* How much per share did HUAXIN bought from HOLCIM? N93
Thanks boss.
Means my calculations was correct when I mentioned this 93 sometimes ago, even when WAPCO was still selling way below this price.

Hopefully, they'll consider higher payout to the remaining minority holders.
* Make una note the hope o.....and let the buyout price for majority guide your decision makings.

We now have the opportunity to buy good stocks at cheap prices
Thanks boss.
Does it mean this downside is rather presenting opportunities to be picking in tranches and not to run away from the market sir?
That would be a relief at least.

Stocks affected much:
ELLAHLAKES
WAPCO
AIICO, PRESTIGE

Insurance still holding up, even though there's a lot of sell off, so also there are buying transactions observed ....
O&G, much resilience...

ASI still @137.7 or thereabout....
Not much downside observed so far......
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56:
Wondering what could have caused this bear around this time....
Absence of no news?
Some ogas fuelling panic sales in some quarters?
Let no one come up with school fees excuse, because it's definitely not it.
Anyway, we've been there before....
This time shall surely pass again.
Let's see if bank results can stem it.

* Quite some resilience from some stocks amidst all these.
* Good enough, the big caps are still holding up.......these are the ones capable of shedding the ASI and dragging it down very low.
It's well.

But, I think there is a press statement on this same thread a few pages ago showing thay UNIVERINS shares has been placed on technical suspension for failure to submit their report?

Which one do we believe because the shares were traded today ?
Trading in the shares was suspended around midday, during trading hours.

Part of what we are saying.....because I think it's wrong for someone to just wake up and suspend a company in the middle of trading.

They take govt works with levity too much.

On Ellah
The first result was t signed!!!!! Or dated…
And even when signed , wasn’t by the CFO….
huh huh huh
Can anyone please clarify this…. huh

Shouldn’t Ngx vet these documents?

Or am I missing something?
I've raised concerns at different times too about how the NGX officials are going about their duties lackadaisically.

They don't vet documents before uploading, whatever doc a company forwarded to them, they just upload it as its sent......which is very bad on the outlook of NGX!

I think last week, UNIVINSURE Q4 unaudited was uploaded and so blurred that you cant even see any figure.
I was expecting them to figure this out and withdraw the document, but till now, they didn't even find this out, talkless of deleting it.

Quite a number of error uploads like that....
Sometimes, it will even be multiple upload of same document.

Blame is also on the companies sending bad or wrong documents to them.
Aren't there venting system in place to check and confirm that the right and confirmed document is sent?
I'm watching out for a time some of them will shoot themselves in the leg, then it will be escalated........and of course, this is 9ja sha.
It is well.

The deal cannot be concluded until all suits are settled. They are still at preliminary stages of their suit. In fact the suit has been put on hold pending the determination of an appeal at the court of appeal.
This their deal might not have SEC approval until that suit is settled.
It is only when SEV approves that they can make the communication on NSE and then the MTO.
Meanwhile e be like say Ellah don release another thing today by way of publication
I was surprised when I read they sealed the deal already....
I thought the case is in court and adjourned till October huh

As for ELLAH, post the link because I cant see it yet on NGX

If I were you, its time to position and be watching. Definitely, the price is going to be higher than the earlier proposed, as the company is now worth more.
Oga, don't be in haste to take any position, let's have a clear communication from the new substantial holder (HUAXIN CEMENT) first.....

** I don't advice any haste in taking any action (either to sell or buy) for now.

What is the naira value that the chinko even buy per unit .For me my is #200 nothing less.I don't even wish to sell with the kind dividend I will be getting in future
You know, I warned about buying above estimated price that time when some projected N150, but I come look like say I no know wetin I dey talk.

In a buyout situation, we can't just assume a price but we can have an estimated price based on consideration of certain factors and figures.

For now, we don't even know the exact value Huaxin bought it yet..

* If Huaxin bought the 83.81% (13,500,114,800units) of HOLCIM's stake at $1bn for instance, the price will be N114.07

* If it's the initial $838.13 million, then it will be N103.85

Now, there was a clause of "before dividend markdown", so this may have effect on the unit price was purchased again......either slightly down or up.

