While I was doing a building project 2 years ago, the guy engaged to do the polystyrene ceiling work made away with money meant for purchasing the items he claimed he needed.
I went on and finished the work.
Less than 5 months later, the guy was back to plead for forgiveness. In his words, he had used the money to gamble, believing he would win.
He didn't.
To worsen matters, he fell seriously ill and the reason he insisted on seeing me was so that I could pray for him.... I told him I had nothing to do with his illness and I was holding nothing against him.
I have more than one such story....

In the university of Jos, I always preferred the Students Village hostels. Built in form of quadrangles (called compounds), two quadrangles to a compound with the shower block in the middle.
As long as you don't have too many students squashed together, you can have civilised dwelling conditions.
