smeag0l: And you want him to go there to work? Same road that witnesses kidnappings and killings almost every other week? Why are Nigerians so wicked and economical with the truth? OP, please listen carefully. Kaduna is highly polarised along ethnic and religious lines up to the seat of government. Also, I see that nobody is mentioning the ethno-religious riot of the 1999/2000 era. If you were there at that time , you would wish you never lived in Kaduna. Except if you're a hausa Muslim. Another thing is this: if the organisation you're going to work for is an agricultural one then, most likely, your place of work will be on the outskirts of town. This increases your security risk. Also, would you want to be flying from Kaduna to the south everytime? If no is the answer then I put your chances of getting kidnapped or killed on the road at 50/50. Lastly, I'll advice you to stay in Ibadan and count the difference in salary as the opportunity cost for security. You'll thank me later for this advice. Gbammest! He has said all I want to say! People hammering on the Kaduna security know what they are saying Op. Besides, you will be traveling through bandits' territories to relocate and for further journeys! Not worth the risk bro, not worth the risk! |

kevoh: DON'T GO TO KADUNA! Look at this from the perspective of the nature of your job! You are going to be working for a big agric firm, there's no way you will not be visiting farm sites. Visiting farm sites equal the possibility of coming across murderous Fulani herdsmen or bandits. Don't be swayed by those saying come to Southern Kaduna! The city might be OK to live in but what about when you have to visit a farm site? Think am well ooo! Another one for the Op who seems to have been blinded by money's perusal. |

tosinhtml: Your analysis is correct about Babbangona & Thrive agric, I really wish Nigeria was a peaceful country. Living in the North is super cheap & people can save more than 50% of their salary in the North after flexing & drinking. But some cities like Jos and Kaduna don't help themselves with their crisis reputation. You will not see anybody complain about Minna or Lafia in that same light! |

OdogwuHappyMan: Bro the difference between the both salary not much naa bit the difference between ur safety on both towns is so wide. Nigeria is greatly polarized between ethnicity. It's not the best time to take such risks please. If they offered you special packages like hazards, security, accommodation then it would've been considered. Remain at your current job, another bigger offer with less relocation risk will come again. So you mean all offers that comes your way, you try it? Make things calm down before you take such heavy risks. Remember you will be travelling always to come see your people in Lagos. Peace of mind is importanter Besides if he got job offers in safe places like Minna, Dutse, Birnin-Kebbi and Lafia (or Keffi) (especially the first and the latter), I will support him by saying move to those places and he will get job offers in those cities in no time, if he is willing to be patient! However, crises-ridden cities like Jos and Kaduna and fanatics-filled cities like Kano are a No-No for me and this is from someone who has experienced the crises of Jos and had to relocate jejely to little or no jobs Ibadan. Life first in my opinion, that is very very important! |

kingsolium: Good morning house, pls I need your views and opinions on this subject matter.
Ok, I currently work with an FMCG Coy in Ibadan as an inventory officer where I earn N175k net on a monthly basis. It’s important to state here that I was living in Lagos prior to my getting this FMCG job.
So, I moved to Ibadan 2 months ago and currently put up with a friend in his apartment while I try to figure out how to move my stuffs to Ibadan on relocation basis. But along the line, I got a job with a big agricultural establishment affiliated to a multinational agricultural firm and I’m being offered N259k for a start excluding other benefits such as airtime(15k) which is different from my main salary.
Also note that the N259k is gross so my take home could be around N230k or thereabouts.
Now here’s the challenge. This new job is in Kaduna(the state capital) and I’ve not been to kaduna before. So, house what do you think about this. I need your candid, sincere and factual advice on this matter.
Thank you Having lived in Jos and my Uncle then relocated from Kaduna, both cities having crises time after time, I will advice you to stay jejely in Ibadan. My Uncle's relocation from Kaduna to Lokoja and my relocation back to Ibadan from Jos is informing my decision here. Cities like Jos and Kaduna always have crisis and you are a non-indigene to the indigenes there whether you are close to them or not even if you speak their language, they still recognize their own. As a non-indigene in those cities I mentioned, during crises, you are always the target of the attacks! Ire o! |

GerogeI: Hello All, This is why you should not sign up for USSD banking no matter what your bank says.
I suggest your sister should immediately sue GTB bank for granting a loan in your name without adequate due diligence in less than 24hrs. That way they will be on the defence rather than attacking you to pay. You are very right on this one! Everybody now sees how USSD is really becoming a problem! |

