Phones › Re: What Are The Pros And Cons Of Owning An Iphone In Nigeria? by Yehman(m): 8:37am On Mar 23, 2015 |
Gerrard59: I intend purchasing an Iphone, preferably 5s. I would like to ask Nairalanders who own, owned an Iphone or any Apple device to please give me a run down of how an Apple device work in a Nigerian environment.
Does network capability/signal matter a lot?
To fully utilize the features and functions in it,does it ALWAYS require internet connection?
The battery strength? ( 5s owners are more needed here)
Read and heard about its limitations such as Bluetooth pairing with non-Apple devices. Does it allow for a Bluetooth pairing with say, HTC_ONE_M8?
What about WIFI, HOTSPOT? Tethers with a non-mac computer, Android devices?
The OS, how user friendly? Are most of the apps PAID FOR/BOUGHT? I know it has less free apps compared to Android, but will everything be buy buy buy. For instance a basic app like Whatsapp was at a point under the paid app category.
I currently use the HTC ONE M8, not leaving Android in the near future, but would love to use the Iphone 'cos of
* The design. One of the most beautiful phones I have ever seen. A reason I got the HTC.
* The exclusivity of it, rarely seen. It is a statement . Just like the HTC too.
* To enjoy and have a feel of the IOS. and many more.
Ironically, I was one of Apple biggest haters , criticised the price, prison-like limitations, warranty status { Slot is not helping matters}. And which network is more suitable for it? LTE things.
I would appreciate positive comments and constructive criticisms. As for me, i-phone remains the best phone I ve ever used. Just that most i-phone users in Nigeria lacks the know-how of operating i-phone. But, for more efficient use, get a laptop and download apps like i-tunes, i-tools etc. That's would enable u transfer data, files, pics and what have u via ur i-phone. |

3dankey: Yes my brother, that is all Anambra State need to turn dubia of Africa. I have always said it, that we need to dredge that river so that big ship can pass through.
Obiano is working and I am happy that out of all the numerous MOU that Anambra State government have signed so far, 3 are about to start full operation (Coched farm Anaku, Ekcel Farm Omasi and Now Richbon). Yep Bro. Even the Ogas at the top are aware of that but, they keep side-tracking the project. Nevertheless, No shaking. I believe with the high rate of indutrialization in Anambra, the indispensableness of the project will be crystal clear very soon. |

Our hope is that Buhari will set the stage for governance by younger, proven, and more qualified candidates who will follow him. I keep asking this cogent question...Is it that there is no better person than GEJ in PDP? dsauce: Hi pals, I purposely opened a new acct for this cos of d sensitivity. Please i need ur candid advice on this issue.
A cousin of mine got a crate of soft drinks and found out dat one of d 7up has a very big COCKROACH corked inside.
He showed it to a Pepsi distributing van, he was begged to give dem the bottle and give him about four crates in return.
A thought came to my mind and i told him "Man we are educated individuals, we can get a substantial amount of money from dis company if we follow d right procedure.
Maybe by threatening to sue them to court for improper Good house keeping (GHK) during production and total disregard for consumer health safety by getting d services of a lawyer who will first write them of d situation or report to NAFDAC (last option though cos dis means making money for corrupt politicians to steal ,cos we know NAFDAC can't fine them for nothing less than several millions of naira).
As anyone ever done dis n got good money from this companies or gat advices to give.
NOTE:: pls don't castigate us, since d govt cant help us,we av to utilize d slightest opportunity to hit big time. NA to go learn jazz and make millions like u too |

Politics › Re: Nairalanders...can You Bet This Amount Of Money On Buhari Or GEJ? by Yehman(m): 9:04pm On Mar 12, 2015 |
cramjones: Here is a breakdown of monies that have been wasted by GEJ:
1. Over $40 million were distributed to Pastors and other Christian leaders
2. Over $25 million were distributed to Imams in the North
3. Over $20 million were distributed to traditional leaders accross the country. Each traditional leader in the South West received between $250,000 to $300,000 from the President
4. Each rally costed at least $10 million: This includes, payment of about N500 - N3000 ($3 - $17) to mobilize "supporters", security, logistics, private jet transports etc. Multiply by at least 30 states will give over $300 million!!!
5. Media houses were bribed with millions, we were not privy to how much each received, but we can category say that AIT was given a check of $45 million to do their hatchet jobs.
6. Social media campaigns has gulped another $50 millions: This includes payment for short youtube videos, nairaland campaigns, twitter and facebook paid groups. Payment of people like Fani Kayode, Okupe, Omokri, Abati, bloggers like Linda Ikeji and others.
7. Another $8 million each was paid to each PDP governor for "mobilization" of their people and various stakeholders
8. Each minister received at least $1m - $2m for mobilization as well.
9. Several diasporan organizations have received a total of $3 million. These organizations are mainly based in the UK, United States and Canada.
10. Legal fees has gulped over $15 million
11. $10million was reserved for Foreign media "mobilization". Fani Kayode and others did their best to see how they could win Foreign media, unfortunately the only media that accepted Op-Ed or campaign related posts were the Washington Post and Washington Times. When it caused so much uproar, WP declined further publications. Also unfortunately for GEJ and his team. The US and UK govt are not in support of his Presidency, and major Foreign media like the New York Times and The Economist ALWAYS check with their governments before a major article is written about other foreign governments. Hence the duo supporting General Mohammadu Buhari.
In summary, after putting all the estimates we have, the GEJ government has literally squandared National wealth in the excess of $1billion to win a disgruntled public that only wants change!
We can do this - enough of incompetence, insensitivity, corruption and crass negligence of duty. We must change the status quo.
March 28 is the date. Let us come out and put our stamps on CHANGE!
CramJones Okay but, keep your change. We don't want |
