From a gynecologist

Well this is a dicey situation that needs a lot of patience. If she saw her menses on 16th may, then the pregnancy should not be up to 7 weeks and 6 days by June 26th. Unless what she saw was an implantation bleed which means her last normal menses will be in April. But the best time to determine the actual age of pregnancy by scan is between 11 and 1 3 weeks. So I advise a lot of patience from my brother and to repeat the scan with 2 of them present in the next 4 weeks. The scan should be done in a neutral place with the radiologist not aware of any controversy. Pls patience brother!!

FamilyRe: My Wife Is Pregnant, I Don't Know If Its With My Baby. by Yesitsme(f):
MemphisRaynes:
Hi, please I need honest and mature contribution on this matter. I love my wife so much, and I don't want to have a failed marriage, not so early.

My marriage is only 18months old. This is my wife's first Pregnancy, but I am having serious concerns about the paternity of the baby.

I trust(ed) my wife with all my heart and soul. She was away on a Job training for 6 months. The training finished on May 19th and we made love same day. She told me she last saw her period in May 16th so we both assumed she was in her safe period by May 19th before we made love. Actually we didn't want pregnancy or a baby yet because we are strained by resources for now.

My wife started complaining of strong tummy pain, plus her period hadn't shown up by June 12, so we went for a Pregnancy test and she was confirmed Pregnant. In fact the Lab attendant told me she is very pregnant. Days after I went through her chat while she was asleep and came across her chat with some guy, the chat was very suspicious. Actually the said guy is a Gynecologist, so she had told him she was Pregnant immediately after the test so as to get medical advice. In this chat the guy called my wife "luv", "dearie", talked about she visiting him, and my wife's response was to play along. At some point she even said she can't wait to visit the guy. The height of it was when the guy asked "how is our baby doing?"

I could not control my emotions after reading their chat, so I confronted my wife. She claim the guy was her best friend, that they met at her training. Actually she has always freely spoken to the guy via phone in my presence before this event so I had no suspicions until I read their chat. We quarrelled and she cried and cried swearing that she has never been with any man but me. She said she was heart broken I am doubting the paternity of her Pregnancy.

On June 26th, we were at the hospital for ultrasound scan and medical check up. The Ultra sound scan report says the pregnancy was 7weeks and 6days on June 26th. Now remember we first met on May 19th after about 6 months, also remember May 19th was three days after her period ended, she was supposed to be in her safe period. Now Let's assume she conceived on May 19th, between May 19th and June 26th is not upto 7weeks and 6days. Again I confronted her with these facts and she's been very emotional, she threatened that we must do paternity test after the baby is born to prove me wrong, she also warned that she will make my life hell after that test for doubting her faithfulness to me.

Please I don't know what to do next, my doubt is not fading because the numbers and events don't add up, I need useful suggestions please. Kindly note that I trust and love my wife, a part of me believes the baby is mine, its the maths that don't add up, and her chat with her Gynecologist best friend that keeps fueling my doubt. What is the best way to handle my situation?
the baby is yours, that's how it's calculated...Some people don't have safe days and sperm can stay for days in a woman bf fertilization. The move u took was very dangerous, u have created a vacuum in your home. Don't blame her if she leaves u after delivery. Be ready
About the chat, some people like to call others sweet names based on family upbringing. For him saying'our baby's doesn't really mean what u assume cos some people like babies and every baby is their baby. As a gynecologist, he will be very incline to being close to babies. The chat must have angered u but the baby is yours.

The rate at which sexual evils are being perpetuated in our society is very alarming and there is need to educate our kids on how to protect themselves.

Of recent, a 3year old in my neighborhood was defiled by her step-father at 11pm in her home. The police are on the case as she said it's a 7yr old school mate of hers who did it. Now the question is, can a 7yr old defile a child to the extent of bleeding?

Our children aren't safe, both within and outside their homes. Now, should they be locked indoors always? The answer is NO, should they be allowed to go out at will? NO, but they need to be properly equipped to fight against these predators.

Due to this rising concern, I would be organising an event basically for kids and probably parents to help curb this menace. This will happen within the holidays, no venue yet as the idea is still in the oven. If you know how I can make this more fun, educative and entertaining for them, pls inbox me. Volunteers are highly welcome. Thanks

CrimeNotorious Kidnapper Evans: lessons to be learnt by Yesitsme(op):
Crime they say doesn't pay but we see people, both old and young venturing into it like oil business. A case in hand is that of the kidnap kingpin "Evans" whose kidnap saga has rocked the news more than President Buhari's travel stories. Based on his confessions and that of his victims, he deserves face the wrath of the law or probably die. But the question on my lip is what can one learn from his situation? As the saying goes' experience is the best teacher' . For me, I will drive home some points that I think everyone must put into consideration especially the youths who are into one form of crime or the other, with the excuse of "No job".

