Once the 83+% share acquisition is approved, the intend doing a mandatory takeover (Delisting).

The stock will rally upward this week. ₦75 per share is sure this week
Mandatory Takeover is not delisting!!
It's just in compliance with, and in fulfilment of the Rules guiding bulk purchase from Majority Shareholder(s).

The MTO may just be 1% from other Minority Shareholders just to fulfil the Rules & Regulations guiding the transfer from the majority shareholder.

We have seen it played out at different times on some stocks in NGX.
Delisting may eventually come if the new majority owner so wish, but definitely, MTO is not it.

Happy New Month to All.

The cost increased a lot now compared to when I bought. I just don't understand why the quantity I bought reduced.
- There was share reconstruction.....
- 4 shares became 1
- So, for instance, if you have 200,000 units at N10 before, divide the units by 4, it will become 50,000units after reconstruction.
- Also, multiply the N10 by 4, it will give you N40.

Na wa o, You people. Maybe my English is bad. I’m not referring to the posted link as fresh news. There is new information relating to them that is going on presently behind the scenes, I am still awaiting more details so that I can finally share
Alright.
I was referring to the sale of African assets, that it's been out since over a month.
They've received bids for it and published it already.
So maybe there's now a new development to it and you referred to this.

Check the Nairametrics article you posted, it's around Sept 2024.

Mcy let call a spade a spade. There is no paralysis. it is Oando in its usual characteristics and antecedent that is muddling up the water.
........ if Oando really want its shareholders to make informed decision then ALL NECESSARY information should be made known on the same date that the AGM meeting is being called (i.e. at least 2 weeks prior to the meeting)
Alright sir.
I believed the shareholders to attend the meeting aren't dumb anyway.
They'll seek for clarification as well.

Even, you too, you are not very sure of what it is exactly. Hence, it is good we keep an open mind and listen to as many plausible explanations or possibilities as possible. It will help all of us at the end of the day.
We cannot just close the topic when we do not know what it is exactly.
Oando seems to taking some far reaching actions to turn a new leaf; those actions will be subjected to analysis, whether we like it or not.
We all go survive the paralysis like we did when Oando was selling at N5
You know the issue with you sometimes is that, you tends to be seeking for convictions often, while you still behave as if you know much about this stock.

Not against keeping open minds, but some of the questions you're raising, you can't get answers here immediately like that.
If you have some info for us, pass it along, we all are seeking more clarifications on the new development but not more complications.

Even those that still come up with their views/info, you continue to ask unending questions.
We can't get all the clarity just in one day.
As more experts are digesting the info, we'll get much better explanations....insiders explanations may also come up.

On this OANDO matter,
I hope we can all read what the AGM agenda says?? because all these Nsempa twists, I'm not understanding......
**Says those who owe the subsidiaries and would be resolved to pay back with share allotment.....
**Then this will be distributed to shareholders..... minority shareholders probably, as form of some bonus shares possibly.

So, what's all these over analysis and big grammar twists all about?
Una don start again o.
If you don't understand, wait till AGM date for clarification, make una no come confuse person with paralysis here. 😁

From the little information I am getting,
Japaul might go for mandatory takeover hence the accumulations. When the free float is less than 20%,there aim will be achieved.
I will advice any Japaul holder to wait for the battle of delisting or mandatory takeover.
Ok. Thanks for the info.
Will be on the lookout.

It's here we're talking about all these now, when e dey happen, they'll start asking if it's good to buy.

For JP, I don't really want to talk much on it, but keep the one you have for investment and look away from any ups and downs for now.

Like I observed, an entity or person(s) is trying to keep the price down for now, for whatever reason(s) best known to them, and they're still Cross dealing it.

Sorry to say, it is highly unlikely.

NNPC a state-owned corporation will settle debts to a private company by alloting shares in the corporation owned by Nigerians? Oando and Tinubu would be looking for trouble be that.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56:
mikeapollo:
So, how would Oando distribute new shares to its existing shareholders, and then turn around to delist same shares in a short while within the same year? Na witchcraft dem want start to practice?
This could be the clearest indication that they are not delisting, if my interpretation is right.

If this works to the benefit of shareholders, then Year2025 go loud gaan!
Me I didn't see anything called delisting in the whole picture.
It's more about financial restructuring that won't make the company, O&O to create additional shares but still have shares from other companies owing them to be distributed to her shareholders.

Something similar to what UACN did the last time.
"Shares of UPDC and UPDC-REIT distributed to UACN shareholders in pro rata basis".

In this case, we don't know the companies that will be involved......maybe we start by knowing the subsidiaries and the companies involved first....

Madam yMyc well done oo. I am not an accountant, and I have similar questions with you. In addition I am actually confused with all the unfamiliar terms. I believe most shareholders that will be called upon to vote will be similarly confused. So I want to suggest that Oando publish or hold a "Facts behind the AGM" briefing, similar to that done for new listings. This will give opportunity for the company to explain what they really intend to do.
Well said.
They said it's lawyers that can interprete those terms not accountant.

However, I think the term is somehow similar to "unbundling" but a bit different somehow....because the debtors have to come to agreement, either to pay with cash or shares.

Looks like "You owe me money thru my subsidiaries, you pay me with shares allotment, then I distribute the shares to my shareholders" kind of.

Let's wait for more breakdown of the terms in coming days....
* Above na Mcy's layman interpretation, may/may not be totally correct.

OANDO
So, Annual General Meeting is coming up on the 17th of December, 2024

Wonder why nobody has mentioned the attached Resolution 3 under the SPECIAL BIZ.....
**Is OANDO planning bonus Issue?
OR, Debt to Equity conversion?

** Either way, it's looking more like positive action coming from the company.... Restructuring is coming!**

** Some receivables owed O&O to be converted to shares and then distribute to shareholders...... Something like Oando shareholders also becoming shareholders in those companies......some kind of additional shares to be distributed to O&O shareholders??
Accounting gurus, over to you o......and don't bother to comment if you're coming with your negative mindset. 😁
