mothers who plan EBF for 6months are always adviced to gradually food in bit in their babies mouth as early as 4months so that they can get the taste of other meals aside breastmilk. Since their tastebud is only use to breastmilk, it's difficult for them to eat when time is right....U have to be patient with her til she is able to eat. It's not easy but u have to

if you have a child with learning or physical difficulties or disability issues, one may even need diapers and other incontinence products till the children are much older than that. some even till adulthood.

it's normal as the other breast feels like it's been sucked. I always wear bra when breastfeeding or use your hand to block ur nipple

For the woman's sanity sake, let him hire a help rent a place outside. Yes they may be saving him house rent but then leaving there will save him a life long respect. Ur wife will naturally be expected to take up d responsibility of taking care of them of which she will get tired of someday. She is wise to have refused to stay. Pls it's not a good idea.

Mamas looking for bank you can consider mutual funds for your child. The money works and interest is better than any savings account. The one I opened is with Stanbic but some other banks have investment arms that provide the same service

The idea is, they invest your little money with all the other money in the fund on stuff that your money alone cannot carry (treasury bills, fixed deposits etc) and give you interest on a daily basis (the one I'm running currently gives me 18% averagely)

Hian, I tried to read back some pages and I had to stop cos one mama is busy asking for God's punishment on fellow mama's with live in helps whom she considers wickedness. What's your business with who we all decide to use as help? Are you directly giving us funds? Wanted to ignore this fortuneteller but decided to come out and speak. I grew up living with a distant cousin, I was 10, the treatment wasn't palatable but I had to stay cos I knew where I was coming from, I wanted something better. I was more like a 'househelp' cos that was what I was referred as. It wasn't funny going to school without txtbooks, taking care of babies when I was meant to read. Now that's what you are fighting against. I went back to my people after my sec.sch, my cousin saw me through university and today am married. They didn't treat me like their own cos it was obvious wasn't but because I wanted something better for myself, I had to behave cos my papa no send any of us( we are 7). I loved the children and they loved me as well, they were more like my siblings.
Now, I brought my lil sis to stay with me and also help out around the house, take care of her sibling while am away. She is 15. Now is that child slavery? She obviously is in school and if I had brought anyone to stay with me, it's to help out and also be trained cos I need to work. If she were at home, it would have been added burden on my mum so I decided to help. Bringing in a help is different from slavery depending on the person's age. Someone from age 7-18 as a 'nanny ' to be PAID isn't ideal but frm 19 is OK as they can make decisions for themselves, some even take it as a job. So my sister, not all who take other people's child is using them as slaves. It's a form of adoption- that's if the child is of good behavior.

Just some tips...Its winter, so rain rain rain...No matter how little it drops, the whole place will be damp and chilly...So please let's help our los who are more vulnerable to cold related issues.
My aunt who has a phd in omuogoin(lol) advised that i should always use hot water when bathing baby esp on their head and when dressing up use mentholator and Palm kernel oil mixed together then apply on the baby's fontanelle before wearing the cap it will prevent the baby from cold and catarh. I testify to this because, my sis baby never had cartarh till she started walking..
And also, the floor/tiles is always cold so babies should be seated mostly on rugs to prevent cold as well.

Thanks all for the support. It's been very traumatizing for me because I had no clue. I don't know why I felt so comfortable with her. I have been asking myself hard questions. A mum should usually have intuition about stuff like this but nothing. I keep remembering all the times I dismissed my husband's fears as nit-picking because he didn't want a live in nanny.

My first son that is usually quite vocal is now more withdrawn. How did I not see the signs? I have now restructured my business such that I don't have to be making that long journey. Taking a baby in traffic for almost 3 hrs is not a good idea.

God will continue to help our LOs.

Please mamas help me o..My own has meet me..My dd just refused suckling breast all of a sudden..It started yesterday.. She normally feed every 2-3 hours but now its takes up to 4-5 hours before she feeds..Even if she's very hungry and i put her to breast she will turn her head and start crying.. She normally sucks her thumb. She has been at it for a month+ now, she's is 10wks. Nowadays even if she's hungry she won't cry she will just be suckling her thumb.. I usually detect she's hungry if the suckling of her thumb becomes vigorous. Through out today she fed only 4times. The fourth one this night was through a bottle. I had to express inside a bottle and fed her..Come and see the way she rushed it. I don't know if my tip is now bitter in her mouth..Am getting disturbed..

Her temperature is normal and she plays as usual..Just this refusal of suckling from breast that I don't understand again.. Please is there any mama that have gone through this?I have not heard of this before..

my DD is doing same thing now. She eats more at night when there are not distractions. Its a phase I think

@Akorkor thank u very much. Motherhood is really full time work oh. Saw my uncle on wed and he was just talking anyhow that my Dh is making me very comfortable that's why I dont want to get a job. He said do I think all the money they paid for my education is for waste. I can't kill myself cos I want to pls my father all cos I went to a private uni and did masters Abroad can the millions paid for my education buy my life. I no fit shout oh.

@mizmycoli yes I do ebf but dont eat as if I am cos I dont have appetite. I'm almost back to my pre- wedding size. When people see me they are amazed. Some even say Dh will have no choice than to get me pregnant again . I really cover myself with the blood oh. Cos the way I'm feeling was the way I felt when I was pregnant with my son. Pls let it not be I dont have the power now oh. Chai 3weeks after delivery I begin kpekpus . God have mercy on me oh .
