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. 16 And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.

Jeremiah 23:16: 16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.

Faith in Our Choices

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Life is a series of choices. We can choose wisely or unwisely as we are confronted with decisions, temptations, and priorities. Sometimes we will make the wrong decision, but hopefully we will learn from our mistakes in order to make better choices in the future. We learn which choices lead to eternal blessings and which lead to short-term happiness. We learn which choices lead to spiritual success and which lead to failure. While some decisions are minor, others have eternal consequences. We must learn how to choose wisely because many decisions will determine the quality of our lives. Poor choices lead to a life of misery, while wise choices lead to peace and contentment. God wants us to make life decisions based on what will have eternal benefits, what will bring Him glory, and what will expand our faith.

One of the greatest choices we make is to obey Christ in all things. Obedience does not come naturally to us. Our sinful nature often influences our decisions, choices, habits, and priorities. We must consciously strive to follow Christ every day in order to live a life of faithfulness to God. We must choose to walk by faith. We must choose to spend time with God. We must choose to fellowship with God in prayer. We must choose to feed upon the Word of God. We must choose to be witnesses for Christ to our neighbors and friends and co-workers. We must choose to live for Christ instead of ourselves. We must choose to place God and only God as the top priority in our lives. We must choose how to use the talents, resources, and opportunities that God places in our lives.

Read Hebrews 11:23-29. Moses was a man who was given great advantages in life: he held power, wealth, and prestige. Moses was the adopted grandson of the ruler of the world's most powerful, wealthiest, and advanced country of that time. And he was faced with a great dilemma. Moses had to choose between two completely different lives: the life that led to him one day becoming pharaoh with untold prestige and power, or the life that would abandon everything he knew in order to lead God's people out of slavery. His choice was between the temporary earthly wealth and the everlasting rewards of heaven. The Bible tells us that Moses chose wisely: "By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward"(Hebrews 11:24-26).

Moses gave up what most of us dream about: ultimate earthly power and wealth. What would you have done in Moses' place? Would you have just played it safe, waiting for your time to become pharaoh, convincing yourself you could do more good with more power? Would you have turned your back on your people out of fear or selfishness or apathy? Would you easily part with the royal palace in order to wander through the desert?

When we place our lives, futures, families, and businesses in the hands of God, we can trust that God will take us to the places where His plans are to be found. When we place our faith in God and His plans and promises and purposes, we can move forward, even if it means leaving other things behind.

Where do you seek your honor--in the eyes of society or in the eyes of God? Heavenly rewards are eternal, but they often come with a price. When we choose to obey and honor God above our own selfish desires, we will sometimes sacrifice our comfort, the opinions of others, and our social standing. People may reject us, ridicule us, and despise us for our faith. Committed faith is not always easy in the short-term, but our rewards will be eternal--and God's rewards are always better than the world's rewards.

BEING DIFFERENT

Read Romans 15:5-7

5 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. 6 Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

In our daydream moments, we may find ourselves imagining what the perfect church might look like. It might comprise people with whom we get along, people a bit like us, people who see things like we do. In fact, some do take practical steps to achieve such a group: they split off from some larger church and start their own rather more select group. Lots of compatibility, little conflict. At least for a time!

The church is never to be like this. It is always comprised of people who remain stubbornly individual. We don't always think alike; we don't always get on. But it has been truly said that real Christian fellowship is only ever experienced when we don't have much else in common but our love for Jesus and possession of his Spirit. Otherwise it is mere sociability.

Paul has been telling the Christians at Rome that they need to accept each other in their different ways of living Christianly. In his case, some ate meat while others didn't. In our day it could be just about anything. True, we can only have fellowship with other Christians, but these Christians may look, speak and think differently to us.

Paul's advice is to accept them. This doesn't mean we have to agree with them, but we do have to recognise them as our brothers and sisters in Christ. We do have to take them as we find them. After all, that is how Jesus treats us. If he accepts our fellow believers who are we to reject them?