When you dial the code from any line, you will be asked to enter the phone number you want to deactivate, and that settles it. Please share to your friends, families and well wishes. UBA's own does not work! Hate the bank like kilode! Use *919*10# to block debit card and *919*9# to freeze online transactions. Just a question for the IT gurus, if your debit card is blocked, can someone still use the USSD or app to have access into the account? |

Cantonese: Very unfortunate.
But may I ask if she truly called MTN customer care. I know that in such unfortunate circumstances the customer is asked to answer two questions just to prove that he/she is the owner of the said line. Once the questions are answered, the line in blocked instantly. That must happen while the customer care agents are on duty. I doubt it that a customer care agent would say the supervisor is not on duty. A lot of customer care agents even work from their homes.
In all, everyone should have SIM pin aside from phone lock for safety reasons.
As for the police, I seriously doubt if they can do anything about the situation. First they will reap you off by asking you to bring money for a entry and police report. Next they will ask you to bring 40k for tracking “a small phone” and 60K for tracking “ a big phone”. With no such money victims leave dejected. I am seeing three loopholes banks have refused to block for no reason with this 1. The recharge one's phone number option 2. The salary advance or loan option 3. ATM Card and OTP information Why Nigerian banks have refused to block these loopholes beats me! I am even thinking of maybe deactivating my USSD profiles because of this! |

I know the stress I went through when one of my SIMs locked in this way but if you have your SIM Pack and know your PUK on it, you will be fine! |

Kayceenaz: I beg to differ. There are still marriageable ladies out there, although very few, without a "dark past." A good number of this handful of women are even virgins, no exaggeration. It takes God's grace for a man to find them and have a mutual affection outcome.
OP, based on the information you've provided about the lady, I advise you don't marry her. The past matters! A generally disciplined, although imperfect, lady is best had as a wife. Look out for your self and future. Lean on reason, not emotions! Abi o! And about good ladies, yes they might not be fine but they will give you peace of mind as a guy. I'm not in anyway against punishments and discipline, please don't get me wrong. It doesn't, case seen is Nigeria, because we are a lawless society where people can get away with crime, that is why the country is a shithole. Even countries like Norway still believe in the prison system even if it has been shown to be rehabilitation-based! There are consequences for actions as should be! |
Romance › Re: Should I Still Marry Her After Yahoo Boys Have Used Her Destiny? by yemi1504: 3:03pm On Sep 04, 2021 |
Humanoid01: This is where wisdom and complete reliance on God are profitable.
You know that this person has the tendency to go back to their past, but what you don't know is if they WILL. Now since you don't know what the future holds, the best choice is to ask God for direction through His Spirit (because He knows all things), and He will do just that.
That doesn't mean you should ignore the person and treat them with contempt, your simple acts of love towards them can cement their turning away from who they used to be.
I'll give you only 1 cent for being reasonably speculative. I still maintain there are consequences for actions! A key rule is to forgive and not forget so you are not left holding the bag! Even the God of the Bible follows that rule! I don't believe there was anyone in the Bible that didn't have consequences for their actions even the man after God's heart in David did despite asking for forgiveness and it was accepted! Ire o! PS - If we have a society that believes there are no consequences for actions especially climes like Nigeria, such places are usually shitholes! Even saner climes understand this! |

GhostWisperer: how does forgiveness wipe away consequences?
Na Christians like you be the problem with reality.
Adam and Eve sinned and were forgiven. But the consequences of their sins are still being suffered today.
A girl who has fauked unrestrained, unethically out of boundaries is forgiven ALRIGHT!
BUT SHE WILL HAVE ISSUE WITH LOYALTY AND SEXUAL FULFILLMENT. HER SENSE OF SATIATION AND PLEASURE HAS BEEN FOREVER ALTERED. THAT'S THE CONSEQUENCES.
THE OPTION OF WHAT LIES OUTSIDE IS HEIGHTENED FOR HER! That is the problem with most Christians, they think forgiveness is without consequences when their Bible is clearly against that! I wonder what Bible Christians read these days no wonder there is a lot of atrocities since they will be "forgiven" anyways. This builds a society that is a shithole in my opinion. In saner climes, there are consequences for your actions whether you have changed or not to serve as a deterrent to others and a lesson to the people involved! Bible or not! |
