When the bonus was added, was price not also marked down to deduct the bonus value?
Anyway, anyone is free to go with what works for him/her.....but for me, VFD is a great asset to have, especially for long termers.

That was how we were believed that IB won't deliver because of the dilution...
I know how it was dragged and battered here, while quite some sold it off at N4/N5, but as at today, it was trading well above 13...
One Oga holding unto it for over 3yrs had to sell and shortly after that, Brewery rally started....
I can remember how Mankind held unto it despite all odds, must be reaping the rewards now.
Many roads surely leads to the market......
We all won't view stocks with just one or two parameters alone....some of us looks way more deeper and also check surroundings for inherent values.

Learn Africa has excellent shareholders funds,but I don't like buying shares of small companies.

Learn Africa is my type of company(excellent shareholders funds);but,it is small capitalization company.

You're right.
Learn Africa is a well managed company and used to trade ahead of Academy before now.
Gave 1:8 bonus last year but the OS is still below 900M even with that...... thus signalling more room for further increase in Capitalization.
Let's see if LEARN will also declare bonus in addition to dividend this fye too.

The question I always ask myself is: If I am the one that invested that huge amount at that very time, will I not make a case for it to be converted at the prevailing share price on the day I invested it.

Once the agreement has been concluded and signed, I don't think it will be okay to want it done at the prevailing price ......
What was the exchange rate that time, what is it now?
Also, if to say the share price had tanked, will they agree to add to the invested fund?
I however think it even pays more that their invested fund has yielded over 200% in profit...
Just my opinion

* One thing I know is that the shares has long been listed on NGX, what's happening now might just be a formality.

* Anyone in this market in the past years will understand that big caps hardly move as such, despite being fundamentally great.
* Can remember this same WAPCO, how it stayed glued on one spot for years while others delivering fantastic price appreciation.
* It took almost prayers and going to the mountains before it shook body @N9 and moved to circa 20+ or so....
* From that point also, it took more prayers and doses of patience 😁 before settling @27/30.........before...long after that.... sluggishly it started moving....

** If you follow my posts, you'll know I'm not against WAPCO or big cap stocks...

Corruption is what will keep killing everything in this country including the ngx. Every now and then they'll come on the news and be urging nigerians and local investors to take advantage o the NSE, but how will it work when the system cannot be trusted? The level of insider trading going on in the Nigerian stock exchange is alarming! All those who work there and in the quoted companies, are deeply involved in this!
Before a company's result comes out, they've already seen it, and the price have moved far even before it becomes public.
Highly demoralizing!!

Insider tradings is to much in NSE

You see why I always try to watch and observe volumes in the market, as well as the direction it's tilting......
Though sometimes you can't even predict if they're actually running or rushing in, but it at least gives an idea that something is happening or about to happen in that particular stock.