Blessings

Faith in Progress

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Have you ever experienced a setback in your faith journey? We all experience failure and discouragement and spiritual stagnation at some point in our lives. We may feel shame or embarrassment over our weaknesses, but the Bible does not hide the failures of the faithful. We not only read about their great acts of faith, but we can also learn from their mistakes. We can find encouragement, knowing that the spiritual giants of the Bible were humans with faults and sins and disappointments; even in their weaknesses and amidst their failures, they continued to follow God in faith. Whatever setbacks we encounter on our faith walk, we can take heart that it is never too late to trust and obey God.

Abraham is a man known for his faith and his friendship with God. Read Hebrews 11:8-19. In this passage, the Bible mentions several great acts of faith by Abraham."By faith Abraham…obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.…By faith he made his home in the promised land, By faith Abraham, even though he was past and Sarah herself was barren was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise, By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice" (Hebrews 11: 8, 9, 11, 17).

Abraham sacrificed much in his obedience to God; yet the Scriptures also reveal his many missteps and detours along the way. The greatest lesson that we can learn from Abraham is that our faith is a journey. We cannot expect to be faith giants upon our first moment of salvation or without constant forward motion. Great faith requires time to develop trust in God and to develop a willingness to serve Him wholeheartedly. We must walk in obedience to God and follow where He leads. We need to maintain an active and fervent prayer life to know God's voice. We must daily study His Word to strengthen our faith in His promises.

Abraham's faith did not happen instantaneously; in his story we see a slow progression of faith with many setbacks. In Genesis 12, God called Abraham out of his pagan lifestyle and told him to move to Canaan. Abraham started the journey, but before he reached God's destination for him, Abraham settled along the way in Haran. Eventually Abraham arrived in Canaan, but as soon as things got tough during a famine, Abraham abandoned God's plan and left for Egypt. Then out of fear for his own life, he lied and allowed his wife Sarah to be taken into Pharaoh’s household. In Genesis 16 and 17, Abraham followed Sarah's scheme to conceive a child instead of waiting upon God's promise. In Genesis 20 and 21, Abraham again lied to save himself while putting Sarah in harm's way. It took many years of faith development for Abraham to reach the point where he could trust God enough to be willing to sacrifice his own son.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, God calls us out of whatever pagan and sinful place we are living in and leads us in a walk with Him. Ideally, our journey to become more and more like Christ will remain straight and focused. However, for most of us, our journey will look more like Abraham's. We will stagnate in our spiritual growth and stop our journey at places that are comfortable and easy. We will run when God's calling becomes too difficult. We will compromise our beliefs and hurt people we love in order to save ourselves. We will face many opportunities to give in to temptation, pride, indifference, and stubbornness.

Abraham did not wallow in his failures or give up on his relationship with God--he always returned to the right path. As God continued to show Himself faithful, Abraham's trust in God grew. Abraham's faith development was a daily process, always learning how to trust God more and more. During the early years of his faith walk, Abraham did not trust God for his daily bread during the famine. Yet years later, after learning lesson after lesson of how to trust in God, Abraham was willing to trust the very life of his precious and beloved son to Him.

Each one of us will experience failure and setbacks in life. We should never allow our failures to become excuses for giving up on God's plans or running from our relationship with God. Has your spiritual journey come to a halt? If so, seek God's forgiveness for your doubts or indifference or fears that keep you from following His plan for your life.Identify the obstacles that keep you from fully developing your faith, whether it is an old sin, doubt in God's promises, or anxiety over the future. Pray for God's strength to help you overcome those hurdles so that you can continue your faith journey.

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.2 Thessalonians 1:3

Faith in Action

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Are you currently in a state of turmoil, believing that God is leading you in a direction that you are reluctant to follow? Perhaps God is asking you to lead a Bible study, but you feel that your schedule is too busy. Or maybe God is leading you to witness to a co-worker, but you are anxious about bringing up your faith. You do not intentionally want to disobey God, but you are feeling reluctant and hesitant about the work He is calling you to do.

