Stardamsel: Please I am going for my medicals soon.
Can someone please confirm the location of Fatayi Williams Hospital to me?.
Some say it's at V.I, Ademola Adetokunbo Street beside grand square.
Some say it's at CMS.
Please I need help. Hi Stradamsel, Happy Holidays. The first address is correct. The hospital is very close to grandsquare. You can call their phone number to reach them; altho* you need to book an appointment first. Address: Dr A.A Fatayi-Williams Clinic, 8A Adetokunbo Ademola Street, (Off Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, beside Grand Square), Victoria Island, Lagos State. Phone number: 0808 100 9943, 0808 100 9944. Stardamsel: Congrats to you. I tap into this testimony too.
1.Please did you lodge your application yourself or through an agent. 2. Did you submit a letter of support signed by your sponsor stating the total amount available for your studies and upkeep over there. (Not statement of account pls). _I checked the checklist you shared and I didn't see this cos my school is an assessment level 1 school. But my agent is requested that my sponsor should fill the letter of support._.
Thanks your prompt response will be greatly appreciated. Hi Stardamsel, I trust you are doing great today. In answering your questions. 1. Yes, I used an Agent. 2. I didn't submit any letter of sponsorship. Only stated in the application who my sponsor was and that he will be responsible for all my expenses all through my stay in Aussie. Which school are you applying to? I hope this helps. Please, let me know if you have further queries. Cheers! |

N trastar: Finally graduated from the DIY thread to the Living in Aussie thread. We thank the lord.
Moved to Aussie with my husband on the 11th of December (8 days ago). First few days was spent sleeping and readjusting to Aussie time. Flight was booked through IOM aussie so we came in through Dubai. That 13 hours from Dubai ti Sydney na die! Unlike a lot of people, we didn’t bother to carry any Naija food except suya spice because “e go finish at some point” and we honestly don’t eat lots of local meals even in Nigeria at home. So there’s not so much we’d miss anyways. We arrived at about 11:pm. All they did at customs was scan passport. They didn’t even check the boxes. We were just asked if we brought any food item and we stated “blended pepper and spices “. He just stamped the yellow card given on the plane and that was it.
We have sorted Medicare and opened bank accounts. Got opal cards for moving around in trains and Buses. Pretty easy to get used to. We are currently staying with a friend at Riverwood but will be moving by weekend to Hillsdale. It’s a shared apartment and 290 per week. This comes with all bills and there’s also furniture available so we thought it’s a good idea for temporary stay since we don’t have jobs yet and don’t know where we’d be working in Sydney yet.
Job search has been really interesting. Actively started applying two days ago and I’ve gotten three phone calls so far and an interview that was eventually canceled cos the client of the recruitment agency changed their minds on requirements and insisted on having just citizens. I am open to anything in Customer service and office administration Incase anyone knows or has any info. My husband is an IT network engineer but open to entry level positions in IT.
I’m still in shock at how far behind we are in Nigeria. Everything works! Chai! Available for any holiday outing as it looks like most companies are closing for the year on Friday. One can easily get bored here tho. Especially if you are used to the Lagos fast paced lifestyle.
That’s all for now. Hi Trastar, Thanks for the detailed experience shared. Kindly help with response on the below; Which airline did you fly and also the cost? Also, did IOM include extra charges? Thanks to respond. Cheers. |

kelvin2018: congratulation bro. please can anyone advise me how I can proceed with Medical Examination before applying for my visa or do I have to wait for DIBP to notify me first? Hi kelvin, @enyinna4 has said it all. Please, call IOM to schedule an appointment. You shouldn't have an issue with that because hardly do you see Australian applicant there. Canadian does dominate with my experience. Don't forget to take your e clearance medical form. This is always filled on DIPB's platform *I think* Success chief. |

Thanks Nah chief. Did stick firm to the document requested from the checklist tool as per the education provider. *nothing more, nothing less* How far with your application, do you have any update from DIBP yt? |

Guruindahouse: Hi my people,
I want to apply for Bachelor programme in a field different from my majors. I just acquired my Msc degree. Is there anyone that know if my higher degrees that I earned can affect the admission outcomes and immigration decision at the end?
I am planning to move with my family.
Thanks in advance for your reply. Hello Guruindahouse, From your question above; I see you have acquired a BS.c and MS.c degree previously. If you intend applying for another Bachelor's degree; you need to consider your age. Also, the ability to convince your case officer on the reason for choosing a lower degree and a different field of study. Admission with the education provider can always come through; but getting the Visa will be the huddle to cross. Success Mate. Do weigh your options. Cheers! |

Hi All, I trust you great! This is to motivate an individual out there. Profile:So I recently got my approval. All thanks to God. Inputs from this platform cannot be underrated as well. Medicals was done upfront Oct. 26th, 2018 Application was submitted Nov. 16th, 2018 Biometrics followed Nov 19th, 2018. Approval popped in Dec. 14th, 2018. School: RMIT (AL1 Institution) So; I simply submitted all documents required using the evidentiary document checklist tool. *Nothing Extra* Please, see link below. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/web-evidentiary-toolIn all, please, take time out in writing a very catching GTE (Statement of Purpose/Intent). This I believe have a great impact on one's application. Watch out for grammatical errors, wrong usage of words and above all, make sure you express yourself in your statement. Your passion and motivation driving you must be felt by the case officer *you must be articulate about it*. Thanks to @Nogara on this this one. He gave his input on mine. Great to be part of this family. Please, never hesitate to buzz up if you need any clarification on your application. I am still learning; but will sure try my best in giving response to the best of my knowledge. Cheers! |

jiyde: Amen to that!!
Well, i paid for my PTE through my agent and they got my study material (Textbook and practice CD) sent to me... I read the whole book and did the practice tests on the CD... I practiced for 3weeks (tho lazy practice till the last week where I had to buckle up)... in all sha, I did intense practice for just 5days. Went for the exam and thank God, the rest is history..
The exam is in sections... Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing...
In all, if you prepare well for it with their study materials, you'll scale through..
So to answer your question, it was a self study...
Hope i did small justice to your question..
PS: I already gave out my study material to a friend who wants to write the exam too... You can google PTE Test centers in Lagos or wherever you are to know where you can register for the exam... the study materials come with the fee you pay for the exam...
Cheers! Thanks chief. Insightful! Sent you a buzz. |

nogara: Thanks a lot for leaving the substance in my post and pursuing the shadow. IELTS is not a free Ticket to Australia , I wonder why you made it your topic. My advice, remain calm and learn from everyone here. I learnt a lot here, someone told me my SOP was rubbish from this thread , I took it as a challenge and then he assisted me. See, getting a visa is one thing, then making it over here is another thing. Your credentials and packaging can bring you here but if you lack the right attitude to learn and relearn, hmm , you may just be surviving here. Within my 3 months here I can tell you how being teachable has helped me. This is just my one cent. Hello fam. Trust this meets you well. Please will like you to help with a review, cn I go ahead with a pm to you? Thanks as I await your response. |

Thanks to everyone who have contributed to the success of my application Hello Boss, Congratulations on your TRV approval. It takes a lot of courage and determination to get through with this. I believe all other TRV applicants will be perfected. I just have a brief question based on your admission. You mentioned applying for a PhD programme but you were given a Masters' degree in U of M due to some core courses completion in epidemiology. Bearing in mind having a masters degree before, how were you able to relate this to the Visa Officer? Was there need to show any proof? Also, could this have contributed to your first TRV delay? (purpose of visit) I am sorry for the long post, just inquisitive. Also, this may help one or two people on this thread. P.s: The Guru's can also help with contributions. Thanks. |
