The same Professor Yusuf who wreaked havoc at NHIS. It is well! The hypocrisy of the northern elites in one news item. |
What about Northern Nigeria? Dey play.... |
Agbegbaorogboye:You hit the nail on the head. If not that the multibillionaires (especially those with large households) are struggling to make ends meet, the defection tsunami and agitation to unseat Tinubu wouldn't be this strident. The super rich are finding it tough. These on 30k are not in the conversation at all. They are in full fledged emergency mode. |
bigpicture001:I concur. I remember being at the reception for an outgoing FCT minister and he said his biggest regret was not building low cost houses for the poor. They always forget. |
whitestar01:The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Keep an eye on the Muslim oligarchy behind Islamist terror. IT WILL NOT BE WELL WITH THEM. satan does not have any good thing to offer anyone. |
flokii:I'm not an Atiku supporter, but if we are to stick to the facts, Obj is the one who is to be blamed for the 16 billion power sector fund fiasco. Meanwhile, there is a report I read during Buhari's misrule that stated that the power generation figures in Nigeria are being deliberately understated for political reasons. One part of the report states that FCT has enough infrastructure to sustain 24 hour electricity supply. Going by the number of national grid pylons that encircle the federal capital city and the robust substations littering every part of the city, WHY IS ABUJA NOT FARING BETTER IN TERMS OF ELECTRICITY? Food for thought.... |
All the discos are underperforming and overcharging consumers of electricity. They seem to think they can solve all their woes by taking more and more money from the people. We are already overstretched. You can't take money from someone who has no more money left. Meanwhile, the vital part of this story is the electricity. We are not seeing it. In the midst of days at a time without light, AEDC Hiace bus with a red ladder on the top swings by our estate daily, seeking for whom they may devour. Today they are knocking your gate to check who bypassed the meter. Next week, they are there to conduct a census. Another time, they are aimlessly driving around with their van and ladder combo. It truly pains them that we all have meters in my area. They tried forcing band A on us, we fought back robustly and won. Na them go tire. |
APC never had either democracy OR ideals. |
Truth be told, with the rate at which Tinubu has alienated the common man, he will perform worse than he did on his first coming. |
Shalom567:The tears were crocodile tears. He was only crying because he was caught. The "glitches" were deliberate. The man is not only incompetent. He is operating a sinister agenda. |
In highbrow areas or medium income areas, this is a superb business. Those without cars are basically your permanent customers. If you sell provisions alongside oil, onions, rice, garlic, crayfish etc, you will always be patronised. The beauty of running those in a place where people have reasonable purchasing power is you can buy from wholesalers or be supplied by them at home and sell at a high markup. People will buy at your exorbitant price because, at least, you are saving them transport cost. |
dauntless15:You sure say you no follow ![]() |
And Buhari was Pan Nigerian. I don't support Tinubu or APC. However, I think someone as brutal as he is is necessary to instruct us as to the necessity of voting people with proper democratic credentials. |
omonnakoda:This logic is twisted. It has a pre- determined destination. The South East caucus is there to represent the south East. Nothing anyone can cook up denies them this right. If your misrepresentation of issues is anything to go by, then the massive stuffing of Yoruba indigenes into government office should be used against Oloyede. If truth is the motivation, let the man be removed from that office. Let this malpractice be investigated. Let the culprits be punished. |
At this point, I'm convinced the northerners are just taking Tinubu for a ride. Decamp. Collect your money. When jungle mature, who no know go know. The allegiance of those folks can not be bought. I advise Tinubu to espouse himself to the masses by reducing his draconian style of maximum rulership. A hungry man is an angry man. A word is enough for the wise. |
The discos are hypocrites. They know full well that their staff go round the slums where majority of the households are not metered, billing them arbitrarily and pocketing the money via reconnection fees. They now expect the metered households ( who paid exorbitant fees for meters and still paid bribes to their staff before getting meters) to pay band A tariffs for nonexistent electricity. Come to my estate and see the pace at which solar systems are being installed- in households that also have full size soundproof generators. THE BIGGEST LOSER WILL BE THE DISCOS. MOST PEOPLE ARE WATER SELF SUFFICIENT. SOON THE DISCOS WILL BE ISOLATED. The second part of this horror story is the untold corruption of this government. Being brutal in revenue generation is good if you are in a hurry to develop the country and claw back the infrastructure deficit. However, these ones have raised stupendous amounts of money by putting the masses to the sword, AND THEY ARE JUST STEALING THE WHOLE THING. 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 |
The sum total of social amenities, GDP per capita, standard of living, facilities that work, government responsibility towards the populace, including subsidised health care, habitable environment, dignity and humanity available in Canada, make that 3 dollars (1500 naira or so) far cheaper than your 400 naira. "Cheap" coke plus 1000 naira per litre petrol plus band A, private borehole with no way to decode cost of data, food items, drugs and medical expenses as well as education, coupled with a totally detached and callous group of brigands and buccaneers in government gleefully adding daily to the cost of everything. That 400 naira coke is actually the tip of an iceberg o. |
They are forgetting God. |
Racoon:IT IS INEXCUSABLE. CBT RENDERS RESULTS AUTOMATICALLY. WHAT IS THE SO CALLED GLITCH, IF NOT HUMAN TAMPERING? |
27k. Yesterday. We no run. We dey. |
This is inexcusable. |
southsouthking:Not true. This is my opinion, though. |
bestman09:Thank you. She thinks we will be the ones to bear the outcome of her decisions. I thank God for my dad. He was honest. Imperfect, but honest. In whatever I can consider as faults, his noble character shone through. In lack and plenty, he didn't change. In terms of discipline, he was extra strict o. Today I am enjoying the ability to be disciplined myself and weather the storms of life. Unruly people kick against discipline. We will still hear from this noisy girl later, when she checks in with social media to testify of the convoluted road her poor choices led her through. |
Natasha Akpoti really doesn't have any reputation. I say this from a rational, objective and dispassionate perspective based on the matters at hand. All she was asked to do was move to a re assigned seat. If she had moved, there wouldn't be an issue. The tantrum which ensued painted her in a terrible light. Her antecedents don't help her matter, as well: she has a habit of accusing men of sexual harassment. She is a serial baby mama. Nothing new there. She should rest. Because these players she engaged are bad boys. She won't win if she persists in this method. |
This is not iron man, maybe a cyborg. |
Anti people moves. VPNs will circumvent the maximum ruler shenanigans. Nigeria will end up in the black books of the international community. Yes, education is not that important (boko haram) - however the elites use the most advanced private jets. They go to the best medical doctors. They stay in hotels and send their children abroad to partake of societies rendered modern by people who value education. Social media isn't what you can censor that easily. Oil and solid minerals are not quite as valuable as a quarter of the value the social media ecosystem represents. Buhari test ran this initiative by taking on twitter. His government gained nothing by it. Tinubu is towing the same path. Apparently this is a key strategy for APC. What exactly they stand to gain by deliberately setting Nigeria back remains to be seen. |
kokoA:No mind them. |

Urgent1Million:I hope they added NPF, VIO, FRSC & Agbero taxes to the JRB. |
pillager:Leave this talk! Just don't go there! THE ANTIDOTE TO TERROR IS REFUSING TO FEAR. KILLERS TOO WILL DIE. KIDNAPPERS TOO WILL DIE. TERRORISTS WILL ALSO DIE. MUTUWA DOLE! |
inoki247:I wonder. If not thievery, what concerns them with crypto declaration? |