Sometimes God calls us to work which forces us to give up something precious to us. Other times He asks us to step out of our comfort zones in order to share His Gospel with others, whether one-on-one with a neighbor or by speaking to a large group. It is natural to feel some resistance to difficult and self-sacrificing tasks which God calls us to, but in the end we must act in obedience to God.

Read Genesis 6 and 7. Can you imagine the concerns and questions that Noah had when God told him to build the ark? Regardless of any misgivings Noah may have felt, Scripture clearly tells us that, "Noah did all that the LORD commanded him" (Genesis 7:5). Genuine faith can only be demonstrated by obedient action. If we truly trust in God and His Word and promises, then we will fully obey Him. Anyone can say they have faith, but the people who actually live by faith will act in obedience to God, no matter where God leads them. Noah's faith led him to obey God, even in a task that seemed overwhelming and perplexing.

For 120 years, Noah followed God's command to build the ark. This boat was no small project--it was longer than a football field, four stories tall and contained multiple decks. Noah must have been perplexed at the thought of building a large boat in the middle of a land-locked region. For more than one hundred years he would have experienced scorn and mocking from neighbors who thought he was insane and delusional. Noah must have spent countless hours and resources in building the ark year after year. Yet he continued to follow God's plan despite the ridicule and toil.

Noah seemed the least qualified to build the ark; yet God chose Him, not because God was looking for an expert craftsman, but because He wanted someone faithful and obedient. The Scripture describes Noah as "a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God" (Genesis 6:9). God was less concerned with skill and more concerned with obedience. Today, God is still calling those of us who will act in faith and bring glory to His kingdom, even if we feel unqualified for the job.

Whenever God calls us to a task, He will equip us and enable us to complete that task. God did not give Noah the ark project without any aid. Noah had no ship-building experience, but God gave him the necessary instructions: "So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. Make a roof for it and finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks" (Genesis 6:14-16). Many experts consider the ark the most stable ship in all of history. When God gives us a plan, He will only give us the best plans that lead to the greatest glory for Him.

God may be calling you to a task that seems insurmountable. You may feel like Noah - trying to build an ark in the middle of the desert, with no ship-building experience and little support from others. If God has directed you toward a certain project or action, you can trust that God will give you everything you need to complete the task. Spend time in prayer today asking for God to share His vision for your life and the work He wants you to do for Him. Pray that He molds your heart into that of a willing servant. Ask Him to show you the resources and people and spiritual gifts He has made available to you as you set out to do His work.

Questions About the Rapture by George L. Hagen

taken from www.choothomas.com

As the time draws nearer for the Rapture, questions seem to be flying around with many different ideas about it. They range from outright denial that there will be a Rapture, to confusion between its timing and that of the Great Tribulation. Some believe Tribulation will come first, and that Jesus will only take His faithful ones to Heaven at His Second Coming after the Tribulation. There is also discussion on whether the rapture will be silent as depicted in the fictional series “Left Behind” where people suddenly disappear with no warning and those left are in shock and wonderment.

Here is what will happen and the sequence, as given in the Bible, and revealed by Jesus to some of His faithful. Jesus has told those with whom He communicates that the Rapture will be very soon. No one will know the exact day or hour until He arrives. Jesus states that He will be coming in the clouds to take His “Children” to Heaven. He will come with trumpets and loud acclamation and everyone on earth will realize what is happening. (Rev, 1:7 & 1 Thes. 4:15-17) The first taken up will be the spirits and souls of those who have already died but who had accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They will be given new bodies in the air. After these souls are raised up, He will call up those who are still alive that have accepted his wonderful offer of salvation. They also will get new bodies. There will be great concern, to put it mildly, among those left behind. (Luke 13:22-30) This is NOT His second coming as He will not touch the earth. His second coming is after the Great Tribulation.

Then the Great Tribulation begins. Some believe that the calamities that have already been occurring are a part of the tribulation or a fore-runner of it. This is probably true, but the Great Tribulation is promised to be terrible and nothing like it has occurred before or will happen again. (Rev. 6, 16:16-20 & Mark 13:19) (see also Matthew 24, Luke 21 & 2 Peter 3).

