The Lagos State Government is set for the registration of residents starting from January 2013.

Fully registered legal residents will be given an Identity card (ID card) after registration.

The registrations of over 21million people living in Lagos is aimed at providing better governance and to control the influx of illegal citizens .

Lagos State Public Relations Officer, Mr Akin Akiniyi who made the announcement on Thursday said every Lagosian must ensure their information is included in Lagos residents database.

Akiniyi said the registration exercise is set to hold between January and March of next year.

“Government has the responsibility to cater for everyone residing in Lagos, regardless of the state or country they came from, “ he said.

Akiniyi said that resident identity card would be issue to those who would be captured during the exercise, to differentiate between legal residents and illegal immigrants.

Hi all Good morning, I have wondered what the problem is with my BB.

Initially when I was using my 1st bb (bold 2) I used to think it's because of the low RAM or maybe because I had so much apps on it.

Now very recently, I changed it and I got a Curve4 although slightly better, I still notice that I must restart at least ones in 2days.

Nokia will never give you this type of problem.. My E71 can last a month without me seeing the battery or restarting it. So I want to know why BB have this problem and I want to know how often people restart their BBs. Thanks

Yes.. This happened recently while I was a watching an indian movie "We Are Family" It was really emotional, I had tears in my eyes. skibochi: I have been reading different comments from nairalanders and i can say the better part of them have not even picked up the new traffic laws and read it.....biko the man did not outrightly ban okada but he put them in check by limiting where the can ply. The-same okada riders were privy to the discussion on this between LASG and the association so why all this paparazzi yarns and demonstration from them? Laws are made to monitor and control the excesses of citizen and lagos state being a peculiar state is doing the needful. People are making noise that they have removed the source of livelihood from these okada men but 5-7 years back did we have anything like okada in lagos state? NO we did not and we still survived. I just think it is laziness on the part of these okada because any tom, dick and aliyu can pick any bike and start riding without going for lessons. In my estate, i have some abokis one of them is the security guard but the others were farmers who came from their villages and they all picked up into riding okada. Right in front of me one of them that never knew how to ride was taught over nite and bingo!! the man has started riding and this is the same guy that will be carrying 2 passengers o!! TA!!! make una leave Fashola alone abeg make him do him work!!

@skibochi according to reports it is an outright ban. The police have taken laws into their own hands, normally it's supposed 2 be highway and major roads buh now d police have started chasing okada in a normal street. They don't even want 2 see it parked they will carry it. That's d situation now.

Wow.. I didn't believe d registration is dis easy. Well I think d instruction page + dis forum helped a little tho. Just completed d registration and even validated my picture all within 15min. And d amazing part was that I did it all via my fone, I was amazed cos I thought I couldn't do it through d fone. All dat remains now is just 2 wait, keep praying and hoping too. I have always seen so many spam in mail asking me to log on to their site OR register on their site and BAM! Just like that I'll start to make some money. I always have a feeling it can't be true (too easy to be true) and it must be a scam, so most times I just ignore and delete d mail. Not until recently when this discussion came up again in my house with my friends and some argued that there are websites like that which are genuine where one could make money online (even tho I still dnt belive him) so I decided to post it on here considering there's a vast knowledge base here and I'm sure 1 or 2 persons must have had the experience before. Help needed URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
