@Mummy wa, it is okay. grin
NGX messed up.!
But all the issuers coming to NGX, whether Otedola, Wale, 1st Alhaji, 2ndAlhaji, Zichis, NCR, MTN etc. must play by the rules. They owe us that as a minimum. .
Lol
You know why ZICHIS issue was raising dust was because traders couldn't see to buy, insiders couldn't get so as to be a party in the manipulations, then make Fortune....
So e dey pepper every one of them.....😁

There's a place for a rule, there's another for monitoring, there's yet another for compliance.....

Some are actually bigger than the law/rule in Nigeria
The rules are meant for the weak and the masses, e no dey work fully with the big ogas..
😊

You may have a good point, but still mixing up the issues.
NGX has a blame, does not mean that Zichis has done nothing wrong or has no blame (as per the rules of NGX) and should not have been suspended or penalised.

Truly, NGX has a blame. But Zichis too should be penalized.
I would have preferred NGX fines the directors like N20billion, because I know some innocent investors may have been affected by the suspension.
To buttress my point, there are lots of stocks on NGX that has free float less than 20%, some less than 10%....
There's one I know with 0%...

* These are companies that has been listed for donkey years...
* What has NGX been doing since all these years without addressing this?

* See Premier Paints for instance, since the day suspension was lifted, more than 2wks if I'm right, no trading going on there....
Let's even assume the holders might have write it off....
What about the directors holding the large chunks of the shares?
Who is liaison with NGX, submitting the Financial Reports until the suspension was lifted?
Why was free float not addressed till now? Etc..

Why did you keep repeating same thing or going in circles here?
Where did I say ZICHIS has no blame or has done nothing wrong?
What actually is your issues with ZICHIS?

If NGX had sit up and address the free float issues, ZICHIS wouldn't have flouted the rule in the first place.
When listed, the 20% should have been enforced while NGX monitor for compliance.

What is NGX looking at that a stock did straight +10% for a month in the first place?
Where's the penalty for the officer(s) that's supposed to oversee that ZICHIS complied?

NGX leaving the affair of a newly listed company totally in the hands of brokers is wrong.....
What do you expect from a broker who is a trader, an investor with lots of customers that can generate revenue?

Abeg, I'm not replying on this issue again.
Anything they wan do let them do it.....my own be say, there has been a lot of negligence of duty on the part of NGX, let her sit up.

At least you can see what the insensitivity of NGX has caused.....reading different meanings to the suspension.
When I said NGX has a blame here, some are arguing......
Hopefully, market will put this behind and move ahead in coming days

Na wa o! We are not really different form the politicians we are blaming. The people defending Zichis are hilarious. Their infraction was starring us in the face. Just because you were abke to grab some units or you know the people manipulating the stock price you ahve turbed to their defender and accussing thoseapplauding the NGX for doing the right thing as sore losers.
I'm just being objective here.
Let's all raise our voice against double standards.....and that's what I'm saying.

Why has no one see what SKYAVN was doing up till now and issue warning?
Skyway manipulated the share price all the way from N6 to 150+ but it was normal to them because they were in the bus....
Why have they been praising some stocks and the regulators also looking away, even till now...... MECURE as example...
...but because they couldn't see ZICHIS to buy, they suddenly remembered the rule just to place the stock on suspension?

Why I'm not against the punitive measure, yet the regulators should also accept their blames and do what's right for the gander as well as the goose.

* Besides, I don't have a single unit of ZICHIS...
You see common investor wey see to buy?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56:

I don't think I have ever said that Zich was right.
I have no complaints with what NGX has done. They actually need to do more.
Pluto, you don't have to keep replying, they won't agree with you no matter what.

The thing is that, ZICHIS didn't allow them chop with am, so they won't stop blaming them.
Just see story changed once they're able to buy after suspension is lifted.

I wonder why no one is blaming NGX for dereliction/negligence of duty here... huh
Why did it take NGX this long before they noticed the infractions?
Even common investors were noticing this but regulators were blinded to it because their pockets are getting fat with 🤑 💰.

