I stopped chasing after being on queue for so many days without getting to buy because of it's liquidity. The 20,000 units I managed to get before giving up has already crossed the 100% mark.

It is now all eyes on the daily volume.

Think you came after the offer that was there for several days, if not months was cleared. 😊

Me, I saw the offer, over 2m or 5m units, can't remember now, the owner just abandoned it there permanently........so, with my tashere fund, kept bidding at circa 2.60/2.65..…...
I've done my DD before then and just felt "this stock is ok for this price", mentioned it to someone to also check it out......
Then, one of those days while on queue, boom someone else came to pick all.......as not much volume was forthcoming thereafter, I just carried face..😁

Poor me. I am only interested in Oando right now because it, and maybe Aradel, fit my trading plan.

So if we are banned from talking of Oando I will be left in the cold sort of. I know there are other stocks that can give me my trading setup, such as the banks, but I can't predict the banks right now. So please pardon me if I keep posting on Oando.

Honestly I also want to be reading and posting about it here but unfortunately, those not viewing it objectively are always eager to jump on the discussions and not allow us see details of how we can benefit from it.

That said, I learnt the Company, Oando is planning to raise fund thru bonds and equity, the price not yet known......

The question now is this:
How can this be of benefit to us?
Can a Company planning to delist still raise Capital from the market? (I'm referring to the outdated Proshare article that some Nsempas reffered to).

When checked thru the article, it was pointing mostly at chop make I chop by the shareholders.......that is, the shareholders also wants to be chopping just as the management are chopping too.......

I didn't see anyone point this out but rushed out whenever they see any perceived negative news.

He has his preferred stocks (Banking stocks) but does not hate any stock still........He'll give TA and still be objective about them.
He was the first person to sight TOTAL when it went down all the way to N88/90 (followed by Currentprice), when NB first went down to 23 before the recent round trip again, Stanbic @23/24, SEPLAT @300, etc.

So far, I think I'm liking how those with opposing views and opinions, especially on OANDO and "thread cast" just kept reading along without necessarily throwing this thread to another noise making contest.

I hope we will all still maintain our cool for now.

If O&O shellholders as you called it are less with 10% holding and price appreciation follows, won't this make shellholders happy at least?

the 2023 AFS stated that they intend to wrap up bond in Q4 2024 ( i doubt if this is possible again) then thereafter follow up with equity

meaning they are looking at maybe H2 2025 or early 2026 for the equity part (when some result reflecting ENI's purchase would have reflected in result).

Oando better wait until after releasing H1 2025 results when they incorporate inflows from ENI's assets and showing very good bottom line before coming out to raise funds.
Otherwise, they fund-raising could raise more questions and probably fail to rake in the required funds.

OANDO is coming for fund raising, we don't know at what price yet but there may be pumping when the time is coming near......
Not any form of certainty that there'll be pumping but highly likely once the price is determined....
Again, not still sure of the means of fund raising, may be in form of Bond or equity or both......not limited to private placement/strategic investment.

Their Limit order is still a bit strange. I placed a limit order to buy Oando shares at ₦66... It debited me and the price today didn't get to ₦66 but there is no way to cancel the order.

The price got to 66 intraday, though with scanty offers, before moving back up.
Yours might have been filled in the process and not necessarily lost.
Check after close of biz.

Meanwhile, close to 12m units of OANDO was done in transactions today........
Someone somewhere or an entity somewhere is buying from the look of things and the movement..

I opened my 2nd account with Atlas portfolio, I specifically told them that I have CHN already and want to use it for the new account opening. A new account was finally opened after 3days of reminders with a new CHN, I have sent mails to them requesting that I use my first CHN and no response whatsoever. Can I tell them to close the account?, thank God I have not funded yet. Any implication?

Ok. For now, there's no implication whatsoever for opening with a new CHN......
A time MAY however come that merger of accounts under one single CHN may happen or be mandated (I think this was advocated for or proposed sometimes ago).....but until then, you may continue to use it if you so wish.

As for closing the account, I don't think that can be possible, if you dont use it, it will just be there.

If you however wish to open another one with your present CHN, maybe if trying to forestall possible future palaver on same CHN usage, you can consider DLM Group.

The guys that makes Proshare to be called Proshares seems to have been poached to another better and more rewarding media platforms/blogsites.

I suspect that Oando's price dropped sharply partly due to some error in the news (e.g. by Nairametrics) which stated that Oando made a loss of N282b for H1 2024.. I almost sold my own units because of that.
The error was only corrected 2 days ago, when they announced that Oando rather made a PAT of N62b for H1 2024

It's mandatory to release quarterly results.
OANDO released outstanding Q3 for 2022 or maybe 2023 recently....... sometimes in May 2024

Make no mistake, the result in page 15 is that of Consolidated Hallmark Insurance Limited. While the report in page 53 is that of Consolidated Hallmark Holding PLC.

You may like to read page 1 to understand the structure of the Holding Company (the group).

All the three pages attached are from the audited financial statement.

I expected a press release from CHI, this would have clarify some of these conflicting reports.
Seems they're just migrating to the new reporting standards.

If you notice that the Model of Reporting was both for IFRS4 and IFRS17....

The 13.8bn profit of Net Interest Income from Assets was a one off, which ought to be reported under the IFRS17 but was not captured......
We needed to know what the rules says about this and how it applies to the whole reporting/profitability......

However, the reconciliation of comprehensive statement of income on page 40 of the Oct 30 released report, the IFRS4 seems to be the true one for now........until the company will make clarification.

** One thing is that, it's an improved result but because market is generally down, that's possibly the reason its not yet responding to the good result.

The audited result was released on 30th October.Profit is 980m.This I think is the true result.

On 1st Nov another report which I guess is unaudited was published and if the 13B profit which translates to EPS of 1.20+ is true,market is supposed to respond ASAP despite the bleeding on stocks these days.

Let us do more research on Consolidated Hallmark Group .

I wonder why we have two separate reports (interim and audited) when the Audited was ready actually.

The released report for Oct 30th was the Audited and true one, from my own checks.