In the first part of this Great Tribulation the world will witness what seems to be the answer to its problems. A man who may already be alive will come to the front as the world leader. He will promise two main things -- world peace and one religion that all can accept. His program will sound so good that he will be acclaimed as the world leader. He will sign an agreement with the Jews to allow them to build their long sought temple. This agreement will later be broken. The Great Tribulation will last seven years and the above will occur during the first half.

After this man who is really the Anti-Christ has consolidated his rule, he will display great miracles using the power Satan gives him. He will even resurrect from the dead. This will convince many that he is really God and people will begin his worship. Then he will build a statue of himself and require everyone to worship it. Those who agree will be asked to accept his mark, the mark of Satan, on their arm or forehead, or perhaps have a microchip implanted under their skin. His mark is the number “666”. (Rev 2:10-12, 13:11-18, 14:9-13)

Everyone who refuses his mark and does not worship him will be first denied the right to buy anything. Their money will be useless. Their foreheads will be marked with the cross of our Lord and great hardship will begin for them. Then they will be persecuted without mercy and those who still refuse Satan’s mark will eventually be killed, probably beheaded. But these will be raised up as saints in Heaven. Those accepting Satan’s mark will be with him forever and suffer his fate. (Rev 14-1, 11-13)

Some believe that those who do not pledge their lives to our Lord before the Rapture will not be given a second chance. I believe that some people will indeed be given a second chance during the Great Tribulation. That is if they pledge their lives to Christ, ignore the lies of Satan promising everlasting life and if they refuse to follow the evil one, and do endure his tortures. (Rev 14:9-13; Rev 20:4-6, Rev 7)

Then massive wars and destruction of the earth begins. One part will take place in an area called Armageddon. The Anti-Christ will muster armies from the east, likely China, to assemble and try to destroy the Jews in Jerusalem. The battles will rage in the Armageddon area next to Israel. The huge armies of the east will be confronted with armies of God and soundly defeated. Millions of these warriors will be killed. Also the Bible seems to point to Russia as attacking Israel with their mighty air force intending to drop atomic bombs. God will destroy these planes before they can drop any bombs. All of this terrible turmoil and destruction will occur during the second half of the seven-year Great Tribulation. (Rev 16:16, 20:9)

Also during this time the earth will suffer further disaster almost too horrible to imagine. It will be far worse than depicted even in some science-fiction films. Whole cities will be destroyed. Possibly some of this will be with atomic weapons. The major part of the destruction of mankind will be the work of the Lord’s wrath because of the horrible sins of the world. Over one-half of the world’s population will be killed, and much of the heavily populated areas of the earth will be scrap heaps. Will those destroyed only be the unrepentant sinners? I do not know but it is an interesting question. However sometime during the tribulation all of the wicked will be killed or die of plagues. After the millennium these will be raised to life for their final judgment, which will be Hades forever. (Rev 16:17-21)

After these terrible times are over, God will begin to rebuild the earth and eventually locate a New Jerusalem where many of His saints and faithful ones will live. There will be a Millennium of 1000 years during which Satan will be bound and Christ will rule. The righteous will reign with Him. This New Jerusalem is already built in Heaven and simply will descend to earth. The earth will ultimately be restored to a state far better than it ever was. Possibly the majority of saved people will live in a wonderful area in Heaven. It is large enough with enough housing to accommodate all who will ever go there. Does all of this sound too good to be true? We need not doubt anything that God will do -- didn’t He create the earth and the universe and everyone and everything in it? (Rev 21:1-2,10-27)

Heaven is ready for us and our wonderful Lord has already built housing and developed a Heaven that is beautiful beyond imagination. We will live there forever with God, unless He sends us to help Him on earth or somewhere in the universe. Heaven is something that we should look forward to with great joy. We won’t be sitting around on a cloud strumming a harp, but working actively to make it better. There will be plenty to do and enjoy with recreation facilities far beyond anything on earth. We will relish new kinds of fruit and there will be gorgeous flowers and other beauty. Some of the food will be the kinds we enjoy on earth, but also varieties we do not know. In short, it will be true Paradise. (Isaiah65:17, 66:22). Our bodies will be new but will be recognizable to those who knew us, but mature adults will look younger. News about this and what Heaven is like can also be found in the wonderful book “Heaven Is So Real” by Choo Thomas. This is really Jesus’ book as He guided its writing.