**I would say, NGX couldn't also partake in ZICHIS goodies, hence the need to look for an excuse to nail them......so they found one.
Shikenah!

By the time, they succeeded in getting in at cheaper price, we'll see their posts and narrations changed.
I don't always allow some noise to get to me.
JAPAUL will deliver, that I know.

*Loco wouldn't have allow people rest here if he's still in the bus, we would have been reading stories of how it will get to N50 and all that....😊

When I picked Unity Bank for instance @0.84k and it started appreciating that time, nothing wey Dem no talk finish here....but it went down ooo, then picked up to go above N3 again.

I hope he doesn't get tired of the insurance and exit before their rally again ...

JAPAUL is still going up
Opportunity that he would have used to enter with some quantities and average down if needs be, he's still waiting for it to go back to base.

Despite profit taking down to 3.62 and ranged a lot during intraday, it still bounced back above 4.20....
Let's wait for closing price first, to know if Loco is right. 😊

We'll be here to hear counter stories when you're able to see ZICHIS buy....
At least NGX is trying to force them to release 20% now.....😁

Meanwhile, no one should come with stories of how s/he can't see JAPAUL to buy again.
It's available now you're running away, when conductor lock door you'll want to enter again..
Make una continue...😁

Meanwhile, more smart guys are buying now....
At least, that 90M single unit bidder will be thanking those panic selling now.....

The problem here is not the manipulation, the problem here is that most of our ogas them didn't see the stock to buy at a low price, hence the sporadic attack on the stock. I think what played out is the law of demand and supply, and the sector the stock is. What could be said of Mecure when it was listed?
You get it.
Some might have petitioned SEC self.

Even though ZICHIS over did it, they should have been smart with it.
ZICHIS came at a time palm.oil biz is booming....
All the palm oil stocks were going up..... PRESCO, OKOMU
What do we expect?
It's glaring the stock price will move along with them

MECURE manipulated their stock all the way from below 10 to 80+

They only need to tighten the rules around listing by introduction.

That's how regulatory oversight evolve.
Exactly!
I think I even prefer listing by introduction self.
Sometimes, IPO price used to be inflated, then they list and the price starts nosediving...

It's 2 ways anyway.

The fact remains that most of the stocks are being manipulated around this time...... including the Big Cap stocks!
Many buying into the unseen future....

How much can they pay as dividends?
We wait and see when they starts declaring it.

Going back to where it belongs.
I hope NGX will now put an end to listing by introduction
Boss, I don't think there's anything wrong with listing by introduction .
We've seen quite some stocks listed by introduction that were trading normally...
See LEGENDINT, TRANSPOWER, HMCALL, MECURE, etc......they were all listed by introduction....

I think the issue with ZICHIS is not releasing even if it's 5% or 10% to the public when listed....
They could have been doing the release gradually while still aiming to achieve the recapitalisation for the company.

To think of it, ZICHIS is in a good sector and promising; the small OS is equally in in its advantage.
If most of the people here had been able to participate in the rally, we would have been hearing different stories of how SEC was insensitive and all that..... tongue
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 9:40am On Feb 23
ZICHIS suspended
Guess it has to do with the hoarding.....
At least if they don't want to sell to public why listing?
They've overdone the hoarding haba!

They should have chosen to become minority holders of APRN @ 30%-40% of APRN shares.. With less than 100bn issue.
Enough to get into the management board and make decisions.

It would have been oversubscribed.

Few yrs later, they can increase ownership stake to Major holders or outright owners based on performance.
Market might even price in the futuristic complete acquisition even more than the PO price but at less than 100bn capital.
True.
It could have even been partnership first instead of outright acquisition.
All that is needed is to go back to the drawing board, see the reasons why the fund raising failed and then start again.

After all, there's no harm in trying and failure itself is a learning process, it's not the opposite of success but a part of it.

If Chuka is a true entrepreneur, he won't see this as failure but correction process....
