The fractionation column does not produce everything all at once.
The order of products collected from the fractional distillation column from top to bottom will be in the order of decreasing boiling point. Hence the correct order is petroleum gas, petrol, kerosene and bitumen.

Be patient. As the process goes on, other products are going to distill out and be collected. The confusion is that this is the first time we are witnessing the initiating production of a brand new refinery.

To be honest, cargo haulage will make a profit. It's the human passenger service that is a bit problematic. It's highly probable that the biggest opponents to train services in the past, ie truck and lorry owners, are the ones secretly hoping the trains don't succeed. That is because the trains are liable to take a lot of business away from them. This will reduce haulage costs as well as reduce the pressure on the roads exerted by overloaded heavy duty vehicles.