1. Crime seems sweet and helps one make quick money but it reduces one's self esteem and create fear in the culprit. Imagine "Evans" using different names to perpetuate his evil deeds, am sure he is always afraid for his life thinking someone is after him. Sleep will have eluded him most nights as he is always thinking of how to attend a party and not be noticed.
2. Human want is insatiable. Just as my economics teacher taught me back then in secondary school. No person is satisfied with what they have, when you desire 500N and get it, the next is the desire for 1500N and that's how it keeps increasing till one dies. Nothing satisfies man but God....Evans could have stopped when he could but he wanted more and more money.(Greed)
3. Women are the greatest undoing of man. Evans had a wife and five lovely kids but choose to keep women beside. It was that same woman that brought him before the law. A man can be hardened enough not to give away his friend who is a criminal but a woman won't. We love our lives so much that we can't trade it for anything. Evans would probably have escaped if not for his girlfriend. Men becareful.
4. Parents irresponsibility/broken homes. When parents abandon their kids to their fate, crime becomes their next line of action. When you take a walk down to Oshodi in Lagos, you will understand what I mean. There are numerous young ones who pick pockets, they sleep and eat under the bridge and am left to wonder if they have a home. Some of them do, but no one to take care of them. According to the revelations about Evans family, it's evident he is from a broken home and this greatly affected his upbringing. Although, that is not an excuse as I have seen orphans who do well in life. In all you do, please secure a happy home for your kids.
5. Crime isn't the shortcut to success. Evans knew he would be caught some day but he closed his eyes to the voice. He saw it coming but probably said " when that time comes, we will take care of it, let me enjoy this now". The time finally has come.
6. Ladies don't chase after a man for money. I see alot of young girls running to live with a man without been properly married, even having kids for him. Please, if that is your case, run. Because when the chips are down, your standing alone. Am sure Evans wife can explain better as both families know nothing about her lifestyle.
7. Women know what your husband does for a living. Don't assume, KNOW what he does. If possible follow him to work ocaassionally and know his friends. Evans wife claims she didn't know her husband was a kidnapper, I guess she was too dumb and carried away by money that she never cared to know.

That will be if for now. Let's not just read the story but learn from the story. Crime doesn't pay bros...Yes you, I mean you. Stop it.

Thanks for your prompt response...How old is your baby now? What is her weight and body size like now? I am on the big side so I am also trying not to blow up as such.
she was 4months ystday, the last we weighed her she was 5.1kg at 3months. Although she was a preemie, she couldn't latch till 7wkz, I was expressing and giving formula but wasnt seeing it in her, I was too worried as people at health center mistook her for a new born even at 6wks. When I tell them her age, they tell me sorry madam that they asked undecided.she is chubby now that people don't believe she is the one they saw at birth.
My dear, u have to sacrifice and forget your body largeness when it's time, u shed it. People keep tell me I look big but I careless as long as my baby is healthy. After all her health is more important than those days of my worries.

Jaygrl:
Hey Mamas,I am really worried about my baby's growth.I am a ftm... He is 2months and a few days, his weight at birth was 2.7kg and by 6weeks he was 4.1kg. I remember telling his paediatrician that he doesn't look that weight. At the moment he can even be passed for a newborn. He has obviously added little flesh here and there though as he was very skinny at birth.

I started him on NAN 1 just last week as I don't even know if the exclusive breastfeeding thing is okay for him. He cries throughout when he is being fed the infant formula and has refused to suck the feeding bottle and so we use cup and spoon. The milk just spills all over the place.

I am worried as I want him to look physically his age. His father keeps wondering where the food he eats go to...Lol.

Lo's paediatrician says he will be just fine but I need to know from experienced mamas. How do I go about this? I don't mind buying a formula that I know will help him put on weight no matter the cost as all my struggles is because of him.
I would really prefer him using a bottle for his feeds (I bought tommee tippee) as it is less messier. How do I go about his refusing bottles?

Biko don't read and pass o....Help a sister
not all babies are chobby. It's likely h has a strong bone. He willget big eventually. I experienced same just dat she was 2 .5 at birth, 2.7 at 6wks so u c, yours is fine. You need to eat good food for it to reflect in his body.cheers