Many mistakenly believe that they have to earn Heaven by doing good deeds and living an exemplary life. This is false. We cannot earn our way into Heaven; it is a free gift from God. We only have to pledge our lives to Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Lord and Savior. He will forgive all the sins that we confess to Him and make us into a “new person”. Then we will want to do good deeds and live in the way Jesus desires for our lives. (John 14:6, 1 John 1:9, Titus 3:3-8, Rev 3:3-6, 10-13)

Should you believe that the above sequence is how it will happen? The Bible deals with all of this. Sometimes sorting it out is a challenge. I am only a servant of our precious Lord, but the essence of this message came from God. On Sunday evening September 27th I was prompted by something just read. I wondered about some of the sequence depicted in a little booklet. So I quickly went over these coming events in my mind. I then asked God if my understanding of them was correct. Three times He confirmed that the above is the sequence in which the Rapture and the Tribulation will take place. The events have been described in the Bible (note the above references). The details have been written by others in more detail, but I believe this message captures important things we need to know.

Christianity EtcA God Given Dream On Rapture. by Yefet(op): 12:56pm On Sep 10, 2010
A GOD GIVEN DREAM ON RAPTURE.

This Monday morning (8.03.10), I woke up at exactly 5:20 AM at the end of this dream:

I had gone to a nearby shop while at home to buy a copy of news paper for my dad. Immediately I stepped out of the shop I heard a loud sound of a trumpet from above which attracted my eyes to the sky and I saw a sign of a shinny white cross in the sky. I concentrated on it and all of a sudden it turned out to be a man spreading His arms. He was dressed in PURE WHITE, VERY BRIGHT and SHINNY GOWN. The whole sky was lit up by His brightness. I could not look up anymore due to the brightness. From all the END-TIMES sermons I had heard and watched together with the scriptures I had read in the Bible, I realized it was my LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. All of a sudden I saw something I had never experienced in my whole life. It really shocked me. I saw so many people rising and floating in the air with WHITE and SHINNY GOWNS. When I looked up I saw a triangle of light starting from the LORD coming downwards. They were all in a HORIZONTAL POSTURE as if they were asleep. They were moving up along the triangle of light towards the LORD. On looking at the man in white, His hands were cupped as if receiving something. I reckoned the teachings on RAPTURE and knew it was exactly the one taking place. I shouted, “Jesus, My Lord and Savior!” Immediately I saw myself being lifted above the ground and having a look at myself, I realized that I was wearing a very bright white gown. Before going so far I looked down and saw a friend of mine who had been left. He was crying in anguish while putting on clothes as if he was a just waking up. He was giving so many excuses and mentioning the name of a person who had delayed his preparation thus being caught unprepared. He is a believer but seems he was not ready for the LORD. This really touched my heart. I was now very high and together with all who had gone ahead. When I looked keenly, I saw that the sky was littered with A GREAT MULTITUDE of people in white robes. PEOPLE FLOATING in the air! Like many pieces of white handkerchiefs. OH MY GOD! It was such a SHOCKING yet a SPECTACULAR and BEAUTIFUL scene! We were all being pulled to Jesus. I saw all of us surrounding Jesus while He was in the middle. Immediately after this, the Heavens opened and we all got in at once! In there, I saw collection of very still waters. Not even a single wave could be seen. We passed just beside it. Then I saw LORD holding a shepherd’s staff while leading us all, through a bumpy and very rough path .I was on the front line of the multitude on His left side. I saw myself hugging the LORD in tears while saying, “THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU JESUS FOR SAVING ME!” I then saw one of my brothers in Christ who had just given his life to Christ and I asked him,” How blessed are you that just after giving your life to Christ you are here?” He said, “It is all by the grace and mercy of God” I then met a young man who did not look like one coming from the earth and I asked him, “Have you also come from the earth?” He was hesitating until I rephrased my question, “Have you ever lived on earth?” He replied,” I have not lived there but I have been there.”… “To do what?” ….”Doing the will of my Master.”…”Like what?” …”I had been sent TO HIT THE EARTH TO CAUSE AN EARTHQUAKE.” I immediately remembered “Heaven Is So Real” by Sister Choo Thomas where she talked of her encounter with Angels on earth in form of human beings and it clicked in my mind that this must be one of such Angels. I woke up with UNCONTROLLABLE tears rolling down my cheeks while saying," THANK YOU JESUS! THANK YOU JESUS!" When I woke up to read the Bible I found it all there. (1THESS 4:15-18, PSALMS 23) LORD I AM SO HUMBLED FOR SUCH A REVELATION. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! He is coming for a prepared bride without any kind of spot, blemish or wrinkle. LET’S BE READY FOR HIM!! REV 22:17….REV 22:20 SOON AND VERY SOON WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE KING! TO GOD IS ALL THE GLORY! AMEN.

