You wi still need to book an appointment date. Pick any date available. Then go very early to the VAC (say 7am) with your 42k walk-in fee, confirmation email , documents checklist and international passport. If assisted service, go with documents listed on your CAS, bank statement and tb certificate.

The visa interview is a random thing. No one can really say with 100% certainty if they will be called or not. So the best bet is to be prepared. The pre-cas interview that would be conducted by the school will help u greatly in this regard.

I am a state sponsored student and my sponsor had issues with their official email when they tried to contact them for confirmation.

You will need to pay for walk-in for each of them. At ikeja tls, Your 42k walk-in fee is not an automatic qualification for entry o. You need to get there very early (say 6.30-7am) to be considered.

Please for a family of 5, if the main applicant biometric date is different from the rest of the family, i.e. main applicant date is 1st of july while the rest of the family have different dates of 6th and 7th July, can we all still go with the main applicant on the 1st of july without any issue at TLS

The truth is most of us that are still very ACTIVE here are just looking to get our study visa. So we can't really give u the much needed insight about your situation, as we haven't gotten to that stage yet. Y not check out the "Living in the UK " nairaland thread. You should get info from people who have had first experience about it on there.

Go to the IOM centre. They will reissue the tb certificate with the updated school details for you at a fee of N8,500.

So, I have accepted my unconditional offer from LBU. The challenge now is that the address I filled on my TB test certificate is the University of Bolton address. But I am no longer going there.

Does this matter? Has anyone being in a similar situation? How did you go about it please?

The cost hasn't changed nor is my bank liable. . I think the problem stems from the functional currency for ihs and visa fee which is in dollars . So the conversion rate from Pounds to dollars has occurred, Hence the rise in figure.
Meanwhile it's different for priority that is transmitted in pounds. So the £220 pounds won't change.
So what I have deduced is that, it cost less to use dollar card for ihs and visa fee while you use pound card for priority services.

I was charged ¢750.38 and £370.72 for ihs and visa fee respectively . Used a pound card.

When applying for a General student visa (Tier 4) for student, and for a Tier 4 dependant visa for wife. While filling out the IHS form for wife. After filling wife's dependant visa application, System directed to the IHS website. This time the IHS website is requesting for the primary applicant's "visa expiry date" under the section "The person you’re joining or remaining with in the UK" Both are just applying together. Please advise how to complete this section?

Thank you very much. It remains spouse's application to be submitted. The issue with that is we mistakenly stated spouse not traveling with the main applicant when filling the form. Do you think this is misrepresentation?

How can we address this issue if we want to fill the spouse's form?

U will provide a "28days" statement.

The way I see it , u only have 3 options here;

1. Top up your tuition fee so you don't have to start counting 28days all over again and Bassey can release your cas

2. Source for funds and top up your POF and wait for another 28days

3. if you have other unconditional offer from a school that is not so stringent with their CAS issuance policy, request for your refund and apply for CAS with them, (this option may take time too).

I have had the worst experience (that I do not care to recount) with University of southwales and those two parties u mentioned( Joe and Bassey). If u read my previous thread , u will see what i also went through regarding these CAS issue.

But I thank God I quickly did the needful,now I have my CAS from Sheffield. I just got notified by my bank that they have gotten my refund from them(took 10working days).

So my advice, make up your mind on what to do next and fast, as time is running out o.

Very unfair !! They made me do Kira interview too o. And they assured me all was well since I had passed the interview and they told me to proceed with the £5900 tuition deposit payment.

Still awaiting my refund o. They gave me 10working days, which is in two days time. So I am keeping my fingers crossed for the refund.

University of south wales refused to issue me CAS because of my two prior canada study visa refusal despite paying £5900 tuition deposit, submitting POF and tb test.Time and efforts wasted !!
Thank God I had 3 other unconditional offers.

So what happens in this case. Does it mean the POF that has matured already and awaiting application before this spike has been invalidated ?? Or can we still use the the matured POF for application if the rates falls back within our benchmark ?? I used 560 for my benchmark and it got matured about 2wks ago. The school requested for it and I v been awaiting my CAS issuance since then.

I hope it won't affect that the CAS issuance sef like this.. This is not good o
