pls what if the main applicant has spent like few months (say 4-5mths) in the uk and has decided to apply for their dependents within the 11months left. I know IHS fee is tied to the main applicant's end date, so given that the duration left for the dependents to spend in the uk has reduced , shouldn't it also reduce the dependent's IHS fee ?

I tried checking via the IHS calculator and I got 470 per dependents as opposed to 705 that main applicant paid last September.

Pls I also need answers from people that have been in these situation. Thanks

This is incorrect as it should be the same not lower .... so maybe it wasn't spotted. I hope they don't come and make it an issue during renewal

I have . But I am not going there. Took about 2 weeks to get it after fulfilling the conditions of offer.

Please I need clarity on dependent visa cost for ihs purpose. Not there yet , but for budgetary purpose.
Do I still have to pay the same amount as the principal applicant even if my dependents will be coming in much later. Let's say 3-4 months after I am in the Uk.. does their own reduced duration reduce IHS cost? Or it's a flat rate for both principal and dependents regardless of period of entry of each parties?

I can now attest to Keystone bank being one of the fastest bank for form A processing . I applied on Tuesday and I was just debited 5900pounds at the rate Of 574 within 48hrs. Now waiting for my Telex in my email.

Note pls: Sole physical custody NOT Sole legal custody. They are two different things, the former is caused by separation or distance and the father still has full parental rights as u will need his permission before making important decisions about the child's upbringing while the latter is often triggered by divorce, u won't need his permission for the above but he retains his visitation rights.

I am in this situation myself and I remember I read somewhere on this thread that consent letter will not suffice . So the option available in such situation is to apply for Sole custody order from the court, this has to be signed and accepted by their Dad.. So my plan now is to apply first, when i have my stamped passport, I will take care of that hurdle.

Please I picked something from your message. Can you please tell me more about transformation scholarship? Can't find any info on their site... I applied to Sheffield for a course starting this March but the course is damn too high!

The generic refusal they usually give jare but gcms notes showed visa Officer not satisfied with third party sponsorship. My own brother o!!

2nd application : brother transferred funds into my account and I reapplied.
GCMS showed recommend interview but still got refusal letter a month after.

I have a cousin in cardiff with a registered business who is willing to accommodate and help me with necessary connections to get a part time job as soon as I arrive.

I have applied for admissions into 5 schools.
My undergraduate discipline is Accounting (first class)
I work in the Finance dept of a Public Office.
I have 3 dependants but will be applying for them much later.

I have gotten 3 admission offers in the 1,2,3 schools listed below and awaiting decision for 4&5

1. Cardiff metropolitan- International business Management (free accommodation from cousin in cardiff)
Tuition: 12,500

2. University of south wales - Forensic audit and accounting (free accommodation from cousin I. Cardiff)
Tuition: 11,800

3. Sheffield hallam- Forensic Accounting
(hoping to apply for 50% transformation scholarship but have no one there)
Tuition : 12,460,
*IF* awarded scholarship; 7,230

4.Cardiff university - Computing( free accommodation also but too expensive , so i won't be accepting)
Tuition: 18,000( even after deducting award of 5k)

5. Glasgow - Data analytics for Economics and Finance (expensive but hoping to apply for full tuition waiver for First class international students)
Tuition- 21,000.
*IF* awarded scholarship; Full tuition waiver with stipend for maintenance..

Please guys for the scenarios above , what do you think is the best to go for, given my situation

I have been a silent reader for a while. After 2 Canada study refusal I have decided to shake off the frustration and disappointment and try the UK route.i have read so much here and it has helped me a great deal.Thanks to everyone that has contributed.