Love Your Enemies

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

It is easy to be good to those who are good to us. It is much harder to be good to those who harm us. However, this is exactly what Christ commands us to do. In fact, He took this thought a step further by commanding us to love those who are our enemies.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."(Matthew 5:43-44). Jesus admonished His followers to respond to those who hurt them with love so that His followers would become sons and daughters of God (Matthew 5:45).

If we are honest, then we must admit that often our first reaction to Christ's words is one of defensiveness. We want to proclaim our rights and demand justice. God, however, has a different route for us to take and that is one of mercy and grace. He instructs us to treat others the way we would want to be treated.

Paul is quick to remind the Galatian believers that their hearts must be set on God's goodness because goodness is an essential fruit of the Spirit. Sometimes, this means being good to those who have been bad to us. Not fair, you say?

The next time you feel as though an injustice has been committed against you, remember the Savior. He endured both rejection and insult, and He continued to demonstrate God's infinite love and mercy even to those who crucified Him.

Let Jesus' ultimate display of love be your inspiration as you respond in love to everyone you encounter today--even to those who have hurt you in the past. The evidence of Christ's life within is the outward display of His goodness, mercy, and grace. May the Lord bless you as you seek to be more like Him each day.

IS THE RAPTURE JUST DAYS AWAYhuhhuh?

Everyone knows the basic mechanics of earthquakes and that they occur due to slippage of faults, at fault lines.
So it is well realized that earthquakes originate from the sudden movements of the earth's tectonic plates, close to the earth's surface, along zones of pre-existing weakness called faults.
As such, great earthquakes are associated with major faults (cracks) in the crust. When the faults are locked tightly together, the strain accumulates without producing earthquakes. When the faults relax, the rocks slip and shake the earth.
Incredible as it is, there was NO fault at or near Christchurch, New Zealand, prior to the recent massive 7.0 quake!!

Instead, it is widely reported that this huge quake actually "ripped a new fault line in the Earth's surface".

"New Zealand Quake Rips New Fault."
"The powerful earthquake that smashed buildings, cracked roads and twisted rail lines around the New Zealand city of Christchurch also ripped a new fault line in the Earth's surface, a geologist said Sunday".

"Earth's surface 'lurches 11ft to the right' as New Zealand earthquake rips new fault line".
"The earthquake that devastated a city in New Zealand tore open a new 11ft fault line in the Earth’s surface."

"The 7.1-magnitude quake which hit Christchurch, the country’s second-largest city, destroyed about 500 buildings and caused an estimated £930million of damage."

"Miraculous"

The Prime Minister of New Zealand, "who visited earthquake-stricken parts of the country's South Island over the weekend, said 430 houses and another 70 buildings had already been earmarked for demolition by assessment teams."

