This is what to do and also apply to those who lost their certificates:

Visit the registrars in charge of the company you bought its shares or send a mail if you are not in Lagos and no representatives of the registrar in in the city you are.
Go along with your means of identification.
At the registrars office you will be given a mandate form to complete and a demat form.
With the mandate completed and submitted all outstanding dividends not older than 12 years will be paid into your account.

N.B: you don't need certificate to claim your dividend, the registrar only need to co firm if your name is in the register of the shareholder's of a company and you are qualified for the corporate action.

Then take the demat form to your broker and it will be processed and your shares will be credited to your cscs account.

SEC or NSE should wake up to its responsibility.If Guinness comes out with anything extra ordinary in its result.Then know it that before this results get to the public it is usually compromised, friends and family sees the results.It just happened with uacn . That is why you see the demand for such share keep going up both in price/quantity.This country is just too corrupt.

These results gets to some people before it's finalized or submitted at all.
Quite a lot of these going on.
Where I suspected UACN for instance, was a situation where offers far outweighed bids, yet some people were buying at market price.
NSE and SEC just needed to wake up to their responsibilities.
See a situation where Union Diagnostic is supposed to make pay off arrangement within certain days but has extended to months now. SEC now replied me that they'll contact First Registrar and revert. Can you imagine?

Don't Sell your UACN.
If to say you have much fund or asked before now, someone like me would have told you to buy more at cheaper price to average down your cost price.
This UACN relief is long overdue.
Like it was said here before, UACN will be improving going forward......their loss arm has been disposed off, so expect more turnaround from that quarter ......all things been equal.

Can be very painful, especially if someone just disposed a stock and it starts rallying.