** As it is, I don't think Huaxin planned taking the whole 100% of WAPCO shares (only took 100% of HOLCIM shares)....
Based on the contents of the deal and based on my amateur interpretation, HUAXIN did not plan delisting WAPCO from NGX....
Maybe it will now be later later date o, we don't know yet.
** I think it's better not to act in haste yet......those selling off might have purchased at a very low price of 40, 30 or below self.....
** Just my opinion.

It is equally obvious my post is bothering u and ur group. I will never stop because u people opinion don't count to me.
All u and them can do is to block me again like u did in the past. And if u have superior figures u present them to counter any forecast.
Any lie or personal attacks will be met with equally response if I want.
In 2019 when telluria marged with kpakus and recieved 1.8 billion OS it was not classified as empty land. It was quantified as a palm farm.
Or u have different information regarding that too
Street, you dey vex say I blocked you before?
Shebi you also blocked me? 😁
Okay. I don't block anyone again.

As for the palm seed, what if it's not the tenera seed Ellah planted?
What tells us that they're not producing yet self?
If their palms are not nearing maturity and producing fruits, so you think they'll be talking about the Mill?

One established fact is that ELLAH is into palm tree planting and in the process of producing palm oil.
At least not the scam alert some were shouting before.
Na small small, they'll reach their goals I blvd.

"Investing stage"
That is what some people failed to realise. It is abnormal expecting Ella to be at the same level with Okomu or presco. It is good that meristem did not say the Ella farm is not in existence as many are insinuating. Palm farming is a long term business. Fine, you might have started producing something as from five years (maybe three nowadays), the fruit and output will still be very small at this stage. Some fruit will practically be the size of a fist. It takes many more years before you really start to make the money. Okomu and the likes are maybe as old I am, and they buy existing farms and trun it around. This is not the same as planting afresh, which I belive is what Ella is doing most. I believe Ella will perform excellently in the nearest future. "Except, Nigeria." Is like comparing O and O and Seplat also. O and O too is going places. Even without PBAT. "Except, Nigeria."

I wish I had money to do what I wanted to do and still retain my small holdings. Same with WEMA which some don't believe in that time.
I could read someone even said they planted since 2020, why aren't they producing now...

My thought is: how many years does it take a palm tree to start producing fruits?
If you can get the idea of this, then you wouldn't even be making reckless or careless post or asking questions out of ignorance.

These guys planted from scratch and it takes a typical palm tree 6-8 years to grow (according to findings), yet someone was expecting huge revenue from trees yet to even mature.

One of the plans is to acquire an existing farm which can fast tract things, yet some wouldn't stop have issues over a sector they knew next to nothing about.

On Ellahlakes still, I'm currently doing some background checks on the purported strategic asset to be acquired, hopefully the proposal gets the required funding.
It will boost Ellah's revenue in the short, to medium, to long term.

At least, Meristem now established that the company is working as against what some of us were posting ignorantly here.

Long termers will benefit if all things works fine.

Remember it's just my own amateur perspective and opinion as usual. 🙂

* When UNILEVER for instance was sighted and posted here, it was selling at N11/12, it even dropped to circa N10 before it inched up small.....the company was at loss, but today, same UNILEVER is selling at circa N70...
Everything is not about immediate sometimes...

ELLAHLAKES
I think there's much ado about nothing on the noises about this company.
Let's give them a chance and not kill ELLAH even from inception....... the relief is that the management aren't much bothered about the negativities being pestered around, but rather, they're more focused on making the company a success.

I've read a lot of negative comments which doesn't augur well for this company outlook, even to the potential investors, but hopefully, this negativities will rather attract more strategic investors, more foreign and local investors.

I sincerely wish Ellahlakes a successful fund raising because, once the "Strategic Asset" they're targeting is able to click, the negative stories and outlook will change drastically....coupled with the palm oil mill, the diversified plantations, etc.

For those who doesn't believe in ELLAH, it's simple, we have more than 50 stocks listed on NGX, simply bypass her for the ones you think are solid.

The PRESCO we are celebrating today was once selling for N5, going by history.
ELLAH might be another PRESCO in the making once everything goes well and according to plan.

It's well with us all.