"About 100,000 of the 160,000 homes in the Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri areas had sustained some damage, he added."

"I was awe-struck by the power of the earthquake and the damage it has caused in the city," he told reporters. "It was miraculous that nobody was killed."

Reward and Judgment

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

In a day of no absolutes, "do-your-own-thing" mentality, and get-rich-quick schemes, it is nearly impossible for some people to believe in a literal hell and the final Day of Judgment.

In Revelation 14 John sees the Lamb of God standing on Mt. Zion with the 144,000 believers who have His name. They are singing a new song and the angels are making announcements.

The first announcement is a final call for repentance (Revelation 14:7). The hope of the good news is announced in a loud voice. No matter what our past or present circumstances, hope is offered at the place of broken dreams. God is saying that it is not too late. Even now, today, we can turn to the Lamb who has the power to forgive.

The second announcement tells us that Babylon has fallen (Revelation 14:cool, while the third announcement is one of doom to the worshipers of the beast. Those who have chosen to gratify their desires and have refused Jesus Christ will suffer an eternal torment (Revelation 14:9-10).

This should be a warning for us. If we turn from sin, Christ will work in us and mold us into His image. The fourth announcement proclaims a time to reap, for the harvest of lost souls is ripe. People need the Gospel of Christ.

In the season of Christ's second coming, there will be judgment and reward. Those who belong to Christ and those who rejected Him will be judged. Moreover, there will be reward for those who remained firm in their faith and were not deceived. The reward is the final victory over sin and death and eternity in God's presence!

Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water (Revelation 14:7).

Look Out for Counterfeit Miracles

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Have you ever read Foxe's Book of Martyrs? It is a classic, telling of the magnificent courage and faith of believers. The accounts of those persecuted for their faith in Christ are overwhelming and encouraging. Jesus made it clear that as His disciples we would suffer persecution. He said, "Remember the words I spoke to you:If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also" (John 15:20).

When we read the book of Revelation, we learn about the beast. The Antichrist is going to persecute all Christians who will not worship him. Those who stand firm in their faith and refuse to worship the Antichrist will risk torture and even death.

However, God gives His strength and endurance to those who remain faithful to Him. In the midst of overwhelming difficulty, there are going to be the faithful who will say,"You can't harm or touch me." It is like when Jesus stood before Pilate and said, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above." (John 19:11). Or when Joseph said to his brothers, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good." (Genesis 50:20).

The false prophet will appear and perform counterfeit miracles. He will deceive the world. However, if we keep our eyes fixed on God we will not be deceived. Therefore, be steadfast and persevere because your loving heavenly Father is in control.

If you have committed your life to Christ, the events of the future or the uncertainty of tomorrow should not frighten you. Rest in God's peace. Find security in the knowledge that He is in control, that His love is unchanging towards you, and that your life is safe in the palm of His hand.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

SIMPLY RESTING

Read Psalm 61:1-4

1 Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

We sometimes have to tell certain individuals to take a break; to look after themselves rather than exhaust themselves in caring for others or in general busyness. Some such people find this hard: life is all about doing, performing, speaking, deciding, initiating. The idea of simply sitting back to receive refreshment or rest is foreign to them.

It can happen in our relationship with God. Sometimes he calls us to be up and about fighting the good fight, labouring hard to overcome adversity. At other times, all we can do is rest in his arms. The Psalmist knew all about being on active service for God. But he also knew there were times when his own weakness and faintness meant he could only cry out to God for help. He needed a rock that was over and above his own perilous circumstances. He needed safe shelter from the storms around him.

As the quaint old saying goes, there is a time to wrestle and a time to nestle. No point lethargically sitting back hoping God is going to do it all for us if we are fit and able to contribute. Then again, no point in heroically trying to be busy and active if we are simply incapable of it.

God is not a harsh taskmaster. He knows there are times when leaning on the rock or settling under his wings is the right thing to do and the right place to be. We are to let him take care of us for as long as it takes. We are to remind ourselves that sometimes it is more blessed to receive than to give.

Blessings

David Reay

Look Out for the Antichrist

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

When the Antichrist appears, he first will be known as a man of peace. His actions of goodwill toward all people will seem benevolent. His tactics will deceive even Israel, but his kindness and abiding concern will not last long.

Satan knows how to change his appearance in order to deceive and to mislead us. While the church is no longer mentioned in Revelation 11 and 12 as being present on the earth, there continues to be an effort by Satan to destroy and to rule God's creation.

Many will come to know the Lord during the time of the Tribulation, but the spiritual atmosphere on earth will be horrifying and not something that will be easily endured.

The spirit of the Antichrist already is at work in our world. What was once deemed as sinful is being accepted as an alternative way of living. Homosexuality, abortion, misuse of drugs, and much more are the evidence of our fallen society and the enemy's handiwork.

How do we maintain a pure lifestyle in a fallen world? Begin with daily communion with God through the reading of His Word. Also, ask the Lord to mold you into a person of prayer. Because sin and evil are growing so rapidly, we cannot relax our guard and think the enemy will go away. He won't--and 1 Peter 5 confirms this.

As believers, we can rejoice in the fact that we have victory through Christ. We are more than conquerors because Jesus has paid the price for our sin. Therefore, when temptation draws near, remember that deception is the earmark of the Antichrist. Say no to his desire to keep you from being all God intends for you to be.

For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down (Revelation 12:10).

Look Out for the Beast

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

A recent poll shows that 67 percent of the people living in North America believe in the supernatural. The Christian film "The Gods of the New Age" asserts that 60 million Americans have, in some form or another, become involved with New Age philosophy.

Twenty-three percent believe in reincarnation. Forty million practice some form of astrology. But it does not stop here. The poll states that over a billion people worldwide plan their lives with the help of astrology.

The goals of a godless age are simple: one world government and a new world religion. In a sense, this is the theme of Revelation 12 and 13. In these two chapters, John summarizes the history of the struggle that is taking place in the spiritual realm.

The woman that is mentioned in 12:1 is Israel, which becomes the new Israel and the Church. The dragon in verse 3 is Satan, and the man-child in verse 5 is Jesus Christ. Michael represents the angels in verse 7. The beast out of the sea in chapter 13 is the world leader who is the Antichrist and the one who will deceive millions of people and trick them into receiving his mark--the mark of the beast--which essentially is Satan’s mark.

Just like the subtle, escalating growth in the early 90s of the New Age movement, the enemy of your soul will not come announcing his intent to blind you to the love of God. No, he is much more crafty. He will seek to lure you away softly, quietly, and peacefully. This is why it is imperative that each day you ask God to make you wise to the schemes of the enemy. Be quick to respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Turn away and refuse to be a part of anything that is not reflective of the Lord's holiness and purity.

The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord (Revelation 11:15).

The Knock at Your Door

By Michael Youssef, Ph.D.

Imagine being so blinded to the truth of God that you actually miss His best for your life. There are people who are so "spiritually dead"to God's commandments and principles that they cannot and do not recognize His presence at work in their lives--especially in our world today.

Many have stated that the problem lies in our lack of communication. They believe we need to sit down and talk about the world's problems and the immoral climate of our society, but they have no desire to communicate with the One who has the answer for all our needs--Jesus Christ.

For far too long, we have been satisfied to take a backseat approach to the Bible and to the truth found within its pages. We pretend to pursue God's love, but our motives are compromising and self-serving. Some only like to think of God as being all-loving. He is, but He also is a God of justice who will judge our sins.

For now, God has allowed the door of salvation to remain open. However, a time is coming when that door will be closed for eternity. What is the sin so horrendous that it would bring this type of response from the Lord of heaven and earth? It is the sin that prevents men and women from receiving God's gracious gift of eternal life--repeated rejection of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus told His followers,"I am the way, No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). He is our only door to salvation. Is there someone you know who needs to hear the Gospel? Pray that his ears will be opened and that he will hear the truth for the first time.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20).
